I agree with the theory that King Gaiserc used the Berserker Armor and Elven magic during his conquest to unite Midland. There is a high possibility that he had encountered several Apostles thousands of years ago disguised as feudal lords of Midland. The godhand existed at the time, so it makes sense that Midland kings and warlords must've been Apostles and Pseudo Apostles as well. And King Gaiserc's use of Berserker Armor and Elven magic allowed him to kill the apostles easily during his conquest.
And then in a time of peace under his rule void betrayed skull knight and then the flashback of the armor’s memory and over the years he’s been stalking the night. I believe he killed the other godhand member when they became physical
We actually don't know for a fact that the god hand existed at the time. All we do know is that 4 primordial apostles met void upon him performing the invocation of doom and sacrificing gaiserics capital city. There's actually a theory that those primordial apostles were not god hand members, but the four elemental kings that wanted to be ruled over by what would become the god hand. This would line up with gaiserics use of elven magic in his conquest of midland because the four elemental kings would've had a direct hand in his successes, thus becoming enraged when he forgot about them and began indulging in sin and vices due to the effects of the berserker armor. This would also explain why upon becoming a god hand member, void immediately descended deep into the astral world to begin preparing for the next invocation of doom. The other idea is that either the four elemental kings anger towards gaiseric was manifested by the Idea Of Evil or that the four primordial apostles were directed by the Idea Of Evil to meet void and collect his sacrifices for the invocation of doom.
I agree, same thing with the god hand. A lot of people want their full backstory but that would ruin them as characters and make us sympathize with unworldly beings which wouldn't make any sense
@@GDSprodify look at it like this. In a horror movie, what would be more effective? If the murderous creature stayed a complete enigma throughout the story, never having its nature or its motivation revealed? Or if some dude just explained the things motivation, nature, weakness etc., thereby completely removing everything that made the monster seem scary and threatening. “The brief moment she shares with skull knight is like two lovers who forgot eachother due to the sands of time recalling a memory as faint as a star on a cloudy night” bro that was poetry 🥲
I mean just look at SKs design, Miura is known for conveying things through visual as well as textual, Skull Knights helm looks ominously like a skull with a jagged crown imbedded in his head. Now why would a priest or high ranking soldier wear a crown. It makes the most sense that a ruler would. I love storytelling like this. It leaves it up to the reader to come to their own conclusions. Which is why I love Miyazaki for somewhat taking up that storytelling mantel and applying it to games like Dark Souls, Bloodborne and Elden Ring. He in a way pays his respects to Miura every time he makes another game with the inspirations from Berserk.
Been a huge fan since 2010, Skull Knight is King Gaiseric. The five elemental angels that came to destroy his city were Void and the rest of his group that was the first God hand after Void's induction. I think King Gaiseric's kingdom failed and was destroyed due to the fact he wanted to marry the elf queen. The priest who became Void for forbid it. That is what jump-started the events that are occurring in Beserk today.
Well the Berserker Armour blood memory pretty much implies he's a former king (Gaiseric) that lost himself to it & died fighting the previous incarnation of the God Hand hench his connection to Void. How he came back hasn't really been addressed though Flora may of had some spell to cast his soul to his current armour somehow? Plus his horse, that clearly he was close to or perhaps a gift given to him. He seems to forsee things & may of known of Guts before he was born like The God Hand knew Griffith would be Femto before his existence likely explaining why he helps Guts at upcoming junction points or tries to intervene not knowing what will happen for sure. I believe Dannan has some connection to him as she resembles the woman he had in his arms during the memory... Maybe a relative? Guts now wears the very armour that killed him & potentially could do the same, is why he overseeing Guts knowing long ago another would tread a similar path but to not let the same outcome happen again? I don't believe Skull Knight is connected to Guts by being a future version or a unknown family member, he's a man that faced a similar situation & died & now he's found someone with the same goals that could either eliminate them once and for all (unlikely scenario) or sacrifice themselves to stop the God hands schemes one and for all. I think Rickert will be a defining addition to that situation knowing full well he could touch what no one else could! The face of evil Femto
The horse doesn't seem that weird as there are several apostles which have a steed and even incorporate them into the apostle's evolved form. I think it has to do with their self-image, like in the matrix. Like how Griffith saw himself as the hawk and wanted wings.
