    Thank you for this recipe. I made tamarind juice years ago when my kids were still toddler. I had to use tons of honey. Your recipe has less sugar.

    You could also just boil the UKWAJU.
    It disintegrates it from the seeds and fibre just as fast, if you can keep it overnight.
    The Pulp makes such a tasty addition to millet porridge

      Yes.
      I prefer soaking mine first. But you are free to stick to whichever method you prefer

    I like the idea of testing with a teaspoon but u can't afford to shake in the remaining back into the pot.
    Nway it's ur juice not ours but thank you so much for the tutorial.

    Used to have a Somali /Kalasinga couple my neighbors hizi mikwaju tumekula tukiwa watoi courtesy of them 🤣🤣.. Didn't know you can make juice thanks to you.

    Where do you buy your brown sugar? Coz it looks lumpy and the particles bigger not the usual packed brown sugar I see on the shelves like for kabras etc

      Not all fibre can be ingested by humans. That of an orange can be eaten by a person and in contrast, that of a shrub can be eaten by goats. The fibre of ukwaju is very thick and dense, not fit for human consumption, but goats can digest it. But if you feel you can eat that tough root & veins, be my guest. Not everything in the world can be eaten tafadhali, some things need to be thrown out and thats fine, we are not goats!!!

      It does. But so does pineapple and mint or any other fresh juice. Depends on the ingredients you put together. Even if a juice isnt a detox, it will still provide you with a ton of vitamins eg orange juice, which is always a plus!💃🏾🌻❤

      My hands are clean, there is nothing wrong with using clean hands especially for home cooking. However if *your* hands are ever unwashed or if you are frightened of using them, you are free to wear gloves. Goodday
