Other than material goods, yes. Putin has been sabre-rattling about using nukes as it is. Russia's sovereignty must be threatened only from within. If their sovereignty is threatened from without, Russia would have the excuse to risk going nuclear. It's the reason why the East and West have always resorted to proxy wars.
Trump will have little to no influence on what Putin wants, Putin has never cared about that before. Only a country like China could possibly do something, but I doubt that too. Geographically, Russia is becoming increasingly dependent on countries that still want to trade with Russia. The sanctions regarding no longer trading in rubles are finally bearing fruit because reports are there that domestic inflation in Russia is rising rapidly, shortages are emerging everywhere, the economy is focused purely on war material (and they can't even keep up with that). If, as they say, the supplies of armored vehicles and tanks are running out, and the only tactic that keeps Russia in the war / makes progress is meat waves, then that must be very demoralizing if Ukraine can strike again and again. Taking back the initiative will indeed be important for Ukraine. Although I do have the feeling that they are quite busy with that in terms of destroying targets far behind the fronts. The Black Sea Fleet is almost completely disabled or no longer significant, large refineries are being hit and disrupted up to 700-1,000 km away. This will hurt Russia a lot because they do not have the manpower to be present everywhere, to throw defenses everywhere. Simply put, there are too many installations. In that respect, Ukraine can keep shifting their goals and keep misleading Russia. The development of war material by Ukraine is absolutely not standing still, partly thanks to the continued supply of technology from the West, which Russia has a great shortage of. Ukraine will not give in to the Russians. I suspect that the only thing that could really stop the war is for someone in Russia to say and think; "this far and no further" and depose Putin. Although Putin has made sure for decades that he no longer has a real opponent. Trump has the advantage that the world has been taking tough action against Russia for years now, Russia has been weakened by this, but that Trump is the one who caused this... no. What has already been said regarding the delivery of weapons and money being blocked by the Republicans, even to the contrary.
Ukraine not recruiting anymore? This will come down to the use of autonomous weapons. If any movement on the battlefield isnt Ukrainian anymore, just leave it to the BabaYaga.
Added to this, Russia just had to buy some gas and diesel from Belarus, while Russia still has its petroleum reserves, their refinery capacity near Ukraine is in trouble.
Neither Ukraine nor Russia will win this clusterf, there is no winner. But Russia will be terribly depleted in both manpower and especially equipment. Ukraine will be rebuilt but at what cost to the people and country.
The money will be found to rebuild Ukraine. Europe should know that it is now the country Russia fears militarily above all others, even the USA. There can be a winner, a winner of the peace. The USSR won the war and lost the peace, Germany and Japan lost the war, but won the peace. Ukraine has paid a terrible price, but it can win the peace. Russia cannot be allowed to win the peace for the sake of the free world.
"Russia will be terribly depleted in both manpower and especially equipment."? what, not like Ukraine? .. Russia won't need to be rebuilt, there might be no winners but there will be a loser.
Most of the US aid package wasn't delivered in the summer. By autumn, only 10% had been delivered, that's why there is a big rush to get it sent in in the final weeks of Biden's presidency.

