this game is actually really sick. A year or two removed from its release and it has aged so poorly. It's nothing more than a masturbatory edgy gorefest for a creepy pedophilic Hollywood reject (Druckmann). I remember the visceral hatred towards the game at launch and now looking back, TLOU2 was just incredibly disturbing. Filled with 'subversive' writing tropes that serve to do nothing more than pull a 'gotcha' on the players. What the fuck is wrong with ND.
Instead of Abby we should have been able to play Tommy. Dude was total badass throught the game. The whole game you hear radio chatter of WLF freaking out over this one trespasser who taking out whole squads. We get to see first hand how badass he is when he almost takes down abby. Actually screw ellie she aint got shit on Tommy. Tommy should have been the main character instead. I was mad they even managed to ruin him in the end. He is now a beaten up lost soul whose wife left him (for what? wanting justicew for his brother?) and now he just nags ellie to remind her of her promise. What the fuck naughty dog?
The game should've had a crew of Fire Flies that were hunting Joel maybe led by Marlene's brother and attack the camp in Wyoming and kill Dina and Jesse. Then Joel and Ellie go after them, halfway through they can ambush Joel and kill him, while he's dying he can admit to Ellie why they came after him. Then after Ellie is upset by this, but she still wants to avenge Joel, so she and Tommy go to Seattle to find the Fireflies that have teamed up with the Wolves. Maybe the Seraphim's can be a group they run into on the way there to kill every single one of the Wolves and Fireflies. Also there would be no Abby whatsoever. The character is fucking stupid and just unrealistic!

You're not saying anything grounded in fact. I could use the same line of reasoning for Nora's death. The game is supposedly about the cycle of revenge. Showing Nora's death could (in theory) satiate the player's rage and thirst for revenge, sinking them deeper into Ellie's shoes and making her final decision to spare Abby more impactful. See? I can do it too.

There was another call writer who didn’t let Neil take that direction for the whole game. That man helps save the last of us part one. Simple, they left the company. Bruce Straley was game director of the first game and kept everything even kilter with the story in relations to the game design. At the time, Amy Henning and Naughty Dog had a writers room, that was able to go through and vet the scripts before it went into production. That's why the first one ended up being a classic. It took a village to make that game into a reality. TLOU2 is solely Druckmann's baby with a bunch of yes people around him within the Narrative Lead role and 2 other credited writers.
DevC yea usually I like some of his videos, but good lord I hated his video calling us idiots for not liking the game. He even says the pacing sucks, but he still tried to justify to dumbass actions of the characters we loved, and the ones we hated. I think the worst part of his review was trying to look at abbys fathers perspective. Like all the fireflies had to do was just wait till Ellie woke up to let her make her choice but they decided not to, and they were gonna kill Joel cause now he knows where their hideout is. They should’ve known Joel would’ve done anything to protect her which was more then enough to respect his wishes as much as her. Then the Doctor pulled a scalpel on Joel and got himself killed. So we shouldn’t try to sympathize with the fireflies cause they let fear and desperation for a cure cloud their judgement and that’s what got them killed. I don't know if you played it or not, but I highly recommend to play through Metro Exodus. The gameplay is actually fun and the story and atmosphere are great. You get a feeling of camaradery for your crew that I've rarely felt in a video game.
I don't think Manny is the only self-insert. I think Dina is the other self-insert. She's Jewish and LGBT. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if Duckman was LGBT given how much he shoves it into his games.

I'm no Trump supporter. And actually found this particular review rather bad. You can clearly tell the guy in this video is dripping with bigotry and that was a turn off and why I couldn't finish the video. But many reviewers are saying the game is bad and not for bigoted reasons like this dude. So many are decrying the plot. And from what I gathered from the plot, no way in hell I'm buying or wasting my time playing this game. The plot is a jumbled mess. And pacing is a repeated criticism. I couldn't care less about the preachy aspects of the game. That has become norm in most shows and I'm intelligent enough to look past that stuff. But when you disrespect one of the main characters from the first one...someome you took so much time to develop. All to posit a tired message that revenge is bad? Yeah I'll pass on that. And then you don't even get the gratification of getting revenge on Abbey? Yeah no. I saw plenty enough to know myself and I am not going to put myself through something that I know will piss me off. Has 0 to with my political leaning and more to do with i appreciate a well written story. LoU was that. Clearly, LoU2 is not.

