Toraja, Indonesia ➖ I'm in a city known for its interesting beliefs and rituals regarding death, Toraja. I'm going to be exploring this fascinating city and diving deep into the local culture, experiences and what is involved in getting loved ones to heaven.
I'll be seeing the buffalo farm where the animals are sold up to $20,000 to be sacrificed. I visit a rich family who is preparing for their father's ceremony. I climb through caves with skulls, corpses and coffins in them. And lastly, I visit a village family that is still living with their deceased grandfather!

Hi Luke. I know that there are lots of buffaloes in the Northern Territory, and I was told that they were brought to Australia hundreds of years ago by trepang divers from Makassar. Nowadays, these buffaloes are killed to control their population. I wonder if Australia can export them to Toraja. It would be better than just killing them for that purpose or for fun. What do you think? 😄😇
