- Valve's newest game, a MOBA, is in very early acesss. While the matchmaking might be currently down, we decided to jump in to match with other players and team up against bots. Here's a full gameplay match of Deadlock.

Those are most probably just placeholders as it's an alpha (pre-alpha?) build

Seeing all these negative comments is hilarious. Like bro, its a Bot match. Its actually really fun ive given invites to all my friends. The gameloop is fun, the combat is solid, and its very polished. To top it all off the game is in EARLY playtest. This isnt even the release version. For it to be this well made before its even a finished product is amazing.
Is there a specific number of invites you can send?

@@Knut92 Brother in christ, there will be no need for micro transactions, if they make half life 3 that will generate billions for them, literally every OG gamer on the plannet would buy it, they are just allergic to money, them and SONY, imagine if sony makes a blood borne remaster or launches a pc port for it, mfs would make bilions too..
@@Lissandru369half life 3 would have comparable sales to alyx assuming you average it based on whatever percentage Vr games tend to have vs mainline sales, and it’s just been so long the hype is gone, there’s countless sequels that no one wanted when they finally came out but everyone wanted the first year or two the original came out

pre-alpha this is just playtest basically testing out gameplay mechanics . most the assets are just repurposed from half-life alyx.
that is the common excuse for bad games prior to release yes.

So, a game that hasn't been released, hasn't been marketed, has barely been spoken about in mainstream and needs you to go into forums and hope that somebody gives you a key, has 100x the players than Concord (a $250 million dollar AAA release).

@@MrH-e5v Have you played this game? Slower paced in first 5 mins? Absolutely. Slower paced when you get teamfight gets going? Absolutely no. Schmovement alone makes it incredibly fast paced.

Reminds me of good old Monday Night Combat. Anyone remember that hidden gem of a game? Probably one of the most fun (and sadly underappreciated/short-lived) MP games I've ever played.

It looks way better than concord but unless you like hero shooters or mobas this most likely won't be as popular as other valve games cause it doesn't look very casual and quite a bit to learn

Its a Moba, your classes can be upgraded in the match, "souls"/gold/money is used to give yourself unique attacks, Its a MOBA... and a lot more. There are a lot of valid criticisms here, but the take you posted was so dumb, everyone here has lost 14 points for hearing it.
Maybe a spiritual successor because at any given time, valve usually has one serious shooter and one wacky one. Tf2 -> Deadlock, cs:go -> cs2. But other than their tone, no they're quite different gameplay wise

why are people calling this a overwatch killer??? its two different game types. This is clearly much more Moba focused and looks more like a LoL killer than a OW killer. Since it is essentially LoL in a modern setting and thirdperson over the shoulder.

The positives: This character with the hot finger gun is awesome and flicking the hand to reload is great! Also, the rail system. The negatives: pretty much everything else....unfortunately...

Well a game really can unappealing if you don't understand anything what you see, its like watching a LOL/Dota game when never touch a MOBA in your life but as a 3rd person shooter the movement is more closer Warframe which is really fun specially when your chasing down or being chased by other players

it actually gets very fast with the right build and characters, you can very well double your movement speed by the late game not to mention all the insane movement tech people are discovering

HUD is way too busy. Map looks too big. Upgrades and builds don't really fit a hero shooter imo that's just doing too much. How would they even attempt to keep things balanced with all that. Overwatch has none of that and that game is barley being kept on the rails. And I'm really not a fan of 3rd person multiplayer but that's just me.
well to be fair, it's not a hero shooter it's a MOBA. i've been playing the alpha for a little while now and i'm enjoying myself, though it's probably not for everyone.
you really need to play the game to have those opinions apart from the HUD being busy.
