- Hey guys here is a quick video of some of my favorite pick ups and harder to find VHS's over the past years. I hope you enjoy and please feel free to comment and let me know some of your storys finding Disney movies
There are just many fun factors in collecting Disney VHS tapes, whether it's different variations of the films, previews at the beginning, print date codes on the lid, or copies with different labels (horizontal ink/white sticker). Some day I'd like to collect all the _Favorite Stories_ releases of featurettes, since I remember seeing the advertisements for them in some tapes as a kid.
I have been collecting Disney VHS video cassettes since 2009 and I have never come across a Black Clamshell Black diamond VHS until last year !
Never knew some of those were Disney movies.
Disney vhs collecting is very fun I only have 6 so far.

I understand that these tapes are rare but I have a VCR and I don't use VHS tapes that often. I use DVDs and blu-rays.
Have you ever found a Peter Pan with a gold label on the tape? I have one with just a gold label, but I dident get the case so I don’t know what it is. It has a gold label and says Peter Pan Gold and some other stuff, but nothing about Disney.
I too collect Disney vhs and vhs collecting all around is amazing. I collect all forms of media and video games and toys and all kinds of things and you have a nice collection keep. dishing out wonderful collections, it's the best. Also check dollar tree and thrift stores for really good movie deals.

Some of these guys say Disney movies aren't worth that much there was a lot of them maid the question is how many are in the garbage answer most of them and half of the remainders are beat up cuz kids would destroy these clamshells

I own Fantasia VHS (1991, in black clam shell), Cinderella (1995), black diamond Lady and the Tramp and Toy Story (1996)

Some Disney Christmas tapes are very rare and the Black Diamond Sleeping Beauty tapes are hard to find and even the really older tapes. That's why I am sticking to DVDs and blu-rays for now on.
I have loved fat reptiles ever since I first saw Pete's Dragon as a young child. That was before The Princess and the Frog came out, which features a similar character named Louis the Alligator.

Hey thanks for the comments. Yes i have 7 beta limited gold edition and 2 vhs limited gold editions. One is still sealed! They are very hard to come by.
Do you recommend buying multiple copies of a film?
This is so cool! You might be a few years older than me b/c I never had the white clamshells or the black ones. I’ll keep my eyes out for them though.
I have a huge collection of Disney , starwars , almost any movie you could think of . My grand mother kept them all lol. Is the Kiki movie worth money? I'd like to show you what so I have.
You said you're from PA not sure where . . I like the Eagles hat!! . . I used to own a Video store in Collegeville, PA outside of Philly from 1984 - 1989 . . I had all of the White Clam Shell Disney . . It's sickening knowing that I gave a lot of them away when I sold my store.

Jose Rodriguez worth nothing, don't believe what you've been told, they've all gone to DVD now, the vhs tapes are worth nothing, not even 50c :)

the point of the video is to give information on your finds and to inspire others to show, talk, and make videos of their finds and of other finds that may be harder to come across. I didnt miss the point of the video. Instead i made a suggestion which may have lead u to believe i missed the point. in the beginning u state that u want us to let u know our favorites or harder to find ones. so all i did with the statement that i wrote to u was let u know that u didnt have those which are my favorite.
So u dont have any sword in the stone black case nor any dumbo black case. I also didnt see any preview nor demo black diamond tapes. Nor did i see any odd rare tapes. U did have the black robin hood and black pinocchio which is good. But u should watch my video of actually valuable rare disney.

You won't even get 50c for them, I've got 11 tapes selling for $5.00, still can't sell them, the thrift stores won't lay a finger on them, you might get $2.00 for the DVDs, if you're lucky, just look on eBay, the high priced tapes never sell :)

Philip Marlow, no it's not, I've got that tape & 10 others & they're not worth a cent, do your research, they never sell on eBay, thrift stores won't even take them, pawn shops won't buy them either, you've been fooled, they're all on DVD now for about $5.00, no one wants the vhs tapes, I can't sell mine, Cheers.

There are SO many copies, they're not worth a cent, this man has got all of you fooled, no wonder he found them thrown out :)
