If a country starts becoming inhospitable, it is always the most well-educated and talented workers who move to other countries who have their act together. The whole system is broke, 2 friends both 70 and living in council flats almost next door, one has small private pension the other nothing the one with pension of £5000 a year so £16000 altogether pays full rent and community charge and tax so he's left with about £10,000. The other with no private pension gets every thing paid and free dentist and the heating allowance so he's left with about £11500. Why bother.
The thing is until September this year I was a working person for 44 years with 18 months off for maternity leave. I have a pension and savings that I saved bloody hard for to help me support myself financially for the six years I will have to wait for my state pension. This prime minister and his side kick Reeves are beyond disgusting! I’m furious that they consider people like me as targets. They will find out at the next election what we think of them. Previous Goverments have encouraged us to save for our old age via pensions and savings, such as ISAs. Those of us who did that, now look like being clobbered for being responsible.

I do trade and invest in the markets both UK and overseas. The site I trade through has a forum, its the most positive forum I've been on made up from people from every section of society. It feels like Starmer is saying working people are too thick to invest. That's so not true.
