JettBlackheart83 I did it and with time you realize that it was good at the time, but that passion does not give you everything you want, especially a well-remunerated activity and professional stability. For the same reason, you start looking for and creating other ways to develop yourself in life, because what was your passion or what is, does not give you everything you need as a person. This movie inspired the teenagers of the decade of the eighties, but did not tell us about the realities of life. Beware of Hollywood fantasies.

The 80s had some good movies, good music, good times and I remember this store called Erols and then it became like Blockbuster and Tower Records, Sam Goody, the malls were cooler and everyone had jobs, and they had the best movies by John Hughes which are now instinct classics and Michael Jacksons's Thriller in 1982 was the #1 Album to buy and everyone wanted to be like Madonna when she had her Like A Virgin Tour, and Madonna was wayy better than Lady Ga Ga who is trying to be LIKE Madonna, The weather wasn't crazy, the schools didn't have police officers patroling the schools, kids were bullyed but nothing major and texting was passing little notes around in some classes and the Female Teachers didn't look like Models they were ACTUALLY teachers, The kids would sing and dance and everything was personal and not out in the open like Cell Phones, Texting, Selfies, Cameras watching your every move and schools didn't have graveyards and we didn't have any major shootings, and we had video arcades, and Wargamers and board games like Dungeouns and Dragons, which was like Warcraft for us back in the day, Birthday parties was going to your friends house and singing and dancing on MTV when MTV was MTV, birthday cake and small gifts unlike today its MY SUPER SWEET 16 I want a BMW, Media Room, A new Closet of Clothes with the latest styles, and I can tell my parents to fuck off whenever I need too, and I am super cool with all my friends who are actually POSERS, LOSERS, LEACHES, WANNABES and these are the girls in High School I am talking about Cheerleaders were ACTUALLY Cheerleader in High School with Sweaters, Leg warmers, and Pomp Pomps and now Cheerleaders act like Sexy Kittens Parents back in the 1980s had jobs, and they let their younger kids go outside and play and be with their friends and when Halloween came around, All The kids went trick o Treating WITHOUT Their parents, and Parents can take their TV away, and Stereo if kids or teenagers mis behaved and now ... TOUCH A KID THEY CALL CPS ON THEIR OWN PARENTS... WELCOME TO THE NEW AMERICA WHERE THE 2nd GENERATION DOESNT EVEN GIVE A SHIT!
+Aimee Adesso - We rode around in station wagons with both parents smoking and all the windows up, no seat belts, no bike helmets, ran the streets at night, listened to motown........
What I find intriguing is the fact that whoever is dancing, they are in top physical shape. You can see how much her body is conditioned, the muscular tone. Truly spectacular.
One of my fav songs that continually inspires me. The key phrase that should inspire all of us in our personal lives is "Take YOUR passion and MAKE it happen". What ever your passionate about, do what it takes to make it happen. Life is not a dry run.

Yes, it is hard to believe. I'm about the same age as Jennifer Beals and so she was a role model for me when this movie came out. Women my age were all about the Flashdance look in those days!
I can't believe having watched this scene and the movie ten's of times, I still tear up when she gets her s together and cranks out the performance of her lifetime.
That ending is just wonderful and incredibly beautiful! She makes it successfully at the audition and I love the way he's waiting for her outside with her dog and a bouquet of roses, makes me cry everytime! I wish I'd meet a man like that! Only beautiful dreams we see in films.

