she was the best ever. forget nilsson, varney, jones, theorin.... not even close. although jenny wilson is, but doesn't jerk the emotion out of you like flagstad does.

She was the best ever and I have obviously (born 1953) only heard the recordings. Have heard Nilsson many times, Lindholm, Theorin, others in recent years. Can only agree.
