I am astonished and not astonished at the same time, what I just discovered (typical for me or my live). I think in 1997 I was visting a befriended family of mine in Vienna. me as Opera obsessed was for sure a command to go to a performance at the Wiener Staatsoper indepently what was performed. Funny I was able to get a ticket for the Freischütz.
Me as an wagnerianer, I had my foto camera with me, I fotograved the huge wall paintings of Brünhildes (cause I am also amused of Bärenfell Kostüme).
I put a foto in frame and just discovered it was/is Flagstad :-) who discovered as the greatest Wagner singer in all times this year :-)

Who'd believe that the sublime Flagstad was sixty one years old when she recorded this??? Absolutely unbelievable!

Habe gerade Grane..in einem Klavierauszug, Schott!!, mitgelesen, und gehört, dass sie hier und da ihre eigenen kleinen Varianten gesungen hat, wenn dieser Klavierauszug stimmt..
Würde erstmal auch in Wagners Original reinschauen...
Zum Beispiel 2 Noten im Legato, hat Flagstad als Triller gesungen
