You'll find that this is commonly used when teaching guitar. Especially when you're using a capo, as they're not really EADGBe anymore. Sorry if this is confusing, but i hope it helped regardless.

and from elixer wich would be better to play pop song in the guitar?
Any of their acoustic steel strings will work fine :)
Get a thinner gauge - .011 if you want thin strings to push down. They won't sound as full though as .012 or .013 gauge.