@@PANCHOSWAY Though Femto apparently allows Rickert to slap him and let him go peacefully, it's unclear whether it is because he thought Rickert's existence to be too insignificant or if he believed killing Rickert in the open would damage his reputation. If he let Rickert go out of genuine affection for their past bond, then he would stop being Pure Evil that he claims to be.
The King as Skull Knight and the Scholar as Void seems pretty plausible. Though I’m not sure if I buy the idea of the old city as debauched since the source is the Holy See. While Griffith did not deserve that torture, he was a monster well before that.
Zodd and Skully being "eternal Rivals" is a nice symbolism for guts' future. Two possible paths lead to apparently similar outcomes, but on different sides of the same coin. They both chose their 'destined' path and are now stuck in an eternal struggle against the other side. Guts may one day have to flip that coin for himself and maybe it will land on its edge for him, unveiling a new path nobody has traveled so far.
Void: Lips cut off seemingly but all skin flaps pulled back revealing all intact teeth. Maybe jaw closed shut and forced that way. Nose cut off. Eyes sewn shut but perhaps eyeballs are still back there as they're not sunken. Skull was slowly/somehow removed to expose swelling brain while trying to be kept alive assumingly. Interesting.
Hands down my dearest character from the BERSERK universe aside of the BLACK SWORDSMAN as well of course Skull Knight is not just one of my personal dearest Dark fantasy characters of all times but one of the greatest Dark Hero ever written much love Kentaro Miura thank you for the Knight, for Guts and for BERSERK may your soul live forever somehow
- Skull Knight knew Guts would be a sacrifice, but he did not stick around to kill the owner of the crimson behelit. - The presence of the 2 people with the brand of sacrifice at Albion brought forth the mass of ghosts that killed everybody, allowing for the reincarnation of Griffith. Skull Knight saved these 2 people, allowing them to be present at the right place at the right time. - Skull Knight intervention allowed the merging of the astral and physical worlds. Is it just me, or Skull Knight sucks at his job of opposing the God Hand? I sometime feel he is working for the God Hand, not against them.
i feel it's becos under normal circumstances he can't reach the god hand, it has to be during an eclipse or similar weird event. so he kinda allows the 1st and 2nd event you mentioned to happen so he can attack the god hand dunno why he can't just do it during normal apostle behelit activation ceremony but maybe he has off screen, numerous times, just never succeeds or maybe his cool sword of actuation can only be made stronger by swallowing a behelit that has been activated , not dormant ones. so he just allows normal apostle making ceremony to happen and kill the apostles later to get their behelit the merging of the astral word, he totally fucked up though
Skull Knight has been shown to have a good idea of causality's flow so I'm guessing he let causality take it's course because it brings him closer to taking revenge on the God Hand. One of those things is the Great Roar of the Astral World so now he can entomb the God Hand permanently. That's my guess at least.
@@EternalDeath14 either he lets it happen, as he can more consistently attack god hand members once fantasia happened, or he totally messed up. after all even god hand members are not omniscient, so i assume skull knight , despite knowing a lot of causality, is not all knowing in that department too
I think the merging of astral and physical world happened because Griffith used his power to change the direction of skull knight’s slash. I believe skull knight was aiming for Griffith, but Griffith used his telekinesis ability to move his sword so it slashes the tree instead. You could also see the slash contorting like a ribbon, which was probably controlled by Griffith instead of the skull knight.
As I remember, Skull Knight was believed to be a former King and Puck said that he “felt like an Elf.” I assume he’s either Elfkin or is using some manner of Elf magic or something. To me, Skull Knight was great in watching and sometimes aiding in the battles Guts and company went on.
@@damiancrowley569 Yes but dwarves are among the spirits as well so that could've feel familiar to Puck. Not to mention Skulls close relations with witch Flora and probably other mystical people and creatures of the fairy variety.
A teory that i have is that zodd was another strugler that was a Ally of skull Knight. But different of guts he used his behelit and become an apostle.
Bro me to! For sure it’s guts. After everything uses a behelit and becomes a demon whose sheer will overpowers the demonic will. So a rogue demon. Anti Demon. Idk. It’s awesome 😆
The fact hannar said he is just rattling in his coffin. I believe that Flora and Hannar worked to keep Skull Knight's ego or soul inside the new armor.
