just put it on for the Beyonce one. you give her way too much credit. you mentioned where the dance came from but you say it's based. it's pretty much the same thing but the way you would expect a slutty version of an old women dance would be done.
Beyonce is one of the most overrated talents in the industry. i don't hate her or anything. i think she is pretty and does have talent but wow she is overrated.
"Lose Controll" and "Bad Romance" won the Grammy, but "1234" lost to "God's Gonna Cut You Down" by Johnny Cash.

I am a dance teacher. Michael Jackson changed the history of dance, non only the music one, and it's unbelievable if we think he wasn't a dancer, but a singer. Paula Abdul was a good dancer, Madonna sometimes (a long time ago), some others not bad, but Jackson was a genius and after him ALL modern dance changed definitely.
Best go back and look at the history of dance,please.

I understand Thriller being on top because it was such a groundbreaker. But Michael Jackson topped Thriller over and over again - beginning with Bad, and probably the best dance video ever done - Smooth Criminal. Thriller looks like dance kindergarten compared to Criminal.
Facts! He was just revving up and getting started with Thriller. Remember the Time was incredible too with the Eqyptian swag.
The Backstreet Boys video was also inspired by Michael Jackson's "Ghost" and you can also see Michael's moves on Rhythm Nation.

Janet Jackson's live performances were supposed to have been so epic. She put blood, sweat, and tears into them. I remember the news reports of her collapsing or passing out and having to cancel shows. Anyone who I knew who went to see her said that her show was more than worth every since penny. The Jackson children were trained from the moment they took their first breaths to perform. It's a part of their DNA.
Back in the dark ages, when I was young, M.C. Hammer's song started at a dance club I'd gone to with my friends. A leering creepy guy easily twice my age put his hand out to dance with me saying only, "It's Hammer-time." How he didn't expect my obvious response, "And you can't touch this!" is beyond me.

it's not about the outfit or look and story of the video, it's about choreography, the dance part. Hit Me Baby dancing was ok but nothing special and memorable choreography wise. Slave 4 U is choreography everyone remembers.

Thriller was so huge that one of our Geometry teachers was allowed to premier the video at our school. I was in a different Geometry class taking a test and was never so happy to fail a test so I could leave early and see the video. *Priorities people* 😂 On that day he was the most popular teacher ever.

You can’t honor ‘Single Ladies’ without also honoring Gwen Verdon and Bob Fosse! Beyoncé even admits lifting their choreography and dance.

Elastic heart sequence with Shia LaBeouf and Maddie Zeigler is my favorite of all time. It was so raw, so real, it made me think of many human exchanges that take time to enjoy love into a relationship. I saw it not in a sexual way as many criticized it for being but instead like a father daughter or mother son or parent child relationships. I felt some of the exact emotions when trying to stay close to my teenage daughter. It was so vivid and then some feelings of trying to reach my drug addicted oldest son, when he was at his worst before he passed away. I cried for a long time after viewing this for the first time as it was an outlet for held in emotions to escape. It was moving, real, and graphic in nature. The pale pallet let the emotions pull through. We were not told how to relate to the sequence but allowed to feel how we wanted to feel. Brilliant, number one in my book.
This list is great and all videos deserve their spot! I would have liked to have seen 'A little less conversation (Elvis vs. JXL)'. Tap dancers, ballet dancers, pole dancing, cheer leaders... one of the most brilliantly choreographed music videos that I have ever seen.
The whole list should be Michael Jackson, Janet Jackson, NSYNC, and Britney LEGENDARY Spears. MsMojo needs to do their homework LOL

Michael and Janet Jackson's *SCREAM* was amazing. That video (which is still the most expensive video ever made) is phenomenal. All other spots should have been occupied by either Michael Jackson or Janet Jackson (Rhythm Nation).
