Most of my comments on you tube anglers vlogs are critical because i can never understand the way in which they make fishing so complicated with all these different methods and tackle to suggest that they are the ultimate ways to catch fish and when you walk into these tackle shops here in the UK its frightening of the array of baits, floats, hooks, rods etc, etc! I want to congratulate you on proving all these vloggers wrong and me right. How many times do we turn up at a water and we cant decide what we are going to do?? Our heads get messed up and we buy these things! You have proved otherwise in your videos that we dont need them, one rig can do all and your bait can be obtained from a supermarket. PS Den dont forget those sultanas soaked in milk and curry paste!! BRAVO 👏
What you have done Den is exemplary for your new home country and fellow anglers within and outside of your territory with outstanding watercraft from someone who cannot have what we have and cope with it all and the confusion and prices here in the Uk. Keep it simple. Robert 👍
@@ralfmuentnich Good luck Ralf. I hope it goes well for you. I only get to fish a competition once every two months these days, so I have to make the most of them.
Actually, I'm fine. I am now 67 years old. Already retired for 2 years. In 2016 I had a posterior wall heart attack and in 2017 I had a bilateral pulmonary embolism. 2018 Mild stroke. But everything is fine again. I don't fish in every competition either. It's also too strenuous and financially expensive for me. You have to drive a lot and fuel costs €1.80 a liter here. In Holland over €2.
@@ralfmuentnich I didn't know you had such medical conditions Ralf, but I'm pleased to hear you are fine now. For me, I'm lucky to be healthy so far, but matches over here are few and far between. I remember back in England, I used to fishing 3 matches per week.
High Den👍🇬🇧 Paste fishing is for more heavily fished waters where lots of pellets are fed . Heavily fished waters in the Uk the carp got wise to picking up hard pellets and expanders and would only feed on the really soft pellets/ mush. The pellets brake down on the bottom and the carp gill feed on them sucking and blowing which is why you get sail away bites on paste , strike and there’s nothing there, the fish have already blown the hook. Not an easy bait to master.
Hi Shaun. Yes, I used to catch lots of fish on paste on commercials. I just wanted to see what the reaction would be in a natural water out of curiosity.😁👍
Thanks Ovidiu. That's what I was using for feeding mate. Unfortunately, when I prepare them with the Turmeric, it makes them break up too easily to put on the hook though. Thanks also for your contribution. it is much appreciated.
I don't really fish it often enough for the fish to become educated Stan. With the amount of bait I put in, the vast majority of fish will never see it mate.
Hi Den I use meat and cheese pastes and had issues with foul hooking. Then I tried paste on a hair rig sometimes with a very small polystyrene bead to try to create neutral buoyancy. I'd mould the paste around the bead. It seemed to improve the foul hooking.

At least you’re catching, another match on the Wharfe in Yorkshire on Sunday where most of us blank, happy days, fishing not catching 😊
Yep. I don't miss those days Andrew.😁😁👍👍

Another good watch Den , don't think i ever see you lifting and dropping the rig on Stillwaters , is it better out there to nail it down .
Thanks mate. I do lift and drop from time to time, but you're right, I don't think I put it on camera much.
@@FishingwithDen It's deadly here , especially in the cooler months when they're not really having it .
Keep the fantastic content coming . 👍
Looking forward to you trying the small creek
Me too mate. I just hope its not a maximum of 1ft deep like some of the other creeks in the area.
When I lived in Oz, (South oz) I used to catch yabbies in the creeks.@@FishingwithDen
@@stanwilson8089 I don't see many of them where I fish Stan, but I do fish with some of the lads from South Australia mate.
Den, if you can get it in oz. Try Zipp elastic, same as matrix slik but half the price
Great vid once more. It does seem that the gritters out there all want to do some sort of damage to you?
Thanks Phill. Everything out here can do you a damage mate.🤣🤣🤣🤣
Great fishing Den ! Have you tried with chicken feed pellets?

I don't really fish it often enough for the fish to become educated Stan. With the amount of bait I put in, the vast majority of fish will never see it mate.
Hi Den
I couldn't make it out with my old eyes, did you use the paste around the hook or around the hair rig?
Pete
Hi Pete. The paste was around the hook. Only the pellet was banded mate.
Thanks Den