I've always thought of skull Knight and guts also as being the personification of true death in the bezerk world. You know they said in the story that guts Teeters on the verge of both life and death and is able or more attuned to escaping death and skull night also same situation technically he's a race he's on the edge of life and death he can't crossover because of his deeds and needs to continue his struggle. But technically yeah they're personification is death if you see guts or skullknight on the battlefield there's a 99.9% chance that you're not going to leave the battlefield, death is coming for you
I always had a suspicion that the SK was Guts in the future. Oddly similar to the Manwha "Skeleton soldier can't protect the dungeon" in that regard. At least to me! XD
I don't think Void was ever made. Seeing how he is in the center, makes me believe he was the actual devil himself or the proxy of devil. Rest of the god hand members may come and go or probably be killed over time or void eats them up so that's why the beheilt is spread around the world in all times so void can find new god hand members. I guess the skull knight might've killed a few god hand members too in an extreme battle and the only one he can't kill is the void. Thus he's focused on killing void at all cost because he's the Actual Heart of the Dark Realm.
@@123arskasAt the mansion of the spirit tree, Flora tells Guts she knows that each of the Godhand were humans once. Plus, the sage being void is most heavily implied. The face is obviously tortured, sewn eyes, mutilated mouth, exposed cranium. Void is just the de facto leader of the Godhand. Obviously Skull Knight and Void go way back.
So I looked it up and turns out it is actually Band of the Falcon. The kanji for hawk and falcon are the same in Japanese, so the English translation probably mistook it for hawk by accident
Its funny cause if i remember correctly, there was a lot of shots of focus being on a bird that looked a lot more like a falcon than a hawk😂plus theres “falconia” not “hawkonia” so..
I've seen a theory that lacks but is interesting as a similarity. According to the tale, Gaiseric appeared out of nowhere, conquered and unified the land. That sounds pretty much like Griffith after reborning, except he was known in Midland before. Still, that sound more like a coincidence than proof of anything, as the other information leans more towards he being realy human as king
Just a thought but would be interesting if, during skull knight eclipse, during his reign as a king, his lover in his hands and her student must have did their own rebirth ceremony in the expense of skull knights lover life, to bring him back from the void, him and his horse. Something major had to get her banished from elfhelm, and maybe it was because of something in that nature (basically stated in the updated video the skull knights armor) maybe during the the witches ceremony it was something time based so the berserker armor still consumed the king, while dealing damage to the god hand themselves, and when the ceremony was completed, he was removed from the void and now resides in his version of the armor while he retrieved the one guts wears from the aftermath of his eclipse and places it under watch of the witch of the forest.
I love these analysis of the characters! I've followed the manga for so many years and I love the Void being the 5th element which is in everything! There's always the unknown mysterious parts of everything! But I love how intertwined it all is and hopefully His team will honour his wishes; but thank you for such a brueautiful story(is not a typo is brutal+beautiful) I wonder what's going to become of the skull knight.
I love that berserk's being continued by Koji Mori but it just doesn't have the magical Miura touch. The pages don't jump out at me the way it used to. RIP to one of the greatest mangaka of all time
The fact is Skull Knight has a crown on his head should tell everyone that he is that former King, I can't remember exactly what his name is right now I'm sure you'll see it in the video but we know he did some horrible things and it's possible that becoming the skull Knight or right before that he found out that what he was doing was evil or perhaps he was doing that terrible deed to this person because he was evil to begin with and then to continue his fight against this evil it's possible that he had his own Belhelit that was different from Griffiths egg of the king but still similar considering he is a king as well anyway he it's still shown wearing his crown, and we know that the God Hand are evil so he's most likely the opposite even though this is a Horror Story I'm sure you can see where I'm going I'm sorry I got a lot to do today
I wonder if Gaiseric and had a friendship with Void’s original human form. And Gaiseric grew corrupt from constant expansion with no rest. The original void was perhaps his greatest tactician and second to Gaiseric’s queen. And amongst his many hours of torture he’d had his eyes sewn shut and heard the idea of evil this through an incarnation ritual he was reborn as Void. Choosing to sacrifice Gaiseric and his empire.
Great videos you made... Also Slan call him: Your highness... What if Danan is not the reincarnation of the former love of Gaiserik...may be is his daughter... thats why they gaze in that way.
The skull knight didn't give him the sword guts took it. Also guts told him to go to casaca. Skull knight is very Crypted also with zodd he didn't wash he lost his arm but it look like he wasn't tired
skull knight is the king, just makes sense. Void being the holy man also makes sense. since you have to go thru some king of horrible torture and loss and the willingness to give up everything.