This is one of my favorite movie scenes of all times.. when I first saw this I was almost totally disabled it was hard to walk across the parking lot .. and people were so very cruel . I was severely overweight and suffering in my being..it hurt so bad.. I looked at the seen and saw what I wished I could do.. later I heard that it took three or four separate people to make this movie scene .. the dance part.. and I don't know myself if that's true but.. how this is put together.. the idea.. the acting.. the moves.. dancing and otherwise.. of course the music.. it just all really Blends together to make one of those pivotal movie scenes that surpasses so many movies.. it somehow as an instrument helped me.. I don't know if it was before or after the movie scene but I prayed to THE LORD for healing.. . I felt like there were certain things to do.. and when I would listen I slowly but surely saw and felt changes in my life.. within a year or two I could work 4 to 5 miles health walking.. I could run ..go up and down stairs and do things I couldn't do as a child.you see..I even had physical limitations as a child.... One day I was out somewhere having some tea and a woman came up to me and said ..you have the legs of a dancer..!!! Now many years have passed.. too many hard hard things have happened that have really wounded me.. and I'm not exactly where I used to be but kind of close.. I'm having to start all over again.. it was hard to walk across the parking lot.. I've started Health walking.. I'm up to a mile at a time.. so far I've done four separate miles.. and three separate sets of exercise.. I have heard that there is muscle memory and I sure hope it's true.. I think it is.. so this morning I looked at the video again!.. THX so very much for posting it..
@@sirbuffalo thx. So much for that.. it is certainly very kind of you.. you're reply shows that you have a good soul.. I just finished another workout a few hours ago and I honestly felt like I could run a little bit but I didn't I didn't want to overdo it!.. I'm feeling so much better physically and really I have some goals ahead.. I think I'll make it...today I was honestly considering to make some sort of a RUclips video if I could from time to time mapping my results and how I'm getting there and probably to share with others who are going through similar things.. I don't know but maybe.. it might be helpful.. THX !

"What a feeling" is an 80ies classic that reminds me fondly of good times. Rest in peace, dear Irene and thank you for that song.
Here after Renè Ferretti's interpretation
What! a feeling. this movie lives in my memory!!! I love it!!! The soundtrack is wonderful!!!
+Jerry To Gotta love the 80s I have seen Flashdance the musical and the movie was better**** I miss the 80s and now everything sucks now
Yes Aimee. miss the 80's too
The 80s had some good movies, good music, good times and I remember this store called Erols and then it became like Blockbuster and Tower Records, Sam Goody, the malls were cooler and everyone had jobs, and they
had the best movies by John Hughes which are now instinct classics and Michael Jacksons's Thriller in 1982 was the #1 Album to buy and everyone wanted to be like Madonna when she had her Like A Virgin Tour, and Madonna was wayy better than Lady Ga Ga who is trying to be LIKE Madonna, The weather wasn't crazy, the
schools didn't have police officers patroling the schools, kids were bullyed but nothing major and texting was passing little notes around in some classes and the Female Teachers didn't look like Models they were ACTUALLY teachers, The kids would sing and dance and everything was personal and not out in the open like Cell Phones, Texting, Selfies, Cameras watching your every move and schools didn't have graveyards and we didn't have any major shootings, and we had video arcades, and Wargamers and board games like Dungeouns and Dragons,
which was like Warcraft for us back in the day, Birthday parties was going to your friends house and singing and dancing on MTV when MTV was MTV, birthday cake and small gifts unlike today its MY SUPER SWEET 16 I want a BMW, Media Room, A new Closet of Clothes with the latest styles, and I can tell my parents to fuck off whenever I need too,
and I am super cool with all my friends who are actually POSERS, LOSERS, LEACHES,
WANNABES and these are the girls in High School I am talking about Cheerleaders were ACTUALLY Cheerleader in High School with Sweaters, Leg warmers, and Pomp Pomps and now Cheerleaders act like Sexy Kittens
Parents back in the 1980s had jobs, and they
let their younger kids go outside and play and be with their friends and when Halloween came around, All The kids went trick o Treating WITHOUT Their parents, and Parents can take their TV away, and Stereo if kids or teenagers mis behaved and now ... TOUCH A KID THEY CALL CPS ON THEIR OWN PARENTS... WELCOME TO THE NEW AMERICA WHERE THE 2nd GENERATION DOESNT EVEN GIVE A SHIT!
+Aimee Adesso So true.
One of the greatest scenes in movie history.
I haven’t seen any dancing scenes as touching and inspiring like this.
Watched this back in the 80’s and now wow
RIP IRENE..MY BRONX BEAUTY...YOU WILL BE REMEMBERED IN SONG AND STAGE AND SCREEN.
Nothing says the 80's like people smoking in a dancer's audition
No
My mom used to smoke when we walked in the mall
@@michaelvartanian4031 I love it! I feel like a lot of moms did that then
A história de uma dançarina de cabaré que se apaixonou por um empresário.
I remember that lol. Also smoking and non smoking at restaurants, it just seemed normal to me
One of my fav songs that continually inspires me. The key phrase that should inspire all of us in our personal lives is "Take YOUR passion and MAKE it happen". What ever your passionate about, do what it takes to make it happen. Life is not a dry run.
That is my favorite quote!

