How about noting how much pressure this position puts on the inner knee of the internally rotated leg??!! Knee is the week link in the internal rotation, so tight hips throw all the stress into the inner knee. My is totally destroyed as a result of trying to force myself upright. Stupid movement for tight hips, unless you are trying to screw up your knee
Hey there! That's a valid point, but this is all relative. We wouldn't advocate for a shin box or 90/90 position for someone with serious hip internal rotation issues; we would do bear sit position work, or supine (lying face up) work. If you need help with any of this at all, please let us know. We're happy to help!
I did these for about five months trying gain some hip mobility, all it did was put me in constant pain. I still can't sit straight up when in the position
Great content. I have been doing this for a few years and actually watch tv in this position, switching sides every 5 mins or so. Love it

What are considered serious hip internal rotation issues?