YES! WOOOOOOO! it feels great to have suspicions confirmed. I mean its kinda obvious, the titles that supreme king gaiseric had are all applicable to skull knight, skull knight rides a horse, has a skull shaped helm,(similar to the berserker armors first helmet design), and has almost unparalleled skill in battle, This also means that theoretically if the same thing were to happen to Guts then the form henwould take as a wraith would closely resemble his beast of darkness (which im pretty certain is a wolf, or something akin to one) Also if im not mistaken gaiseric's current armor still has a brand of sacrifice somewhere on one its pieces (i think its somewhere near his collar hidden by one of the pualdrons)
the godhand gets replaced, its a cycle. Void is the last of the 1000 year cycle. When on Godhand dies, another is born to take his place and it keeps going. One is destined to be born in the world. I think Gaiseric was a demon and it even says in the manga that Gaiseric was a demon of the battlefield. Gaiseric build the kingdom and then one his people sacrifices the kingdom that thy cared for.
I don’t think it’s a cycle. Cause when you see Skull Knight’s final moments you only see Void at his spot on the hand’s finger when they show the whole hand, all the other demons were just floating around in the background. That right there shows the other members God Hands were even born yet.
Hey just a suggestion: Create more Playlists. There should be one just for Berserk content. Come on now. Make it easier to find all the videos associated with any given popular franchise. :)
He is indeed a powerful being but he ultimately is just like Guts a failure in the fight against the God Hand in all the years he has fought them he has not defeated a single one of them he struggles against fate but for what he has lost everything just as Guts did I can't comprehend the will power they must possess to be able to fight so much and not desire the release of death in the face of a impossible enemies to defeat.
There’s still a couple things that perplex me. For starters, if the sage hated Geisric so much why wouldn’t he equally hate his people as well, why would the kingdom hold any level of importance to his humanity it’s not like any of them tried helping him, because while the ritual doesn’t necessarily require a loved one or family member it doesn’t have to be someone dear to you at the very least something that anchors your humanity, wouldn’t it make sense that that Void is Geisric because of his sinful and debaucherous behavior much like how Griffith became Femto? After all the entire kingdom was sacrificed, not just his lover, it would make more sense that a ruler would hold his entire kingdom to a high degree of importance. What’s more is Void calls Griffith “kinsman” before he becomes Femto, and while this isn’t indicative of them being directly related he could be pointing out how Griffith much like Geisric had similar dreams and even had similar methods of obtaining those dreams and both were extremely sinful. This would also kinda explain why the Skull Knight hates anything thats inhuman as it was the inhumans that caused both his death the death of a loved one and why he is so intent on stopping future rituals from occurring and would also explain why he understand causality to some degree as in his previous life he explored it somewhat. See this is what I love about both of these characters they are so similar but so very different at the same time. Because cases for either one being the other is plausible. Though I am agreeing that SK is likely Geisric. Given his design and how he Carrie’s himself what’s more is he is more often than not riding his horse which falls perfectly into one of his titles as the “Death Rider” or the “Skull King”. It’s just that games like Dark souls have taught me to always look below the surface as there could be implications that we miss in the face of more blatant facts.
Yeah this is good I agree a lot, another possibility is that geisric’s lover maybe cheated with void as a human and that’s why he was tortured, void might have sacrificed his lady, in return geisaric sacrificing his kingdom to try and stop void, or maybe void sacrificed his kingdom and his lover
I love that the armor has a similar effect of the behelits. The armor gives u power and ability but at the sacrifice of your own body and mind but the behelit is at the sacrifice of others
Well, look at the art. there is a massive amount of concept pages Miura wrote about each character, I forgot which volume it was in, but it covers nearly every significant character and their stances, their facial expressions, differences in how they look when embarrassed and down to the way they walk, or buttons on their clothing etc. etc. The painstaking detail he put into it all is why it took so long, and why the new chapters don't seem fleshed out. they're still great but only feels like 70% of what Miura was.
@oscatMeow I can see that to some extent. Murata is one of the best Mangaka I've ever seen OP Is WAY more consistent than Berserk as far as breaks go yet its still going on 14 years and they've got a few arcs left. Still 30 is a stretch. Like GOT (which will never finish) if it takes you more than 10-15 years to tell the full story sounds like you either lost your passion for it or you're really not sure what direction you're going for it.
