Would be to cool to see where and how you collect all these references and organising them! Also how to you make custom assets for painting, like those silhouettes of tree s from previous tutorials!
These are great videos, love to see your process. Curious to know how you approach world building based on some theme. Amazing stuff. Love to see more on your approach to megastructures.
Very nice as always! One thing that that could be interesting for me to talk about is how and where these type of illustrations - concepts take part in production and how they evolve or get modified with client feedback! For example : Do you start by showing off only the rough sketch shown in the start to the client? Do you make many of those start to finish each time you need to make modifications? Do you keep all your layer for a more iterative approach, or the process is quick enough to redo the whole thing on each requests?
A good topic to cover is what separates this type of work from AI? What are you doing different to AI here? I’d also like to see you change the weather or time of day.
hey mr paick, thanks for theese vids. im wondering why when i paint in photoshop that my paintings always look blurry. is this an issue with the not enough pixels orrr
@@gavin347 hey Gavin. Often times for me it’s not having strong silhouettes in place. It could be pixels. I work 3000 pixels at 300 dpi. What the resolution you are working with?
Hi James... There's that bg music again :) You honestly do not need it man. Your voice is enough. I'm learning from you, not from your backing track. Sorry to be picky... but when you do workshops, do you have a backing music track? Why add it here? If it was a speed painting with no talking, then go for it. But not when you are teaching. It's just too distracting. Maybe I'm alone in this assessment... but anyway... still love your work :)
@@jamespaickART it really needs to turned down to the point where it isn’t competing with your voice at all. Only turn it up a fraction when you are switching to Timelapse or any portion of the vid where you aren’t talking :)
It fantastic process, it feels organic and easy to interpret and then put it to practice
Thank you so much!!!
keep it up!
Epic job
@@drawlego thank you.

thank you for the comment! I'll definitely do a video on asset creation!

@@hollowgrm oh great thought! I’ll def get into that coming up soon.
Amazing stuff, and thank you for lowering the volume of the music!
hhaha thanks! getting some more comments about music...you think its better with no music at all in the future?