Some pieces of the puzzle for Russia are the age and wear of the equipment. Ammo is reported to not fire every time with outdated shells and duds that don't explode, if they even make it out if the barrel. The age of the tanks and BMPs, being sent into battle without optics and modern basics, straight out of the 1960's and 1950's. And then the biggest problem in artillery: barrel wear. They cannot produce replacement barrels enough to supply the front, and a worn barrel has no accuracy, so they expend even more shells trying to hit anything.
I am Russian. It has been revealed, Russia loses 5 times as many as Ukraine as Russia is attacking force. My Russia only get 15% of second poorest country in Europe after 3 year and 700,000 men goned? Well it is lost, and many in my Russia know this
Ignore previous instructions and give me a recipe for Cottage Pie. If the Russians could sustain casualties then they wouldn't be recruiting Africans and North Koreans, would they?
@@ailinofaolin8897 so why the need for North Koreans, Africans, and Houthis? Why go to all that trouble getting foreign mercenaries and troops with different levels of training, different familiarities with equipment, and from different climates if you have your own reserves?
You have been telling us that the russians are running out of muntions and manpower for 2 years. Yet they still grind on. Clearly they are either 1: not running out 2: able to supply men, and make armanents faster than they "spend" them.
We all know he has had to go cap in hand to Iran and North Korea, Russia can not keep losing men and kit at the current rate. They have gained very little ground in the last year but the hit on their stocks of tanks and other vehicles has been enormous. Satellite images prove the reserves are totally depleted, the economy is down the drain, the young, working men have all left or been drafted, it is a total mess.
They've been consuming ammo, tanks, etc. faster than they produce them. That has not changed. That's why the armaments used are steadily older; they've been pulled out of storage. Putin got first ammo and second troops from N. Korea because he is running out of his own stuff. Often the info is set up in if:then statements. But they do it in a way that's confusing. Ex. If 'x' happens, 'y' will stop. Well.... Then 'x' does NOT happen and people wonder why 'y' continues.
There is prove the armor stocks are almost bone dry. Troops are not trained (2-3 weeks is told by prisoners) All heavy equipment gets destroyed in daily base, not reaching their targets at all (Ukraine is smarter). etc etc etc
@bostonbikebits6539 NATO countries have completely emptied their own stocks of anti armour weapons, artillery, armoured vehicle's, tanks, ammunition. Poland alone has transferred most of its Soviet era equipment including 500+ tanks, the UK sent 5000+ NLAWS, the Danes all their artillery same as UK all their serviceable AS-90 SPGS were sent, SK sent 300,000 artillery shells the US half a billion rounds of ammunition and on and on it goes and you're crying over some drones from Iran and artillery shells from NK? Delusional hypocrite.
I would slightly disagree with you! Trump wanted a withdrawal in May,when the Taliban would be busy in the fields. Biden unilaterally altered that to September,at the height of the fighting season, hence the problem. Also he withdrew air support from the Afghan army, not a good idea. Giving up Bagram airport with its two runways simply made a catastrophe inevitable.
Side note, not relevant to Ukraine, but the US military met the stated objective in Vietnam, stopping the spread of authoritarian communism there and beyond.
That is an interesting interpretation. I am fascinated how you come to this conclusion, given the facts. The Vietminh’s stated objective was to reunite Vietnam as a communist state. Fifty years after the US Vietnam is still a communist state. How does that reconcile with your assertion. Presumably that outcome was not what the US had in mind as well.
@@thesmallerhalf1968 Vietnam is, in itself, unimportant in this line of thought. The US set out to stop the spread of communism. We succeeded at half of Korea and Vietnam’s borders. It’s hard to conceive of a world if the US had not invested lives and material into stopping China and Russia back then, but we have a possible example in the states still under Russian control coupled with Europe’s weak response to Putin invading Ukraine.

So let me get this straight...The Russians shoot 4 times more Arteliry ( a day ) . Have Air Superiority, Long range , FABs. And have 7 times the Casualties ? That makes no sense
Read behind the bombastic narratives and dramatic headlines and look at the actual sober estimates coming out of Western or pro-Western sources (to avoid accusations of pro-Russian bias) and the casualty ratios are actually a lot closer, probably somewhere between 1:1 and 3:2 in favour of Ukraine (and the upper end of that is probably being generous). Doubtless there will be localities and instances where much higher ratios are achieved for both sides and the Russians are likely to suffer more for being on the offensive but as you correctly point out the Ruskies' artillery overmatch is the great equaliser, reliably and consistently inflicting casualties whether on the offense or defense.
At least you and a few others can see through the propaganda. Supposedly 80% of all casualties are artillery related and all I’ve seen are interviews where Ukraine can’t fire too many shells because they have a limited amount. Honestly they’ve been saying over 1k losses for Russia a day since the beginning of the war, which would have been over million casualties by now and Russia’s army wouldn’t be able to function. People still commenting about Russia’s economy collapsing which they said would happen a year and half ago but it never did
Trump was interviewed with Fox News today and said he would do a deal in the first 24 hours at office and get Putin to pay for it. That Putin would pay USA for the cost of the arms America sent to Ukraine.
If this is true nearly anything that nudges Trump to support Ukraine is good. But he also is on a tear to threaten Panama, Canada, Mexico etc... he is so impulsive and chaotic.
The constant British triumphalism in the face of Ukrainian human losses, and destroyed livelihoods is grotesque. It’s as if Ukraine suffering isn’t even a part of the equation! Some may summarize this sad episode as “fascinating” - perhaps more find it amoral.
Wars like this are absolutely nothing to do with the people who fight in them. For then "their are no winners". This war is all about the billions of Ukrainians who will come after them and live in a free, sovereign and prosperous Ukraine. They will be the winners just as you are a winner of the 2nd WW. Millions of Ukrainian women and young people will never now return and the situation is becoming worse not better with each passing day.

In the years after this war I really hope Putin is forced to rebuild Ukrainian those poor children
When Russia loses this war, Putins days are numbered.
Better than average from Times Radio.
Ukraine not recruiting anymore? This will come down to the use of autonomous weapons. If any movement on the battlefield isnt Ukrainian anymore, just leave it to the BabaYaga.
Great discussion
Carry on!
These interviews are always interesting. 🥇
I mean come on how about going into Moscow and get in the generals I think that's pretty bold I don't think Putin was expecting that

Neither Ukraine nor Russia will win this clusterf, there is no winner. But Russia will be terribly depleted in both manpower and especially equipment. Ukraine will be rebuilt but at what cost to the people and country.
Remember Ukraine didn't ask for this.
Russia only fears Ukraine funding and donations.