I was saved by the status quo of the times and never saw it because everyone made it clear what the theme of the movie was. Nowadays, some years later, I can see myself accidentally watching it because the plot synopsis shared by everyone would be something like "beautiful cinematography' or 'triumph of spirit' rather than 'two cowboys banging each other'. Last time that happened someone told me to watch this movie with great acting about a kid growing up and it showing the various phases of his life etc.. Then I start watching it and realize the movie is actually about two young boys who grow up and realize they are gay for each other. No one in the critic world would save me the wasted time because they'd be too afraid of being called a bigot lmao.

We have to remember Naughty Dog had like a 70% employee turnover from the last game and it got so bad that they had to use people that worked in television. Bruce Straley quit or was pushed out and then Neil Druckmann pushed out Amy Hennig who is the amazing writer for so many top tier games and possibly did the writing or had influence on the flashback scenes that's why they were the best part of game. There are many that have had their ideas and work used with no credit. Neil replaced Amy with a writer that only wrote a couple episodes of Westworld. Remember Neil was just the Creative Director of the first game but Bruce Straley directed and Amy Hennig had influence (although no TLOU credit) as did a few others on the first game and Uncharted 1-3 but Now Neil had full control and "cancelled" anyone that disagreed with him or questioned his ideas. Destroyed what could have been amazing story.

They replaced him with completely empty characters to make it worse. Joel was the type of man I'd want with me in an apocalypse and was such a great father figure too. This video has aged like the finest Bordeaux. I never played this game because I hope Sony is destroyed by Godzilla (I have my reasons), but man is this some comedy gold.
Spoiler warning: I was so excited for this game, the trailers at E3 had me 100% hyped up for this games release. I even had a daily reminder that I was so and so amount of days till it was released. I also posted a countdown 10 days in advance for the game. I trusted this games dev's, Neil, and everyone who took part in making this game. I even preordered the Ellie collection and paid full price up front. I heard the leaks came out so I avoided the internet like the plague. To say I was excited for the game was a fucking understatement. When I finally got my hands on the game I played it with an open mind as Neil druckmann said to do. I completely finished the game but by the end of it, I felt like I was the one someone beat with a golf club, spat on me and ran away with all my money. I was beyond disappointed in the story for a game that's story driven. Not because of the reason you think. Who cares if Abby gets killed or lives to see another day, it's how the story felt in my opinion like a bad fanfiction. Like someone else who didn't have a grasp on the characters from the first game wrote the story. Lot of things that happened seemed so out of character (except for ellie being a lesbian. We knew that from the DLC and I'm happy they kept true to that.) I have multiple but here's an example: Some people say it's Joel trying to be a better person and turn a new leaf. Him becoming a softie because of Ellie, but I'm pretty sure in reality he would've been extremely cautious. He was always cautious even from the start of the first game. He wouldn't even help a family with a child for crying out loud and then in part 2 he suddenly trusts a gang of people they don't know in a post apocalyptic world he had to kill to survive for 20+ years. Really!?! Same with Tommy, in the first game he had his gun pointed at his brother and Ellie when they came up to the gate. Honestly they could've killed Joel from the very start of the second game I wouldn't have cared. I would've been sad of course, but at least make it believable. Not to mention the bait and switch bs from the trailer to make it seem like he has a bigger role in the game. The story felt so unrealistic, dragged out, and rushed. Even though I feel that way I still tell people to play the game for themselves so they have their own opinions on the game. I let my friends who want to give it a try borrow my copy as well. I definitely wont be playing it again though. Now the gameplay was fun I'll admit. I enjoyed the boss you fight while playing as abby called the Rat King. 10/10. I'm happy that after I finished the game I can go back to that boss fight and fight him again too. That was my highlight of the game. Beat it my first try on survival mode. So even though I can't return the game I can still fight that thing. The graphics were very well done. I found myself gawking at the clickers, Bloaters, rat king and the Shamblers and the fine detail. I'm an art geek who loves creepy shit. I watch horror movies in awe of certain details and artistically comment about how the creepy creatures look. That's just a strange quirk I have. The designers put more detail in this games overall appearance and its characters. I have the character models of the clickers, Bloaters, rat king, and Shamblers and I just fucking love them. I could literally talk for hours about each and every single detail that I love about the infected in this game. They're so cool. I'm a simple girl. I wish I could play a shooter game in first person against the infected from this game and pretend this one never happened. The positive parts don't outweigh the horrible story.