@@Thatdudefresh Yeah it is definitely a lot. But I think a bit of it is not only the painstaking detail and vision he had for every panel, but just general problems when publishing things. I think he even re-drew older chapters. Like right now even though the art and dialog has taken a hit, its on average taking something like 2.5/3 months per chapter right now. If I remember correctly Miura would sometimes take 8 months or longer for one chapter in some years. I think it was said that Miura had a general direction but kinda went along with his ideas everywhere in-between, so maybe that process wasn't as efficient as other manga studios
@oscatMeow I can see that, and I agree. Just looking at it though if a person was 5 the year Berserk came out 89 that person is about to turn 40. With no end in site that's just a really long time. Oda is getting up there Also. One Piece is at 25 years old, but he said that One Piece is about to end.
@@Thatdudefresh Yeah agreed put it that way its a bit absurd especially for the people that grew up with it over massive amount of time. its a weird combination of too much passion (which is good) but a bit of mishandling in terms of breaks and output, the art is astounding imo but I wouldn't have minded a bit more of a hit on that for faster releases in the past for sure, kinda like now.. either way I really hope it can be wrapped up faithfully in a few years so complete anime adaptations can be done thereafter. here's to hoping
Skull night wanting to be part of the first God hand by being King Gaiseric and sacrificing all his kingdom and everything for it. But after he gets into the God hand decides to confront them for an unknown reason.
Perhaps when the previous godhand came to destroy gaisericks Kingdom, Void ascended as the new member but skull knight/gaiserick killed the older 4 members going ballistic in his berserker armour, and only Void survived, he may also have been resurrected or bound to his armour as a spirit and that's why can't ve killed
The underlying plot sounds like a very dark version of Fullmetal Alchemist in a sense. LOL it just popped in my head. The whole fact of sacrificing a whole bunch of people for immortality
@@RandoLePerson predation doesn't mean innovation. sacrificing or abandoning your possessions in pursuit of supernatural powers i.e immortality isn't exclusive to Berserk. Muria himself has borrowed from Lovecraft and the later has this concept as basis for his stories. both FMA and Bersek can have borrowed the notion of sacrifice for selfish pursuit. difference is Bersek did so prior to FMA and took longer to conclude that arc (in part due to its mangaka's illness and untimely death).
I wonder if he is not the ""griffith"" of the relation with void By that I mean is that he was the one who wanted control, power and a kingdome and void was his right hand man So imagine if When griffith got his dream he somehow put guts in jail for some reason and probably tortured Since godhands need to sacrifice what they love the most Void would sacrifice the population that he worked hard to creat
Is it just me but I haven’t heard one channel that covers this story point out the strong parallels between SK and Guts. It’s like the story that we are being told from start to finish is in fact a repeat story of what happened to SK.
Considering this was what the guy saw before his death, I think it’s safe to say this was after the whole “talk to the magic heart thingy” part of the eclipse, and wasn’t Griffith in a similar position?
I mean at this point if you deny skull knight is king gaiseric idk what to say. Like the skull armor the helmet the comment above the death of a foolish king when he’s clearly talking about his own death everyone calling him his majesty like come on it’s obvious he’s king gaiseric
I think skull knight is a magically empowered former apostle, who killed his family and lost his kingdom using the berserker armor and lives now for revenge
*Plot Twist* I personally believe Void was the original king(hence the ‘Brain Crown’) and SK was the heir to his throne(The Prince, perhaps). Void was corrupt and “levied heavier taxes on the people” for his own benefit. SK overthrew his father to take the crown and then Void(the Sage, formerly the king) used the Crimson Behelit to sacrifice his kingdom, branding SK the prince who was already wearing the berserker armour. Thus SK’s mortal life ended during Void’s eclipse, but his existence continued, potentially with some intervention from Flora. (In this process, there was a showdown whereby the 4 elemental kings were summoned, killing 4 of the original Godhand, excluding avoid, given he was too powerful and could manipulate space.. SK never found a way around this until he created The Sword of Actuation).
lol he simply represents death I guess. That goes along with fate, his job is to make sure the characters die when they are supposed to. Thats why he saves them again and agian. Thats why he know about Guts birth, death was close, literally. thats why guts has a deep connection to death. he fought death while he was being born, thats like at early as it gets in the metaphoric way. I think thats also why guts has the berzerker armor, that just represents the darkness he already met at birth, thats why he has access to it. and death has access to it because death is literally existing in darkness if not is the incarnation of darkness, meaning his literal role/job is to bring darkness to someone when its their time to die. and maybe we see this eternal fight with the godhand because they are immortal and death isnt cool with that idea :D
In the end, the skull king probably wasn't even evil. I don't think people should trust the GH's interpretation of anything, and the religion that formed from said event clearly worships the idea of evil. without them knowning.
