Windows 11 installed with a local account, is absolutely fantastic. Rufus is superb, as it gives you the option to bypass creating a Microsoft account. 😍

Can I also use that local account option check for win10 iso? In rufus? It would safe a lot of hassle unconnecting our machines during install
@@Blackadder75 It might with the newest win 10 but creating a local account with win 10 is actually really easy (or it was, I haven't used this in 6 months but it worked when I tried it and used the method for years with win 10), you can go into the sign into Microsoft account in the install process and just enter any BS email address and password, no account will be detected Microsoft's side and it will then go straight to the create local account. This is one of the simplest ways in win 10 most people do not know about. This works as long as the email/username does not exist at Microsoft, if does it will then ask again for the password.
Effortless, the whole precedure was simple. Step by step till the end, thank you very much!

Nice one Brian I used Rufus when I installed/upgraded my old Ivy Bridge machine using a downloaded ISO - what I like about this video is that one can do it through a Rufus app instead. One thing is if the machine has no OS on it or one uses a new drive what can be done re activation?

Recently Rufus takes ages to create bootable stick and I don't like how Etcher creates a two level partitions as well. I picked my final choice which is Ventoy where I can store multiple Linux, Windows ISO's stored at exFAT and readily use, switch OS distribution without formatting and creating stick for every OS's
There are plenty of "Windows 11" ex-corporate PCs on eBay running on unsupported hardware. I guess that they were set up using this method and then the flash drive cloned to a hard drive or SSD.
Correct me if i'm wrong please..so you use rufus to download windows 11 and install windows 11 on the usb drive and then you can use the usb to install windows 11 on any hard drive?

As of right now 01/10/2022 yes, unsupported hardware is receiving windows updates

Yesterday I watched a great video that was titled "10 Reasons Not to Upgrade to Windows 11" and I agreed with every one of them, particularly the blooming context menu. So, why am I putting windows 11 on a spare laptop that doesn't support it? Cheers Brian. :)

Will it cause any harm skipping requirements for TPM etc if the PC does support it? As I'm going to be installing windows for nephew tomorrow and I'm just clicking skip requirements so I dont get there and find out it doesnt support it so have to go back.
Good Afternoon Everyone, Sicne this video has come out there have been some changes to Rufus that may help you when creating this new Drive. If you get an error message that the Flashdrive doesnt have enough space when we can clearly see it does, its best to format the hard drive. Right clicl on the Flashdrive on your computer and click Format. This will delete all content on your flashdrive so please be sure to save your data. When you Format it, change the Default to NTFS. this will help with the download.

Did not allow Local Account on set up ? Everything worked as you demonstrated but i must have slipped up & did the microsoft account . Cancelled the instal . Will redo , later .Thanks for this method.Without activation you have limited options but it works .

I believe you can also use this method to do an inplace upgrade from the desktop rather than just a clean install from boot??

Thank you. I have a question about the windows11 21H1 upgrade 22H2 version .it must uninstall the 21H1 version no upgrade{cleaning install} because I want to keep my data and app. Have you any good ideas?
I saw a YT video from another person on how to do just that and do a Win 11 21H1 to 22H2 as an upgrade.

what happens if i remove the TPM control from rufus on a TPM compatible pc? can i run into problems with future updates?
Even if you don't remove TPM you can run into problems with future updates so the answer to any question like this will always be "yes". The real question is something more along the lines of "will it take more than an hour for me to get my computer working again after some future update". The answer to that is also almost certainly "yes". If microsoft thinks you must do something, eventually they will patch out all the workarounds.
Do you have to use Rufus for a basic Windows 11 creation tool download using a flash drive?
I watched your video July 1,2022 using Rufus and have found that not all versions of Rufus have the feature you need to accomplish the install, do you know why.

thats very nice, i follow your videos a lot, but we use venoy to install different windows and linux iso's, so please can you help us to convert this generated bootable usb back to iso fomat so that we can use it easily, without the worry of virus corrupting our usb drives

I couldn't install with either MBR or GPT for some reason using Rufus.
is it just me? i can't download the windows installation media or the iso?? i think because my location is off. how do i turn it on?
Mine did everything except the Windows User Experience bit at the end before configuring the USB device.

t's cool that Rufus now does the windows 11 requirements bypass natively, but it's surprising to see Brian promoting this as I seem to recall him counselling people NOT to put w11 on non supported hardware.
That is correct Jay, its called a tutorial and I show how to do things whether I like it or not, its how we learn. Example: A chief might not like a dish, it does not mean he wont cook it for customers, where is the sense in that? hope this helps you understand.
3.21 is the latest version and it doesn't ask the questions on 'windows user experience' - the very thing we need it to do... So clicking on Start now just jumps to formatting the drive and has no options to remove any requirements.... Very poor - useless in fact. Just tried v3.20 and it doesn't ask for those options either... I'd better try another method
My windows tablet needs 32 bit version, windows 11 got no version for 32 bit, only 64 bit..
so, your method is not working for ANY pc because windows 11 is 64 bit only.

Then on this video, you're teaching how to CREATE Windows 11 Installation Media.
What for?
You talked a lot of negative things about Windows 11, but you're using it anyway.
Isn't this a little like "how to make a flame thrower to light any PC on fire"? Windows 11 is not ready for prime time and given the rumors that Microsoft will soon release Windows 12, I suspect it never will be. People should wait and continue to use Win-10 until they can see that Win-12 is ready for prime time. With microsoft, the "every 2nd version is bad" rule does seem to be alive and well.
