This was a nice track. I am familiar with SeeYouSpaceCowboy but I haven't listened to too much of their stuff. I thought this was a good song. It's a nice mix of melody and heaviness and the vocals were pretty good.
Those spicy contrasting elements thar make it dynamic as you mentioned are really what puts it over the top for me. Being that it's a concept album, makes sense that they would wanna diversify the lil journey. Plus you've got Courtney, like....ya gotta go all out 😄
Oh and Courtney was in what would be considered the bridge. When things slowed down with the piano again. She's the cleans there and the lower harshes after that. It's super easy to spot once you look for it.

Yup.... I listened to it again and I definitely hear her there. No idea why I didn't pick that up on the first time through though
For me SYSC is at their most effective when they don't dally too much in the clean/typical emo conventions...AND...lean into the hard stuff.
I liked their grindy stuff but this is just pure cringe, jesus christ.
