Thank you!! Because of your video I was able to change this myself! I do wish I would have known the spark plugs where under there so I could have changed them also. I couldn’t have done this without your help! 🤗🤗
Yes update please, I just got mine changed and it didn't change much, maybe you were having the same problem and would like to know what you did in the end if anything.
I like putting a little grease on the out part of the plug boot where it contacts the sleeve to make it easier if you have to pull that coil pack back out. What your opinion on doing this?
i replaced my coil pack and spark plugs didn't resolve my problem my car still has a misfire on number 3 cylinder and says service stabilizer and traction control on the dashboard not sure what else it could be
If you get a misfire code after plugs and coils. First check the spark plug gap. Make sure it's correct. Second. Check your fuel injectors or coil plug wiring. If that's good then check the cylinder for compression. Your engine could be bad bud. Also the traction and stabilizer is most likely a wheel speed sensor. Take it to a shop to get diagnoses. Preferably the Chevy dealer
I had a boot stuck in the cylinder years ago. Pliers tore it so I don't recommend using them. What worked for me instead was spraying WD-40 in between the cylinder wall and the boot's exterior. Then I stuck my finger into the boot and just worked it like a plunger unclogging a toilet. Feels like a chinese finger trap toy on your finger but eventually the boot finally comes out undamaged! After the boot is out you can clean up that cylinder with an automotive paper towel and compressed air.
Did you car throw a check engine light when this happened? I have a 2016 Chevy Cruze LT and there is a crack on the coil. It makes some wired noises while driving and there is some vibration in the engine as well. I’m assuming it’s something to do with the ignition coil but there is no check engine light displayed too.
Did all that plus new plugs on my 2013 cruze 2000 miles ago. Ran and started fine. Now a cyl 3 misfire code. So I removed coil pack and looked at plug 3 which was practically wore off at the tip. Replaced the plug -- others were good and still like new. Reassembled and now engine cranks and no ignition to start. Checked all related fuses and fine. Pulled off coul pack wire connector. Inspected and fine. Re-attached. No start. Now what?
Sounds like what you did was a pretty standard process, plug change and remove a couple wires, so obviously you messed something else up during the process. Maybe didn't plug something back in
Great video, and you didn't even get your hands dirty. Is it the same procedure for Chevy Trax, 1.4L....also is there a way of 'testing' the coil pack on the bench before I replace it to see if it's actually bad, My 2016 Trax has only 72000km on it, time for new coil pack already? Thanks

What the hell! Why I’ve been trying to do my own work because a shop was going to charge me $238 dollars to replace 2 bulbs in my rear lights 🤦🏻♂️ pissed me off the bulbs were $4
What the hell man? They played you like a fiddle. I’d leave them a horrible review for those terrible business practices. It shouldn’t even be more than $100 in labor, if even that.
you could have bought the service manual for the car 600.00, the coil pack the tools and still saved.. wow, i would have laughed in their face if they told me that.. hell for 2,000 more you could have gotten a new motor all together. the coil pack is like 80-110 and i would not buy the after market crap off Amazon. look for the OEM only. the after markets are crap and know to not last as long. Also, he should have checked his plugs. so if you do this job take the extra time to check them and honestly i would just replace them.
@@michaelmorrow9927 not all cars have service manuals, I know, I checked when I tried to find one for the trax. If you go to any napa, carquest or other parts dealer there is no manual for the trax. Should I replace the Spark Plugs ?
Thanks man. Littleraly just got done replacing my wife's coil pack thanks to your video. Seems ti have solved the problem.
What problem were you having ?
Hi I thought it was more complicated, thank you for posting your knowledge on how to videos, it saves me money.
love the video, it was super easy to follow. changed mine in 20 minutes tops. unfortunately wasn't the solution to my problem 😞

I am getting this done, and new spark plugs as well, 550 + tx CAD. Is this a typical price at a shop?
Which one is that I don’t want to get the wrong one

Thanks
Some last the lifetime of the vehicle, some only last 5k, most in general last approx 60k
65K here just switched mine out@@michaelmorrow9927
So the 2104 do not have single coils, if 1 go bad, just change the whole pack.
After you install the new coil pack. You should've turn on the engine to test it.

Probably the head gasket or turbo. Very common with this engine
@@dumpstarrental8477 both are definitely not common if you take care of the engine 🤦

No dielectric grease? Didn't disconnect battery? I guess they let anyone post videos don't they?
What should he use the dielectric grease for?
Dialectic grease for the porcelain portion of spark plugs to make your coil pack boots slip on and off your spark plugs easier/better
Link for the ignition coil on amazon?

Where is the link at?
Anybody experiencing ticking someone told me that the water pump needed to be replaced so I replaced and the car still tick what could it be
My car started ticking at about 65k miles. Its definitely not low oil.
Mine ticks too..
I ordered an ignition coil for my Chevy Cruze 2012 from Amazon. Turned out to be the wrong one. Where did you purchase yours? Link plzzz
You should be able to put ur make model of your car on Amazon so when you are shopping for a part it will tell u if it’s a fit or not

Thanks brother, seems like an easy fix
You bet! it was a very easy fix!
Great video! Thanks a lot!!

Tighten your spark plugs a bit and the noise should go away.
What problem were you having? I'm having rough idle and lurching on random occasions while stopped at red lights. 2017 sonic as well
You need to take it to SeaWorld to get it fixed at this point
Looks simple👍
Thanks. Much appreciated
You forgot to disconnect a battery...before you start ,always disconnect the battery first.
If you unplug the coil pack that is just as good..no danger at all
Don’t need to change the sparkplugs
Thank you so much I was gonna pay $350 just for that.
Just got qouted $600 Aud for that 5 min job
It's criminal how high people will charge for such a simple fix.
Gracias por compartir, me hizo muy útil, buen trabajo
