"To be able to observe the surface of things that than reveal an unexpected depth. And on this surface to only leave the slightest mark. A gentle stroke; a paradoxical token of our deep knowledge and profound love. It's here that we see the poetry of the odyssey in these blank walls. From the oceans of stone to the sea Ulysses sailed the lesson remains the same - patience, gratuity, and fidelity to what we love. The elegant necessity to waste our time, and to some extent, lose ourselves."
    Namaste. (bows head)

Probably one of the best climb mini-docs I've seen! But what makes it special is the narrative...poetry indeed! Well done!

Thank you Stéphanie for a poetic approach to rock climbing and thank you Bertrand Delapierre for this superb film. Bavella is a paradise for multi-pitch climbers of all levels on slabs, cracks and tafoni …
You can find the best routes in the massif of Bavella in the guidebook Bavella Corsica edited by Omegaroc

This video was wonderful as were the thoughts expressed therein.
I've come to the conclusion, which I reserve the right to change, that it is us that changes as the rock and the route remains static. That is why it's so exhilarating to revisit some routes I tried 5-10 years ago. Now I look at them differently. My strengths of physique, dexterity and reading the route have changed. It's like a fixed measures of length in the town square cut in stone for merchants and buyers. The routes await for me to help me realise how I have changed.

The beauty of this production may encourage some climbers to rethink their criticisms for slab :) And for those who share this love, it'll be a wonderful meditation on the exciting dance!

It must be the most boring climbing movie I have ever watched. Still think that she is a superb climber but..... Just listening to her got me almost depressed, its only climbing not some high, spiritual life experience. If you climb, you start at the bottom of the crack and finish at the top (most of the time) Thats it.

It can be harder to appreciate more poetic forms of expression when you are used to loud, flashy, and obvious.
