      The motor noise is the least concern if they can hear the motor starting up by itself. When a hammer mill is crushing scrap it makes a noise like if there was a waterfall of metal scrap thundering down from at least 100 meters. Its insanley loud so I say poor neighbours living close to that. They have to be deaf by now or at least really mad at the constant deafening clattering noise going on for hours a day all over their neighbourhood from morning to evning! ruclips.net/video/evXay0YZwFE/видео.html Hammermill startup vs crushing. I don't know what's wrong with the title and what is shown in the vid. Current meter shows 120 amps (0:50) at terminal rotation speed and the title says 400v, so the power rating comes to 400x120=48000watts, so 48000/1000 gives 48kW. How 160 kW?

  • @el-shesma3733
    @el-shesma3733 2 года назад +1

    The title is all wrong, if it really operates at 400 volts, this means when the motor settled on approx 150 amps in the video it consumes about 60 kw, and started up at 350 amps or 140 kw, so it is completely far from 160 kw because the power of motors is originally measured when settling, not during starting up

      If you read the description, you will see that it draws 533A per phase at start, 1600A in total, so it draws 640kW!

    Nothing to do with “400V” It draws 400Amp at start, voltage will be way lower

      How do you know? 400V AC three phase is common in various countries, even in home kitchens

    • @Rolhenw

      It draws 400A, 133A per Phase when its running (400V), thats 160kW, like the Video says. If you would read the description, it draws about 533 Amps per Phase at start (400V, too)! Thats 1600A and 640 kW. I dont know how you get the idea that a 400V motor would run at a lower voltage, you always run a motor at a constant voltage and change its power by regulating the amps.

      Three Phase AC always runs at 400V, thats constant and standart here in europe.

      @@gabrielv.4358 sure you have 110/220V at home just like the USA, but if you visit a factory in Brazil you will see that they have 400V power for all their big motors.
      In Europe we just run the same voltage both at home and in factories: 240/400V. 240V is for all regular wall sockets, 400V for our water heaters, well pumps etc.