an eclipse and incarnation ceremony did NOT happen at the same time Void became godhand at albion tower of conviction 1080 years ago which is when SK died in berserk armor and when Zodd was also alive Then 1000 years ago Gaiserics kingdom fell during the incarnation ceremony in which void most likely was reborn at the current tower of rebirth then 864 years before void becomes first of new godhand
I believe griffif and skull knight are more alike and void was similar to guts and in a final last ditch effort to defeat skull knight he sacrificed himself to the God hand and dethroned all former God hand members and guts will end up doing the same thing to griffif.
@stitch the conditions Maybe different for him, void some how dethroned all former God hand members and in order for him to that, different circumstances had to be at play other then sacrificing those you love, hatred is equally as powerful.
Hated that the Knight was taken out of the first animated series we got. This will always be one of my favorite fantasy series of all time.
Was he taken out or did they just not get to him? Hate that it ended at the band of the Hawk Arc though. Nevermind. My question was answered.
I thought the series was still going on after the creators death. Like aren’t they already working on continuing the manga?
They cut him & others because it was only planned to be 25 episodes at the time.

who really blame sk for marriying an elf queen , elf queens are beautifull, sk like me are men addicted to elve women.
The blood memory seemed to imply he killed some of the original God hand besides void. At least that's how I interpreted it.
The horse doesn't seem that weird as there are several apostles which have a steed and even incorporate them into the apostle's evolved form.
I think it has to do with their self-image, like in the matrix. Like how Griffith saw himself as the hawk and wanted wings.
Did Rickerd really touch Femto or did Griffith lower its guard to act more human around rickard just to get smacked in the end lol
I like the theory that skull night is king gaiseric and that void is the priest that sacrificed the city the first time
The King as Skull Knight and the Scholar as Void seems pretty plausible.
Perhaps Guts is a descendant of Skull Knight, which is why he always goes out of his way to save him...
I think its more of the skull knight finally found a replacement.
@@drewmyers3916yeah.. Since things in berserk don't end well, I have a feeling he wants Guts to replace him. I.e binding guts soul to his armor.
@@drewmyers3916 you meant a successor?
Void: Lips cut off seemingly but all skin flaps pulled back revealing all intact teeth. Maybe jaw closed shut and forced that way. Nose cut off. Eyes sewn shut but perhaps eyeballs are still back there as they're not sunken. Skull was slowly/somehow removed to expose swelling brain while trying to be kept alive assumingly. Interesting.
Hands down my dearest character from the BERSERK universe
aside of the BLACK SWORDSMAN as well of course
Skull Knight is not just one of my personal dearest Dark fantasy characters of all times
but one of the greatest Dark Hero ever written
much love Kentaro Miura
thank you for the Knight, for Guts and for BERSERK
may your soul live forever somehow
- Skull Knight knew Guts would be a sacrifice, but he did not stick around to kill the owner of the crimson behelit.
- The presence of the 2 people with the brand of sacrifice at Albion brought forth the mass of ghosts that killed everybody, allowing for the reincarnation of Griffith. Skull Knight saved these 2 people, allowing them to be present at the right place at the right time.
- Skull Knight intervention allowed the merging of the astral and physical worlds.
Is it just me, or Skull Knight sucks at his job of opposing the God Hand? I sometime feel he is working for the God Hand, not against them.
i feel it's becos under normal circumstances he can't reach the god hand, it has to be during an eclipse or similar weird event. so he kinda allows the 1st and 2nd event you mentioned to happen so he can attack the god hand
dunno why he can't just do it during normal apostle behelit activation ceremony
but maybe he has off screen, numerous times, just never succeeds
or maybe his cool sword of actuation can only be made stronger by swallowing a behelit that has been activated , not dormant ones. so he just allows normal apostle making ceremony to happen and kill the apostles later to get their behelit
the merging of the astral word, he totally fucked up though
Skull Knight has been shown to have a good idea of causality's flow so I'm guessing he let causality take it's course because it brings him closer to taking revenge on the God Hand. One of those things is the Great Roar of the Astral World so now he can entomb the God Hand permanently. That's my guess at least.
