I think it's because they expect us to fly with linear antennas, because i find that circular polarized omni antenna paired with a linear patch antenna works best for linear quad antennas.
I'm confused. Are you saying that this sting pad won't work with my tinyhawk 2 freestyle set. The goggles have these weak antennas. I thought this would help. So it won't work unless I get a new antenna for my drone?
Aside from the funky board perimeter/case shape, it looks identical inside to the generic 14dBi patches; not sure how they are claiming 16dBi for the exact same antenna board trace layout.
hi Steve so to clarify what you're saying, if i have a linear dipole on my vtx, then have this stingpad and a omni on my goggles. that's going to be the "best" way to set this up. that's if i don't have a rhcp omni on the vtx, with rhcp omni and rhcp patch on the goggles? i'm still a bit new to the fpv scene, so i just want to make sure i remember things right lol and get the most constant signal
I got two of this and intended to extend my WiFi5 (Ch165 / 20Mhz bandwidth on 5.825GHz) router range since it claims to have 16dBi gain. Very disappointed Results ! The gain is more or less the same as the WiFi Router's original 3dBi PCB dipole antenna. The WiFi5 Router is using the Broadcom BCM43602A1 chipset. I replaced two of the internal PCB dipole antennas with these stingpads and No signal improvements observed on my WiFi clients. 😪
this is actually a great linear patch antenna
Agreed.

Yes if you use a dipole on the quad then an omni and the Stingpad on the goggles

The shape of the outer enclosure was a real fooler
My fpv camera has dipole antenna and receiver has two dipoles does it fit for it?
Yes will work
Good for whoops , or cheap antennas made from 20-30awg cable :p
Is RHCP?
its linear antenna
Thats happends why we are very lazy... we can do our self much better stuff for less... sorry for poor english.. in not mother language lol
economic slaves don't have time to clean solder splatter
lol, shut up