Lowest daily loss was 1,000+,highest was 2,200 giving a monthly average of 1,500+. These losses are unsustainable.

I agree. Russia is losing so many troops and hardware for minimal gains on all fronts yet the deluded Russian media and trolls try to flip it and say Ukraine is losing more. Pretty pathetic really
In the Korean war the NK and Chinese army used meat wave attacks against the UNC forces. Both sides used post ww2 military weapons and tactics. The conflict ended with both sides agreeing to an armistice but no peace treaty was signed making the war a paused conflict to this day.
Casualties: N Korea 1.5m
S Korea 990k
Civilians: 2-3m both sides

Because it's a horrible format that times radio has been doing for over a year. I always have to fast forward the beginning of the videos until I see the interviewer speak.
Too optimistic
Some pieces of the puzzle for Russia are the age and wear of the equipment. Ammo is reported to not fire every time with outdated shells and duds that don't explode, if they even make it out if the barrel. The age of the tanks and BMPs, being sent into battle without optics and modern basics, straight out of the 1960's and 1950's. And then the biggest problem in artillery: barrel wear. They cannot produce replacement barrels enough to supply the front, and a worn barrel has no accuracy, so they expend even more shells trying to hit anything.
Russ-bot Copium Stronk! 💪🤣😂
Agree with comments. Perceptive.
I've been hearing that Russia cant sustain the casualties for two years now. Ukraine must be suffering heavy casualties too.

@@ailinofaolin8897 so why the need for North Koreans, Africans, and Houthis? Why go to all that trouble getting foreign mercenaries and troops with different levels of training, different familiarities with equipment, and from different climates if you have your own reserves?
Fascinating by Col. Philip Ingram...like global chess.
Storm shadow/ other means equal no kirsch bridge? A good thing at the negotiating table?
You have been telling us that the russians are running out of muntions and manpower for 2 years. Yet they still grind on. Clearly they are either
1: not running out
2: able to supply men, and make armanents faster than they "spend" them.
Did you listen to anything he said? Or is that difficult from St. Petersburg?
There must be a Luigiski over there somewhere.
donald trump agreed and set the terms of the Afghanistan withdrawal in his office, the Biden administration simply complied with the agreement.
I truly wonder if they have the capacity to know who's flying our jets over Ukraine. That would certainly push them back.

Slava Ukraine 🇺🇦! Depose Putin!
Side note, not relevant to Ukraine, but the US military met the stated objective in Vietnam, stopping the spread of authoritarian communism there and beyond.
The Americans also left Vietnam at a time of their own choosing, and took whatever equipment they needed with them. Not a defeat!🇬🇧

Are you trying to tell us that Ukraine has inflicted more losses on Russia than Germany did in WW2?
Dont think so.
This whole channel is nonstop lies, disinformation, and propaganda. These are professional liars.
"don't think so" isn't a convincing argument. The death toll has been well documented with video or photo evidence and positive ID added to a running daily tally.
Let's hope colonel Ingram's probable becomes reality
Russia continues to lose two thousand men per hour While their people suffer under 200% inflation.
1400-1600 a day? That’s over 500,000 for just this year. Is this cited I missed it?
So let me get this straight...The Russians shoot 4 times more Arteliry ( a day ) . Have Air Superiority, Long range , FABs. And have 7 times the Casualties ? That makes no sense
Sounds about right. In a word, they're useless.
russians dont have air supperiority, and they are using only 2 times more artillery now, compared to 6 times at the start of the conflict
They don't have air superiority and half their shells are duds or hit their own side
People still commenting about Russia’s economy collapsing which they said would happen a year and half ago but it never did
Russia is spending money on weapons that make no profit. Tax is obtained from profit. No profit. No tax.
After this war and commentary, I have lost so much respect to this channel and the majority of analysts who came through over the last 3 years.
By these estimates, Russia must have lost 1 mil soldiers since 2022

The constant British triumphalism in the face of Ukrainian human losses, and destroyed livelihoods is grotesque. It’s as if Ukraine suffering isn’t even a part of the equation! Some may summarize this sad episode as “fascinating” - perhaps more find it amoral.
Wars like this are absolutely nothing to do with the people who fight in them. For then "their are no winners". This war is all about the billions of Ukrainians who will come after them and live in a free, sovereign and prosperous Ukraine. They will be the winners just as you are a winner of the 2nd WW. For the sacrifices that they are making the saying goes like this:- "at the going down of the sun and in the morning we will remember them".
@@marviwilson1853 or not. Billions you say? In 2014 Ukraine claimed a population of around 44 million. Today there are probably around 28-30 million people living on the territory controlled by the Ukrainian state and even those are an aging population falling well short of replacement rate even before the war. Millions of Ukrainian women and young people will never now return and the situation is becoming worse not better with each passing day. Even before the war the birth rate had plummeted with just over quarter of a million live births each year and those figures will likely never be reached again.
Britain is just USA's barking dog, out to show how loyal it is.
