Ayton has all the physical tools. His potential ceiling is sky high. It’s all about what’s in his chest.

Ayton could ALWAYS shoot but was NOT allowed to in PHOENIX. IT is GOOD to see AYTON expand HIS game without RESTRICTIONS.

@@dr.munchmicuchi4878 AYTON did NOT get as MANY shots in PHX as he is getting PORTLAND.

@@phillysoull I was talking specifically about jump shots, which as you said he has always been good at. I was commenting on how he has no other moves. He’s got a jump hook, a turn around and a 15 ft jump shot. Suns would try to feed him a lot. He never fought for better position (on the glass too) and just took jump shots or turned the ball over. Couldn’t even take advantage of mismatches down low.
I wanted Ayton to be great probably more than he did. But was beyond frustrated with his lack of effort and intensity. I even watched a bunch of blazers games this year to see if he did pick up his intensity. Was not impressed. Dude should be dominating with his height, athleticism and soft touch.

@@dr.munchmicuchi4878 Thats not true. Phoenix rarely tried to take advantage of his mismatches down low. He was basically a screener in Phoenix. Thats one of the reasons they lost to the Mavs. The Mavs had no answer for Ayton he averaged 20 and 10 in games 5 and 6 but Monty tried to go after Luka on offense. Ayton played get in the first month of the season before he got injured and after the new year when he got back
