It was the beginning of a bomb cyclone. This storm was beginning to bomb out in the Southeast (it caused Snow in Florida GA and the Carolinas) before heading north.
Hello I’m vacationing to South Carolina in a few weeks I was wandering if you guys get this much snow often in December I live in Houston where we barely get and frost during the winter time let alone snow 😄
The upstate areas sometimes get a fair amount of snow, usually between late December and February. The low country rarely gets snow of significant accumulation.
For me it’s not too much snow, but the South isn’t as used to the snow as more Northern places, so in SC it actually can be a big deal depending on where in the state you’re in.
What city in South Carolina was this video from?
I live in Greenville SC and it didn't snow that day. It was just bitterly cold.
I have to snicker a bit... we're from Niagara and my best friend and his family moved to Indan Land, SC to "escape the hellish winters we have."
That would be just a dusting here in Michigan.
Also known as a Wednesday in Minnesota.

A normal day in New York State
Bomb cyclone? That was a flurry . Come to New England for a winter and see what a bomb cyclone really means.
I wouldn't be caught dead in New England. We got PLENTY ENOUGH of whackadoodle triggered Liberals here.
Strong snow storm but lets scare the already scared left

Yeah, but if you think about it, that’s a lot of snow for South Carolina. They usually never get snow there.
