Man, even though im seeing the rank 1 paradox and i like her a lot, why does it feel like she's way weaker and gimmicky than the other characters? Idk if it is because I'm a new player or what, but it seems like every game i have with her, either it is impossible to play because my team can not capitalize on my ulti or she can't fight back fhe enemy heroes
Yeah I have to agree, I enjoy playing her but man during team fights if your not positioned on the flank or an off angle you just get nocked out fast. One thing I started to do is play on the sides so if anyone runs away I catch them with my ult.
Paradox is probably one of the hardest chars to play, since u have 2 skill shots, that u have to fully utilize in her kit. It would be for sure way easier to stomp/dominate with any other hero
@@DailyDeadlockContent Thing is her best asset is the swap really and when your team can't properly capitalize on your swaps (or you miss them or pull the wrong target) you are near useless and don't do a whole lot since the damage you do put out gets healed back up quickly by the enemies with this lifesteal meta. And she doesn't have the insane dmg output a haze for example has since her rifle shoots so slow. If someone is stunned for a second haze or wraith can put a lot of bullets on the target real quick while paradox can only pepper them a bit.
@@Caster_Admiral You generally want to be positioned in front of, or inside of your team depending on the time. If it's early or mid game you want to snag a player really fast and bring them to your team and slow them, then they will kill them. Paradox is an initiator. Late game I feel like she loses a bit of power, but you can make up for it with items. You don't want to be ahead of your team or you will probably get dominated (you can still do it, but it takes a lot of finesse to survive). The problem with being "inside your team" is that the fight is already going and your allies are probably using all their abilities and ults already. If you start the fight with a swap it's nigh guaranteed that that person explodes. The later you do the swap the less value it gets, at that point you are just swapping to win a duel, which she is pretty good at doing (at that point you are just swapping into your barrier, putting your opponent in a slightly worse position and killing them as they panic roll). During clean up the swap is crazy too. It can be REALLY hard to run away from Paradox and you will basically always have a follow up ult combo after the fight is won if you are using the right items. At any point in the game when a fight is brewing and both sides are playing cover and trying to make something happen a swap just wins fights. Like fighting over an objective or outside of a base. It's the base race, defense or offense, where I feel she's a bit weaker because it's too chaotic and she doesn't have any chaotic aoe abilities.