I think Ghosts of Tsushima will be free of progressive politics, I'm more worried if it can stand on its own against Sekiro and Nioh 1& 2. Hoping that's true for Ghost of Tsushima. Definitely liked the filter options that make the game look like a classic black and white Samurai film. Apparently, the game will be challenging too as both the player and enemies can kill each other rather quickly. Can already hear the same sites who trashed Spongebob Rehydrated, trashing Ghost of Tsushima for being too difficult. Kojima Productions Facebook page also apparently did a sick burn on a Naughty Dog fan boy.
@@Gruntvc I'll admit I haven't done much of a deep dive into indie games. I really like Binding of Isaac and Hat in Time but most of them haven't captured my attention. Ghosts of Tsushima being difficult is good, I hope it's not too much like a Souls game though. I still love From Software's games but a lot of the copycats aren't nearly as good.
Even if GoT turns out great I'm still mixed on buying the game from retail or second hand, with all the abuse of copyright claims, crap work conditions for the different Devs and their double ethics on nudity it's getting hard to support Sony as a costumer at this point. Tbh I honestly don't even care about the Ps5 at this point, why pay a fortune for a piece of hardware with basically zero good exclusives almost a year after release.

This game is garbage imo. I could have written a better story, drunk, and blindfolded. You know how you make it better? For one, don't kill Joel so damn early, make Abby actually likable, and make us care for her. That way, when she does kill Joel, there may be some conflict with the player. No, she will never be as cool as Joel, but at least the time spent with her would have helped a lot. They did it for sheer shock value, but gained nothing. They would have benefited a lot more if they killed Joel at the end of the game, and made a likable Abby.
In the beginning, Naughty Dog indicated that Colleen Fotsch was the "Body Double" for Abby. They may have meant inspiration for but take that how you will. Her face model is a former Contractor/Employee Jocelyn Mettler. Even in the case of Fotsch, she is not as bloated as Abby and that would be because, as you put it, women don't grow bodies like that unless they are quite seriously doped up.
Curtis Robison People who do forms of bodybuilding are often quite 'bloated" as you put it. They only shred down and lose the body fat before a competition to show off the muscle definition. Abby's body is built for function, not form. The fact is her body double was a woman is all you need to know.

The part people forget when they compare Elie to Abby is Abby is enjoying The killing and Ellie is Driven by Revenge , example Ellie regrets killing a pregnant woman as Abby is Excited at the part of killing a pregnant woman when Ellie tell's her Dina's pregnant, imo Abby is a Psycho and impossible to identify with or like even if you did forgive her for Joel's death
Not to justify the action itself, as it was objectively wrong...but Abby didn't know the circumstance of Mel's death, just that her pregnant friend was murdered. In a blind rage she was ready to exact the same pain on the party responsible. Wasn't excitement, it was vengeance.

naughty dog doesn't understand they are running a business, and they have killed off their headline 'product' Joel, and then the consumer is left with the secondary 'product' which is not as good, Ellie, Although she may do, But-- Then the business tries to force on the consumer a new 'product' Abby. Without any advertisement or promotion, the business expects the consumer to 'buy' this new product. The consumer is not happy with this change. The consumer will be outraged because they want their favourite 'product' back. The consumer vows to never shop at that business again and will tell their friends to never shop at that business again. And basically that is how it all works. It shouldn't be about Neil's personal art project, but it should be about money and business. They killed off their franchise by killing their headline character.

