  • Everyone says you have to replace the entire timing cover which is a long job. this cuts your time down to a fraction. simple process. Will need a bearing puller/press, large sockets to fit around bearings and press, And a hammer. Be careful!

    Hi ! You have the video of when you remove the bearing from the timing cover of the ranger

    Nice to see it really can be done. So far we have the old bearing out. Where did you get the bearing? From another cover?

    • @MatthewB2000
      @MatthewB2000  3 года назад

      Yes, we did. I'm sure you can buy another bearing though

      @@MatthewB2000 Could not find one, so we got it from a new cover. The repair worked out very well.

      You can't find another bearing from any parts outlet. I started checking when I saw this. I can get a replacement/new cover though.

      @@chuckhuckle I had to pull the bearing from the new cover to install in the old cover. Have a nice shiny cover for the man cave now.

      I replaced the entire cover not a big deal at all. Getting the fan pulley off I found to be nearly impossible as it's pressed on. My cheap Chinese made 3 armed puller was incapable, even with heat, of pulling pulley off spindle.

    How did you remove the pulley?

    Good job! Do you remember bearings dimensions? I need it on 2019 year model ranger.

    I was searching for videos on how to fix a wobbly fan and found this. I don't want to remove that timing cover/housing thing. I think I will try this. Is it still working? Any tips to getting the old one out? Just take out the snap ring and use a bearing puller?

      Yeah, we were going to replace the entire cover and ended up buying the new cover and pulled the new bearing from the old cover. Pull it with a bearing puller. We used a large socket to tap it into the old cover

    Where do I get the replacement? I'm from Mexico

      You must buy entire timing cover $130 or junk yard. You need high quality tools to get rotten pulley off and back on.

    Pull the bearing out with a bearing puller the way you would any other bearing
