Sorry for the wait... The steps would be the same as the video but for size XL you would start with 25 or 27 chains in the first row and for 2X you would start with 29 chains. You would continue decreasing until you hit 3 double crochets in your row (halfway point). From there, continue with the rows of 3 until when you fold it in half (from the halfway point) you have 2 rows shorter on the backside. Those two rows will be increases like the video. The only other difference is that youtu might want longer ties. So, I did 85 in the back and 75 in the front. For XL and 2X you might want 100-125 chains to make sure it's long enough. In general, I do mediums at about 15 inches long from front to back. But you can always measure your crotch area to see how long you want it. Some people like lower or higher rise. 😊

Knowing this, you can follow the steps for the back half and make it up to the halfway point of your desired length. For the front half, you can again follow the same steps, maybe increase a few more times if you want it wider. Just make the front half as long as you need to complete your total length. I hope that makes sense. If not, be sure to let me know what specifically you need help with.
Just keep repeating the same steps until the back half (thong part) is halfway. Then continue the same steps of front half until it's the total length you need.