This vid is how I found your channel I haven’t been on yt for a while for a few reasons, but if your channel does get deleted I really do think you should continue not reviewing modern games but instead start only streaming on rumble or odyssey if your channel kicks the bucket. You have a dedicated audience who will follow you there, you can make a new streaming channel/ podcast successful and you can still be an influence. The flashback scenes brought back Ellie’s personality which I really liked. I hated the depressing undertone of how Joel’s death destroyed her emotionally. She isn’t the same character- emotion being one of her losses on top of Dina, Joel, her son she was raising, her home. And she ended up alone. I don’t know how much more depressing this game could’ve gotten.
Valkyrie Serpents Same with Dina. At the start of the game she's a fun joking around person and a risk taker. By the end she's not. She really calmed down. The glimpse of light are two clues to the possibility of a happier ending are Ellie is wearing Dina's bracelet again at the farm and the scene of the boat at the end is the island where the fireflies are*. (*depending on how you feel about Abby and Lev)
As soon as Ellie started writing shit down on her map in game my first thought was “well that tactically retarded, everyone knows you don’t right names or important info on maps...” and my second thought was “this map with everything written on it is going to get found somewhere and come back to screw us...”
The recurring theme over and over with this game is MISERY. Seems like many reviewers and the vast majority of players all say the same thing. And that thing is MISERY. One commenter called it a "misery simulator". I'm still in the game but have put it down for the better part of the last 3 days, and am hoping I can finish it at some point, if for nothing else, to finish it. Not sure I will be able to though. This game is a mental and emotional slog.
I actually decided to uninstall it after playing as Abby for a few hours. I couldn't do it any more a game shouldn't make you feel depressed. Big disappointment.

I basically had this idea in my head that the last of us will end with the survivors (i.e the humans we've come to love in this game) factually be the last to make it through the outbreak. You know...to be the last of us... probably along with other people too. I knew Joel was living on borrowed time, but ye, for some reason, naughty dog decided to give this game a dark, bleak, miserable and unwholesome end, which is completely different than any other game they've made before. The whole game you hear radio chatter of WLF freaking out over this one trespasser who taking out whole squads. We get to see first hand how badass he is when he almost takes down abby. Actually screw ellie she aint got shit on Tommy. Tommy should have been the main character instead. I was mad they even managed to ruin him in the end. He is now a beaten up lost soul whose wife left him (for what? wanting justicew for his brother?) and now he just nags ellie to remind her of her promise. What the fuck naughty dog?

The game should've had a crew of Fire Flies that were hunting Joel maybe led by Marlene's brother and attack the camp in Wyoming and kill Dina and Jesse. Then Joel and Ellie go after them, halfway through they can ambush Joel and kill him, while he's dying he can admit to Ellie why they came after him. Then after Ellie is upset by this, but she still wants to avenge Joel, so she and Tommy go to Seattle to find the Fireflies that have teamed up with the Wolves. Maybe the Seraphim's can be a group they run into on the way there to kill every single one of the Wolves and Fireflies. Also there would be no Abby whatsoever. The character is fucking stupid and just unrealistic!

The game is supposedly about the cycle of revenge. Showing Nora's death could (in theory) satiate the player's rage and thirst for revenge, sinking them deeper into Ellie's shoes and making her final decision to spare Abby more impactful.

Simple, they left the company. Bruce Straley was game director of the first game and kept everything even kilter with the story in relations to the game design. At the time, Amy Henning and Naughty Dog had a writers room, that was able to go through and vet the scripts before it went into production. That's why the first one ended up being a classic. It took a village to make that game into a reality. TLOU2 is solely Druckmann's baby with a bunch of yes people around him within the Narrative Lead role and 2 other credited writers.

DevC yea usually I like some of his videos, but good lord I hated his video calling us idiots for not liking the game. He even says the pacing sucks, but he still tried to justify to dumbass actions of the characters we loved, and the ones we hated. I think the worst part of his review was trying to look at abbys fathers perspective. Like all the fireflies had to do was just wait till Ellie woke up to let her make her choice but they decided not to, and they were gonna kill Joel cause now he knows where their hideout is. They should’ve known Joel would’ve done anything to protect her which was more then enough to respect his wishes as much as her.
Then the Doctor pulled a scalpel on Joel and got himself killed.
So we shouldn’t try to sympathize with the fireflies cause they let fear and desperation for a cure cloud their judgement and that’s what got them killed. But did cousmount ever talk about that, he’ll no and he called us idiots for thinking otherwise.

