    I don't skate anymore, at 58 I just don't think that's wise. But I'd enjoy it if I could do it safely! However when I was young and skating every day, in jr. high and high school, every day two or three hours of skating on flat land, I built HUGE thighs and massive strength. Without ANY other exercises. I could EASILY leg press a thousand pounds and bounce 500 pounds off my toes like it was a joke. My thighs were busting the seams of my jeans. Skateboarding on flat land is INCREDIBLE leg exercise.

    Hey man love the channel because ive been dealing with serious muscle imbalances because of skateboarding my whole life, while barley skating switch.
    I am just wondering when you do your videos what stance you skate in? I ask because it makes it easier for me to see what would be better for one side rather than another. My neck to my feet work totally different on my left and right side it’s very frustrating.
    Again, just wondering what stance you skateboard in as it would help me navigate your channel better.

      all the exercises I give you you are going to want to do for both side's regardless of where the pain is mate so that doesn't really matter 👊🏼

    Can you please post full-length follow-along strength training videos (full sets of reps) ? I am not able to follow a lot of your exercises because of how quick the explanations are even though they seem very valuable.

    What are your thoughts on me doing this 3 times a week, general strength training 2 times a week, and actual skateboarding 2 times a week for someone who is new getting into skateboarding???

    • @skateboardstrength9834
      @skateboardstrength9834  Месяц назад

      Id say it's a little excessive. If you got a good quality strength training program it should incorporate a lot of this in there as well. Id be more looking at 2 strength sessions a week, 1 specific foot calf and ankle day, 2 skate sessions as a starting point.

    Getting back after tibia, fibula and ankle fracture. I need all the support and strength I can get more so than non injury people. Do you recommend knee, anke support compression and orthotic insoles with metatarsal pads and arch support in flat skate shoes? I do strength training too.

  • @wayanardika6267
    @wayanardika6267 11 месяцев назад

    i wear superfeet insoles in my shoes which provide support in my arch. It is possible that because of this, my feet can't fully collapse the arch when my ankle rolls forwards?
    Thanks for the video as well, its well interesting to know how our ankle works and how to make it stronger

    • @skateboardstrength9834
      @skateboardstrength9834  6 месяцев назад

      I am not familiar with those supports but you do want to make sure you get a support that does allow some give and is not completely rigid