🤲🏼 from Philippines 🇵🇭
RIP Irene Cara…..your angel voice made this movie!!!
Hard to believe that this was 35 years ago.
Yes, it is hard to believe. I'm about the same age as Jennifer Beals and so she was a role model for me when this movie came out. Women my age were all about the Flashdance look in those days!
Its now 36 tho
I can believe it cuz of the vinyl
Holy flippin crap!!!!
Damn it , I was 30 then, now 65 pfffffffffffffff. Time flies. Try to use it well.
Irene Cara vivirá para eternamente en esta canción que siempre nos hará vibrar
Great music and great number
Us 80’s kids Rock!!!!!

2023 RIP Irene Cara! We will always love you for this ❤️ ♥️
In 2080, a new generation will get to experience this all over again.

I used to watch the tv show fame when I was a kid! Great dancing
RIP Irene. Phenomenal talent
Truly, 80's music have a very deep impact in our emotions.
You can't feel the same in nowdays song
I will never forget seeing this for the first time back in 83
The 80s! Yes, exactly! What a feeling!!!! Breakfast Club, don't you forget about me, coming up next!!
@/Jonathan Sherman Hahaha
@/Jonathan Sherman good for you then, keep looking too and good luck!
And dont forget that 80s porsche
@@alcyon2sp And don't forget how she feels him up in the restaurant with her foot. Romance takes many forms :-)

40 years ago. We all still dance with this song even me who I am almost 70.
I was a teenager in the 80's. I thank the Universe forever for that. What a time to be alive.
O mistério da música, é sempre nova para alguém que ouvirá pela primeira vez nos próximos tempos.

Yes, the 70's and the 80's I'd say !
90s better
100% agreed. I loved the 80's -- Lionel Richie, M. Jackson and Cindy Lauper -- so many great music stars.
Seven
What a Song.......the Pre 2000 music belongs to a different league altogether when compared to the Shit they make these days. Lockdown and enjoying these Classics in India.
I feel like crying. It's already been almost 40 years since I watched a movie that touched my childhood.
I was a dancer before I toes were broken this woman brings me back to my dancing days love this

Aquele comentário BR que você estava procurando. 😌🇧🇷❤️
I have always LOVED this part of the movie!! Bring on the 80's
Quando criança amava esse filme, obg por me alegrar na quele momento tão difícil .
Qual é o nome do filme?
I remember this movie like it was yesterday!
THX so very much for posting it..
treesa rae I'm genuinely happy for you and I'm truly sorry for all the pain you've felt in your life.
THX !
A pro dancer named Marine Jahan did 90 per cent of the scene above,a gymnast did the flip into the break dance, and a man actually did the spin on the floor. All Jennifer Beals did was start the record,at the begining.
@@websterscam yes..i learned that after awhile..but its such a tremendous scene.
Maestro René Ferreddi brought me here
When we were watching this in the theater, the entire audience cheered when she hit that windmill and back spin.
The 80s had some of thr best songs movies of all time .
A real Masterpiece. We miss you, `80 ages, come back to us!
O que eu mais gosto nessa música, é a escala que ela vai fazendo, começa tranquila e vai subindo o tom até chegar no ápice, top demais!!
