This was the creepiest CBSRMT episode of them all... I remember sneaking the radio into my room at bedtime when I was 9 years old (Mom didn't want me listening to stuff like this!) and then trying to hide under my covers (with terror paralyzing my little body) while listening to this episode... probably explains why I'm a ghoul to this day. It's still fit to give a grown man the creeps! Thanks for posting.
First time hearing this episode since it first aired in '74. I was hard to scare, but this freaked me out. This body horror is probably the scariest of the series Great memory. Thanks for posting.
What an awesome painting that would be ? But you see, I would paint a hands on a red canvas with blood running down the canvas, coming from the severed hand !! Or maybe even make two hands out of paper mache and use one finger with a rubber glove then put a little battery-operated motor in one of the fingers. Then I will install at the top Center a motion sensor, so if anyone would walk past the painting the one finger would move just a little bit. That would scare the hell out of someone. Isn't that a wonderful idea ? "" Now on another "" "" matter "" I actually do create acrylic paintings myself. I do scenery nature farm and barn yard, but I also do biblical paintings and of course my favorite horror paintings !!!!! And I do think later today I'm going to pull that my sketchpad and begin the sketching of 2 three dimensional left and right severed hands, with the blood dripping down the canvas !!! What do you think of that idea ? Well now that I've looked at the painting gave you me such a great idea. Well now, I will move on to the story. Now maybe we'll talk again later in the play. I hope you have a great evening goodbye for now. But just imagine if you're in bed and your bedroom doors open and you see the hand struggling to scratch across the floor how did it get off a painting and what is it looking for to hold on to Or possibly strangle. Goodbye for now and I hope you sleep well.

I've discovered these this past year. Thanx for sharing these :)
E. G. Marshall was the best host of them all.

One of the best ever.
Very entertaining story.
Another amazing picture!
From the online synopsis:
"A man receives a human hand in the mail and believes it to be a harbinger of doom."
