It’s not about resolving an argument, it’s about reassuring eachother on a fundamental level that you both still love each other and are invested in the relationship. The SpaceX reusable rocket is enabling a lot of entities/universities/start-ups to put satellites into orbit, entities that couldn't afford it before. The Dragon crewed spacecraft has taken away the monopoly Russia has had on people getting to orbit that Russia had for 10 years - if not for Dragon, Russia's threats about cutting off American access to crewed spaceflight would be real. Speaking of sanctions - Russia has cut off access to 2 launchers. That would really hurt the world - if SpaceX wasn't there with the capability to fill the void. For one thing, the OneWeb satellite internet service (that the UK partly owns) would be delayed for years, except now SpaceX will launch the satellites even though it competes with SpaceX's own satellite internet service. Don't worry - I've been a big fan of Jon's for years, watching Catsdown during lockdown. And a fan of both from the 1st episode of The Richardsons.
