When I saw James dedicate this episode to his old cat Boo, my heart broke. I'm so sorry for your loss, James. RIP Boo. You'll always be part of the AVGN legacy.

My cat, my fluffy companion and dearest friend, died a week ago, almost exactly 15 years after we brought her into our house. She had been with me through thick and thin, and was there for me when nobody else was. We would sometimes watch AVGN videos together. She will be forever in my heart. RIP Kissa, and RIP Boo. To be honest, the parts where he was petting the cat and cute talking, that definitely wasn't the Nerd, it was James, being his sweet wholesome charming self.
Here's some interesting thing about wii controllers - they use gyroscope and accelerometer chips to track the motion. Such chips are also essential in drones as they make them able to fly and not tumble and crash. But before wii it was hard to get them as a part if you wanted to build a drone yourself. So when wii came out, the controllers were pretty cheap and had the motion chips available. People started disassembling the controllers, pulling out the chips and using them in home made drones. And generally this kinda started the whole drone popularity.

That’s why AVGN covered it! 😀
My back hurts
I remember watching the Christmas special when it was released and laughing at him doing Wii revues. I was today years old when that came to fruition. RIP Boo
Same
To be honest, the parts where he was petting the cat and cute talking, that definitely wasn't the Nerd, it was James, being his sweet wholesome charming self.
The Nintendo Wii is as old as the AVGN show itself. That's hard to wrap my head around.
avgn is older
@@xal2467 Well. Angry Nintendo Nerd is older, but the Wii is older than the angry video game need.
That’s a gnarly anecdote lol thanks for sharing
It's always a treat whenever there's a new AVGN episode.
as a cat owner...the last screen made me shed a tear.😥
As a former cat owner, me too.
Same here man. It’s always rough saying goodbye
Me too 😢
Oh man, that ending screen with dedication somehow moved me to tears. Makes me realize how much we love our pets. It was beautiful, James!
lost my little hamster about a year ago so I see where everyone coming from also that creepy genome what is he doing there lol that part got me in this video
I find it weird that back in the NES accessories video, he was talking about Wii accessories as being the “modern equivalent”, and now he’s reviewing it.
RIP Boo, I remember seeing him way back in the Jaguar video you made. My cat had to be put down a few months ago too, I was gutted. He was pushing into his 20’s.
"Remember the Nintendo Wii?" - 2007
"Remember the Nintendo Wii? - 2022
Man. I'm too old.
This has to be one of the most wholesome AVGN episodes i've ever seen. I love it
Great new Nerd episode. R.I.P. Boo... you'll be missed, but are immortal for your cat-meo's in earlier AVGN vids!
Yeti shall continue to carry the torch of fighting off the Atari Jaguar cube in Boo's stead.
Wait Boo (Death Kitty) passd away?!
This episode is amazing, purely because there's so much footage of James' gorgeous cat in it 😻
You mean “purrley”
Yep, I was waiting for an episode with Yeti in it.
I loved that Christmas episode from yrs ago! One of my favs! My husband and I still watch it every Xmas. "Remember the Nintendo Wii...." lol RIP Boo sweet kitty. 😻
There was some real creativity in the angles and editing of this episode, well done! :)
Loved this episode! Glad Yeti was a big part of it. RIP Boo; we'll never forget the Jaguar episode!