And from what I gathered from the plot, no way in hell I'm buying or wasting my time playing this game. The plot is a jumbled mess. And pacing is a repeated criticism. I was saved by the status quo of the times and never saw it because everyone made it clear what the theme of the movie was. Nowadays, some years later, I can see myself accidentally watching it because the plot synopsis shared by everyone would be something like "beautiful cinematography' or 'triumph of spirit' rather than 'two cowboys banging each other'. Last time that happened someone told me to watch this movie with great acting about a kid growing up and it showing the various phases of his life etc.. Then I start watching it and realize the movie is actually about two young boys who grow up and realize they are gay for each other. We have to remember Naughty Dog had like a 70% employee turnover from the last game and it got so bad that they had to use people that worked in television. Bruce Straley quit or was pushed out and then Neil Druckmann pushed out Amy Hennig who is the amazing writer for so many top tier games and possibly did the writing or had influence on the flashback scenes that's why they were the best part of game. There are many that have had their ideas and work used with no credit. Neil replaced Amy with a writer that only wrote a couple episodes of Westworld. Remember Neil was just the Creative Director of the first game but Bruce Straley directed and Amy Hennig had influence (although no TLOU credit) as did a few others on the first game and Uncharted 1-3 but Now Neil had full control and "cancelled" anyone that disagreed with him or questioned his ideas. Destroyed what could have been amazing story.

Very funny rant! I've completed this and the first game and can honestly say I'm so disappointed. I'm a female gamer and I LOVED Joel's character. They replaced him with completely empty characters to make it worse. Joel was the type of man I'd want with me in an apocalypse and was such a great father figure too. I'm very sad we'll never see him (and the amazing dynamic he had with Ellie before) ever again :(

Spoiler warning: I was so excited for this game, the trailers at E3 had me 100% hyped up for this games release. I even had a daily reminder that I was so and so amount of days till it was released. I also posted a countdown 10 days in advance for the game. I trusted this games dev's, Neil, and everyone who took part in making this game. I even preordered the Ellie collection and paid full price up front. I heard the leaks came out so I avoided the internet like the plague. To say I was excited for the game was a fucking understatement. When I finally got my hands on the game I played it with an open mind as Neil druckmann said to do. I completely finished the game but by the end of it, I felt like I was the one someone beat with a golf club, spat on me and ran away with all my money. I was beyond disappointed in the story for a game that's story driven. Not because of the reason you think. Who cares if Abby gets killed or lives to see another day, it's how the story felt in my opinion like a bad fanfiction. Like someone else who didn't have a grasp on the characters from the first game wrote the story. Lot of things that happened seemed so out of character (except for ellie being a lesbian. We knew that from the DLC and I'm happy they kept true to that.) I have multiple but here's an example: Some people say it's Joel trying to be a better person and turn a new leaf. Him becoming a softie because of Ellie, but I'm pretty sure in reality he would've been extremely cautious. He was always cautious even from the start of the first game. He wouldn't even help a family with a child for crying out loud and then in part 2 he suddenly trusts a gang of people they don't know in a post apocalyptic world he had to kill to survive for 20+ years. Really!?! Same with Tommy, in the first game he had his gun pointed at his brother and Ellie when they came up to the gate. Honestly they could've killed Joel from the very start of the second game I wouldn't have cared. I would've been sad of course, but at least make it believable. Not to mention the bait and switch bs from the trailer to make it seem like he has a bigger role in the game. The story felt so unrealistic, dragged out, and rushed. Even though I feel that way I still tell people to play the game for themselves so they have their own opinions on the game. I let my friends who want to give it a try borrow my copy as well. I definitely wont be playing it again though.
Now the gameplay was fun I'll admit. I enjoyed the boss you fight while playing as abby called the Rat King. 10/10. I'm happy that after I finished the game I can go back to that boss fight and fight him again too. That was my highlight of the game. Beat it my first try on survival mode. So even though I can't return the game I can still fight that thing.
The graphics were very well done. I found myself gawking at the clickers, Bloaters, rat king and the Shamblers and the fine detail. I'm an art geek who loves creepy shit. I watch horror movies in awe of certain details and artistically comment about how the creepy creatures look. That's just a strange quirk I have. The designers put more detail in this games overall appearance and its characters. I have the character models of the clickers, Bloaters, rat king, and Shamblers and I just fucking love them. I could literally talk for hours about each and every single detail that I love about the infected in this game. They're so cool. I'm a simple girl. I wish I could play a shooter game in first person against the infected from this game and pretend this one never happened. The positive parts don't outweigh the horrible story.

Ghosts of Tsushima being difficult is good, I hope it's not too much like a Souls game though. I still love From Software's games but a lot of the copycats aren't nearly as good.
Even if GoT turns out great I'm still mixed on buying the game from retail or second hand, with all the abuse of copyright claims, crap work conditions for the different Devs and their double ethics on nudity it's getting hard to support Sony as a costumer at this point.