@@EternalDeath14 either he lets it happen, as he can more consistently attack god hand members once fantasia happened, or he totally messed up. after all even god hand members are not omniscient, so i assume skull knight , despite knowing a lot of causality, is not all knowing in that department too
It could be some cruel fate that void afflicted to him. This is a very good point though.
The prophecy came to thruition, word for word... Guts did stand with a broken sword. Literally. And survived the Eclipse.
RIP miura I wonder what could’ve been if he was still alive
As I remember, Skull Knight was believed to be a former King and Puck said that he “felt like an Elf.” I assume he’s either Elfkin or is using some manner of Elf magic or something. To me, Skull Knight was great in watching and sometimes aiding in the battles Guts and company went on.
That's because of the berserker armor he used to wear
Maybe I'm remembering incorrectly, but I thought the berserker armor was dwarven?
@@damiancrowley569 yeah it’s dwarven
@@damiancrowley569 Yes but dwarves are among the spirits as well so that could've feel familiar to Puck. Not to mention Skulls close relations with witch Flora and probably other mystical people and creatures of the fairy variety.

Berserk is such a 💎thanks for this video analysis on this Berserk character.
Lowkey best character
A teory that i have is that zodd was another strugler that was a Ally of skull Knight. But different of guts he used his behelit and become an apostle.
Griffith is repeating what Gaiseric did back then.
I always thought Skull Knight was Guts in the future.
Bro me to! For sure it’s guts. After everything uses a behelit and becomes a demon whose sheer will overpowers the demonic will. So a rogue demon. Anti Demon. Idk. It’s awesome 😆
No , he's not. I thought so, too. However, now we know that Skull Night was part of a sacrifice of his own
The fact hannar said he is just rattling in his coffin. I believe that Flora and Hannar worked to keep Skull Knight's ego or soul inside the new armor.
Doom guy, skull knight, and Guts all men who are too angry to die
Thus he's focused on killing void at all cost because he's the Actual Heart of the Dark Realm.
he is in the middle like Femto was in his birth
All god hand members were humans once according to the panels at Elf's island.
@@Gutsu9X
I don't see anything about Void ever being a human.
God I love Berserk. I hate that it took me so long to actually check it out
So I looked it up and turns out it is actually Band of the Falcon. The kanji for hawk and falcon are the same in Japanese, so the English translation probably mistook it for hawk by accident
Either that, or the fourth arc should be called Hawk of the Millennium Empire.
Its funny cause if i remember correctly, there was a lot of shots of focus being on a bird that looked a lot more like a falcon than a hawk😂plus theres “falconia” not “hawkonia” so..
I haven't heard someone say "Mayn-ga" in so long 😮
I like him because he was with guts as soon as that great ending as the camera zooms out
I've seen a theory that lacks but is interesting as a similarity. According to the tale, Gaiseric appeared out of nowhere, conquered and unified the land. That sounds pretty much like Griffith after reborning, except he was known in Midland before. Still, that sound more like a coincidence than proof of anything, as the other information leans more towards he being realy human as king
skull knight humms to him self the look my horse song constantly
He is so mysterious and rescued Guts and Casca
i love skull knight..he always there to help guts
Thank you for this vid imma subscribe real quick
SUBBED and LIKED just like every one of their videos. Fantastic. Love you guys.
There are so many subtle clues that there is an idea of good that exists somewhere in this universe
Alright i m gonna say it, Skull Knight is Guts from the future.
We will truly never Skull Knight's origin from Kentaro Miura.
Great videos you made...
Also Slan call him: Your highness...
What if Danan is not the reincarnation of the former love of Gaiserik...may be is his daughter... thats why they gaze in that way.
Yup I do believe skull king/Gaiseric is skull knight because there were many hints dropped to indicate this one theory
This was a fantastic piece of work love Guts he's a beast! 👍🤙
If this channel was a class at school I'd attend everyday.
The skull knight didn't give him the sword guts took it. Also guts told him to go to casaca. Skull knight is very Crypted also with zodd he didn't wash he lost his arm but it look like he wasn't tired
Your content is awesome bro! Keep it up!
skull knight is the king, just makes sense. Void being the holy man also makes sense. since you have to go thru some king of horrible torture and loss and the willingness to give up everything.
