The pull off , hilarious what a engineering job these guys/girls did and driving them.. great show.. thanks.. we went to one at quamabatook in Australia.. plum crazy had 4 blown big block chevy engines.. ill always remember that..the wound up john deer one easy..
I remember watching these in the early and mid 80's with my father at Santa Fe Speedway off Rt 83 and I55 in IL. The Banter Bros had many different 7 engine setups, all big block Chevys. Those were his favorites. The sound of all those engines running wide open brings back memories and gives me goosebumps!!!
I knew nothing about this stuff when I was a kid but I used to watch it on ESPN. Now looking back I absolutely love it! These older machines they built were like Frankensteins. So f’n cool.
Oh this brings back memories of Saturday or Sunday mornings. It could be anything from monster trucks and swamp buggies, to moto cross and trophy trucks. You never knew what you could get. I always hoped for this or swamp buggies... never disappointing tho.
I have seen the FOX run the 6-engine setup with the outboard seat, and also seen this chassis converted to running seven engines as the "Bandit" with the driver back at the normal position. However, this is the first time EVER I have seen the FOX not only running seven engines, but seeing Dave sitting smack-dab in front of the seventh with numbers five and six on either side.
I thought I saw of all of the Banter tractors but not this one either . Dave said one time that as soon as he moved from between those rear wheels the tractor never did that well. Take care
@@dandunham7351 Ya me too... The last time I saw them was at Inwood Ontario Canada. In fact I had the luck of sitting and having breakfast with Dave....He was very humble and genuine . He did most of the talking ....mainly because I was tongue tied. LOL. He was my hero of pulling back than. Take care
WOW 7 engines and you sit in the middle of them that's nuts. Heard the announcer say 30,000 dollars each motor for one of the tractors. That thing is worth more than a house.
@@LoganCooper-st5xc Thanks Logan but........Take a look at the guy walking by the fence. That's who my comment refers to. The 80's were a good time......not so much for fashion😂🤣
I saw the Banters other 7-engine tractor about 5 years before this. Never saw the 7-engine tractor where #7 was behind the driver. That sandy track messed up a lot of drivers who overpowered it. I was really impressed with Phil Patterson on the Sassy Massey. I don't think he revved the engines to redline. Maybe he picked a higher gear to limit the power available and hauled it out the end effortlessly.
God I love this video and bring back some great memories but also makes me feel old but Mike Holden Dusty Diamond I know him those Allison's he's had up to six of them in a tractor before Factory superchargers Turbo Charge fuel injection for Holley dominators on each one oh this is great. This is when life was fun I missed the 80s

I'm pretty sure the transmission/gearbox arrangement that brings all the power together operates on principles of magic 😂
I completely forgot about these multi-engine and jet powered monsters. This was a great flashback, great vid.

Thanks for the video! A lot of names I haven't heard in a while and a bunch of cool tractors!
That dude must have strong legs to support those balls! Sitting directly in front of an engine and 6 in front of him!
He does more then you. Do

Wow. Different times back then. Dude sitting right on top of the turbine engines, no roll cage at all haha

I've seen the Banters run a lot back in the day and I must say that is the first time I had seen that setup also...

Lol who thinks of this shit
There’re $100,000 now, thanks to inflation!!!
These old ones are VERY COOL 👍
Wow those are beasts!!
I just CANNOT believe how these were ran with out a roll cage !!! lmao....
I wish I grew up in those days... today's world is not near as good..
Same. I was 1 years old in '89. Don't remember shit.
Wow. 7 engines on one of them.
@20:13 What a fine '80's specimen of a man in the background. Where the hell did he think he was!
@20:13 the man you are talking about is Ralph Banter, the man who built the Banter tractors.

Being between 2 turbines is crazy lol
I live near Kalamazoo MI E.J Potter used to Dominate until the Banner Brothers came in with their 5 engine Chevies that was in the early 1980's
I would NOT want that engine behind me on that first one.
Saw Art pull for the last time in Bowling Green.
wow. these things are beasty
last thing i watch before moving to FL
Pure awesome

That is metal stress
So the guy with the jet powered truck didn't get to go in the finals
Awesome eeeeeeeee
No roll cages. That engine right behind him. Apparently he’s never been on fire.
Needs a couple more engines
Roll cages?
Why not just have another engine?
We went to one back east
When will you broadcast to another championship match where you have multiple tractors with 6 and 7 engines
WHOOAA!!!!
The previous vid I watched had a truck with 4 back wheels just about sled out of stadium.
Good times
The fox only had 7 x. V 8 engines. .???
Imagine sitting beside an engine as it throws a rod.....
The days before roll cages.
This shit is ridiculous lol dude is surrounded by engines
beans doesn't care
>beans a cow