This game is garbage imo. I could have written a better story, drunk, and blindfolded. You know how you make it better? For one, don't kill Joel so damn early, make Abby actually likable, and make us care for her. That way, when she does kill Joel, there may be some conflict with the player. No, she will never be as cool as Joel, but at least the time spent with her would have helped a lot. They did it for sheer shock value, but gained nothing. They would have benefited a lot more if they killed Joel at the end of the game, and made a likable Abby.
In the beginning, Naughty Dog indicated that Colleen Fotsch was the "Body Double" for Abby. They may have meant inspiration for but take that how you will. Her face model is a former Contractor/Employee Jocelyn Mettler. Even in the case of Fotsch, she is not as bloated as Abby and that would be because, as you put it, women don't grow bodies like that unless they are quite seriously doped up.
Curtis Robison People who do forms of bodybuilding are often quite 'bloated" as you put it. They only shred down and lose the body fat before a competition to show off the muscle definition. Abby's body is built for function, not form. The fact is her body double was a woman is all you need to know.

Without any advertisement or promotion, the business expects the consumer to 'buy' this new product. The consumer is not happy with this change. The consumer will be outraged because they want their favourite 'product' back. The consumer vows to never shop at that business again and will tell their friends to never shop at that business again. And basically that is how it all works. It shouldn't be about Neil's personal art project, but it should be about money and business. They killed off their franchise by killing their headline character.

lukinko 74 its not a question of wether all games should or shouldnt be “a product.” the fact of the matter is, a game of this magnitude has to meet other goals aside from artistic merit. at this level of notoriety, with all of the millions of dollars invested into it, all of the people who spent money making the game werent doing it for giggles. they were doing it to make a profit. so this particular game NEEDS to see some return on investment. it was treated like a product from the beginning.

This vid is how I found your channel I haven’t been on yt for a while for a few reasons, but if your channel does get deleted I really do think you should continue not reviewing modern games but instead start only streaming on rumble or odyssey if your channel kicks the bucket. You have a dedicated audience who will follow you there, you can make a new streaming channel/ podcast successful and you can still be an influence. Just don’t completely give up on an internet career if RUclips is no longer an option. You can make a difference in more ways than one

The flashback scenes brought back Ellie’s personality which I really liked. I hated the depressing undertone of how Joel’s death destroyed her emotionally. She isn’t the same character- emotion being one of her losses on top of Dina, Joel, her son she was raising, her home. And she ended up alone. I don’t know how much more depressing this game could’ve gotten.
Even before his death, she's super flat and unlikeable and a bitch to everyone
Valkyrie Serpents Same with Dina. At the start of the game she's a fun joking around person and a risk taker. By the end she's not. She really calmed down. The glimpse of light are two clues to the possibility of a happier ending are Ellie is wearing Dina's bracelet again at the farm and the scene of the boat at the end is the island where the fireflies are*. (*depending on how you feel about Abby and Lev)

The recurring theme over and over with this game is MISERY. Seems like many reviewers and the vast majority of players all say the same thing. And that thing is MISERY. One commenter called it a "misery simulator".
I'm still in the game but have put it down for the better part of the last 3 days, and am hoping I can finish it at some point, if for nothing else, to finish it. Not sure I will be able to though. This game is a mental and emotional slog.

I actually decided to uninstall it after playing as Abby for a few hours. I couldn't do it any more a game shouldn't make you feel depressed. Big disappointment.

I basically had this idea in my head that the last of us will end with the survivors (i.e the humans we've come to love in this game) factually be the last to make it through the outbreak. You know...to be the last of us... probably along with other people too. I knew Joel was living on borrowed time, but ye, for some reason, naughty dog decided to give this game a dark, bleak, miserable and unwholesome end, which is completely different than any other game they've made before. Is this because we becoming darker? Do they want to prove a point with this game? I have no idea.
And then the overarching theme... I don't really understand what revenge is doing in a post-apocalyptic world where people are fighting for survival. Like, it makes sense in a normal world, but this just doesn't add up to me. Whatever I guess... 🤷♂️🤦♂️

There’s one mistake you made and that’s that there are fireflies and they really did contact Abby because in the new main menu it shows the Catalina Casino, hinting that her and lev made it to the fireflies.