YES! WOOOOOOO! it feels great to have suspicions confirmed. I mean its kinda obvious, the titles that supreme king gaiseric had are all applicable to skull knight, skull knight rides a horse, has a skull shaped helm,(similar to the berserker armors first helmet design), and has almost unparalleled skill in battle,
This also means that theoretically if the same thing were to happen to Guts then the form henwould take as a wraith would closely resemble his beast of darkness (which im pretty certain is a wolf, or something akin to one)
Also if im not mistaken gaiseric's current armor still has a brand of sacrifice somewhere on one its pieces (i think its somewhere near his collar hidden by one of the pualdrons)
the godhand gets replaced, its a cycle.
@Jordan’s The Goat that's because Void Is the new member already that sacrificed gaiseric's kingdom
imagine it's Guts but from the far future
AWESOME DUDE TOTALLY AWESOME 👍👍👍
Hey just a suggestion: Create more Playlists. There should be one just for Berserk content. Come on now. Make it easier to find all the videos associated with any given popular franchise. :)
Where light can't reach, Darkness comes
He is indeed a powerful being but he ultimately is just like Guts a failure in the fight against the God Hand in all the years he has fought them he has not defeated a single one of them he struggles against fate but for what he has lost everything just as Guts did I can't comprehend the will power they must possess to be able to fight so much and not desire the release of death in the face of a impossible enemies to defeat.
Most of this I got on my own except one. Thanks for filling in the Void...
Great video keep up thegood work
There’s still a couple things that perplex me.

Sucks the Mangaka died but why did he stretch the series out for 30 years??? Hopefully his best friend can finish it pretty soon
ITS KING GAISERICK!!!
SK is so cool, he got 2 videos for his character
I wonder if he is not the ""griffith"" of the relation with void
By that I mean is that he was the one who wanted control, power and a kingdome and void was his right hand man
So imagine if
When griffith got his dream he somehow put guts in jail for some reason and probably tortured
Since godhands need to sacrifice what they love the most
Void would sacrifice the population that he worked hard to creat
Is it just me but I haven’t heard one channel that covers this story point out the strong parallels between SK and Guts. It’s like the story that we are being told from start to finish is in fact a repeat story of what happened to SK.
15:25 Why did you show this image? It doesn't look like Miura.
So if void was there at the eclipse the first time when skull knight "died, then wouldnt one of the other apostles be who the sage became..
Considering this was what the guy saw before his death, I think it’s safe to say this was after the whole “talk to the magic heart thingy” part of the eclipse, and wasn’t Griffith in a similar position?
The way the manga plays out during the golden age arc, the connections between skull knight and Gaeseric is really heavy handed. Its not subtle.
Man I wish Miura was still here
I mean at this point if you deny skull knight is king gaiseric idk what to say.
Skull knight is that 🥷 that shows up late when shit hits the fan while being a badass.💀🗡🐴
Yo, I really hope, with all these Berserk vids coming out lately, the video for Guts is around an hr+ long. It's the only way to truly do him justice.
Band of the Hawks, band of the falcon is the demons
The angels are the god hand and the flash back of his woman dead is the moment his empire collapsed
SK never found a way around this until he created The Sword of Actuation).
good ipotesys, i think skull knight is pilkaff red eyes with bersk armor
whats the song in the background?

Google it. It's both, depending on translation
Kanji same so both but depending on publication print
lol he simply represents death I guess. I think thats also why guts has the berzerker armor, that just represents the darkness he already met at birth, thats why he has access to it. and death has access to it because death is literally existing in darkness if not is the incarnation of darkness, meaning his literal role/job is to bring darkness to someone when its their time to die. and maybe we see this eternal fight with the godhand because they are immortal and death isnt cool with that idea :D
i think the crown just hints that he is the king of fate aka death

an eclipse and incarnation ceremony did NOT happen at the same time Void became godhand at albion tower of conviction 1080 years ago which is when SK died in berserk armor and when Zodd was also alive Then 1000 years ago Gaiserics kingdom fell during the incarnation ceremony in which void most likely was reborn at the current tower of rebirth then 864 years before void becomes first of new godhand
I believe griffif and skull knight are more alike and void was similar to guts and in a final last ditch effort to defeat skull knight he sacrificed himself to the God hand and dethroned all former God hand members and guts will end up doing the same thing to griffif.
Interesting theory but can't see guts doing a sacrifice to the godhand
@stitch the conditions Maybe different for him, void some how dethroned all former God hand members and in order for him to that, different circumstances had to be at play other then sacrificing those you love, hatred is equally as powerful.
