Tip here! In exercise number 10 you can convert the fractions to percentages, then add the percentages, then multiply the total of percentages to the total of nuts, and finally subtract your result to the total of nuts(200-70) and it’ll give you the answer. Hope this helps!

wow for number 12 i actually. divided 24 got 12 and divided it into 3 and got my answer like that and i did that all in my head in like 30 sec love the vid it helps me refresh my mind.

It's a hard problem with lots of ideas in it. Adding and multiplying fractions, common denominators, proportions. First is to figure out what fractional amount of the apples you used, after that you can figure out what fractional amount you have left 1/8. From there if 1/8 is the fractional amount left and 3 is the total amount of apples, you can do 3 divided by the 1/8 to get 24 total apples to start with

Set aside time every day and study. Print out practice tests and work on them on your own. I have a playlist called Foundations of Math on my channel, work your way through those videos with paper and pencil in hand and do the problems.
Yes that is correct, the least common multiple is 20 and it would be good to use that number. I used 40 only because it seemed easier to see and multiply to. As long as you are multiplying by one to get the fraction the same it doesn't change the value of the number.

@@tamaraforbes6459 hi! not sure if you still need help with that problem but basically you need to move the Zs to one side of the equation and the numbers to the other Keep in mind that when you move numbers to the other side of the equation, positive numbers will be negative and vice versa. Also anything you do on one side of the equation, you must do the same for the other. So once you move everything around it will be 3z+2z=25-5+5 which then simplifies to 5z=25 from here you divide 25 by 5 to get z by itself, and that gives you z=5! Hope this helped lol

Hi so I keep watching your videos and I really am nervous cause I have to take my ASVAB in like 4 days I just wanted to know like how would they grade you if you do good in math, arithmetic, and English alone cause the others topics I can get like 6 out of 15 questions correct in like Mechanical Electrical Science And the last thingy with the shapes is easy cause my practice test for the ASVAB I got a 55 but I want to stick to 55 and over cause that's the only way I can get the MOS I want so please explain it for me
The total has to be one, the common denominator is 40, the fraction 40/40 is equal to 1 so once I had the parts I had to figure the remaining amount to make 40/40.
On number 12, have to find the fractional amount of apples left, find the common denominator and take the amount of apples left. And divide by the fractional amount of apples left. 3 divided by 1/8 to get 24 total apples
@@YourPalAlex540 10% of 60 is 6 but 8% was needed. That translated into 0.8 since we were now at 10%. he just multiplied 6x8 to get 48 and and then moved the decimal once to the left to get 4.8 which is the same as as 6 x 0.8, at least that's how I understood it.

For #10, the least common multiple of 4 and 10 is 20. Why did you use 40 when it’s not the first common one 4 and 10 have?
Yes that is correct, the least common multiple is 20 and it would be good to use that number. I used 40 only because it seemed easier to see and multiply to. As long as you are multiplying by one to get the fraction the same it doesn't change the value of the number.
It’s easier when doing it like this 1/10*200=20 n other 1/4*200=50 add them 50+20=70 then subtract 200-70=130

When reducing fractions you are looking for numbers that go into both the numerator and denominator. I picked 15 because it goes into both
Or you could just divide both by 5 and reduce it then reduce it again and u have 3/7

You are multiplying two fractions so I reduced with division before multiplying

4/8 is from the 1/2 given in the problem. I converted the 1/2 to 4/8 to get a common denominator so that I could add the fractions.
