Just a quick, FAQ:
1)Yes we can do left handed at no additional cost
2) headstock can be flipped to the “Normal” way up
3) It takes about three months to build and deliver these guitars
Cheers :-)
I'm going to be moving next year. When I get where I'm going I will build a wood shop. I plan to start making my own guitars. I want to keep building them for myself until I'm confident in the quality. Then I'll start selling them. Limited stock, all handmade. I might even make my own pickups, since I went to school for electronics systems. We built more complicated things than guitar pickups in class.
Yay! Lefties. Time to start saving up. Pray the Japanese yen recovers some value next year.
One of the features I like about these guitars is the reverse headstock so who would want to change that I don't get it later.
@@prs149 The reversed headstock is as annoying as duckface models. Good thing it can come with proper headstock.
Thanks Rob, the only thing i didn't like about these is the reverse headstock. I checked the reverb page and they're all gone (damnit!). Guess i will have to order one.
Hey Everyone, Lee here. Thanks so much for all the kind words & support. So proud that we got to do this!! 😍😍😍
Did you see how many comments thought we were getting married? ha ha ha
Great news 🏴
@@RobChappers ha ha - i thought we were already?!
@@RobChappers that’s the only reason I’m watching, what a disappointment…. 😜
We love you guys, what a brilliant and fun team
You guys are finally getting married! Congrats, it's been a long time coming but we are so so very proud of you 2
Yes and to hear Rob is in his 1st Tri mester with the Captain’s but baby makes it even more special!! Cubans all around smoke em if ya gotem!
Great to see Chappers back on here! Don't rate that Pete bloke at all, Chappers is the Man!
Man i was just rewatching old videos of Rob and the Captain and now they have a new video together again I LOVE THESE TWO!
literally same. haven't watched them in some time now, but the last couple weeks i got back into it. now this!
The best pair for the Andertons videos.
Chappers needs that hair back. Who took it?
Yes I often re-watch the old videos especially the Christmas editions and when they threw a guitar out the window to see if a soft case would protect it. Of course there comparison videos are unmatched. Love these guys.
do you know he have controversy
I just wanted to say a big thank you to everyone at Chapman Guitars for helping too make this dream come true, I couldn't be more proud and it's down to you guys. Also thank you to every player out there who has supported us over the past 12 years. Lastly there's a second video over at the Chapman RUclips channel if you want to see more!
Congratulations to you and the team! Impressive! Hope at some point the mlb vil make a returen, have been looking for the light blue-natural-light blue for ages. Would be cool to bring them back
Rob !!! those are so badass tone machines!!!!! how can I get one now????? I've already checked reverb
What an amazing journey and an excellent milestone! 🎉❤
hey Rob how about offering us a lest one lefty model 😢
Haven't been this excited about a new guitar in a long time!
Still remember when they had announced they had a British made line, and then the manufacturer retired on them. Good to see they were able to get them made. Beautiful guitars.
Thanks dude, couldn’t be more proud - by the way I took the blue one home :-)
@@RobChappers LOL. You just had to.
@@RobChappers I don't blame you for taking it home. The sound is woody, electric and works for me!
lmfao
They didn't retire 🤣 Check KDHs most recent Chapman vid. You'll see. It's smoke & mirrors from someone with little to no integrity.
So nice just to see Chappers and The Captain back together again. It feels like it’s been so long! When I knew nothing about gear I watched you guys religiously. I have ADD and I think I would’ve been bored trying to find demos of gear and information anywhere else. You guys always managed to make every minute so entertaining, and I never felt like you were trying to sell me something, because you were always so honest.
Thanks so much man!
As much as I miss the gear comparison videos, this duo is the reason I came to both channels, and still something I love to see.
Victory is Life!
KDH has a great point about this .
@Daniel R He builds his rep punching up for subscribers. What a shitty way to build a fan base. Guitarist get enough haters without this jealous beta.
Was it only me who had one of those self reflection moments when they talked about guys and girls in their 20's and now in their 30's who have grown up with the brand? The old Anderton's videos with Rob kick started my love affair with the instrument again, and I voted on and purchased the original ML3 Traditional. Now I'm in my 30's and these models look incredible and definitely speak to me as someone who craves the next level from Chapman Guitars. Can't wait to get my hands on one ❤🔥
I'm happy for you, Rob! Met you once at Thomann and it was one of those encounters that only last 3 minutes but have a massive life impact.
Dude that means a lot to me, thanks for your support man :-)
SO AWESOME! CONGRATS!
Dude, thanks bro, you absolute legend :-)
So, so proud of you guys. You deserve all of your success, they look and sound amazing. Well done
It's nice to have The Captain representing intermediate level guitar playing.
haven't you done ''made in England'' guitars previously? did they fail cos I can't find one anywhere. they were supposed to be the ''best of the best'', same as these? is this just another try? I don't get it, for the price I'd stump for an established high end guitar before ordering one of these to never see it.
Hi Steve, yes unfortunately the previous workshop didn’t work out - I have spoken about this before. So we took a step back, found a new workshop and have re-launched, just sent the first set of orders off for manufacturing and I’ll be filming results in a few months time.
We use “UK Guitar Builders”, they also manufacture Seth Baccus and PJD.
We have a dedicated line and team there.
Congratulations Chappers and the Captain! It's awesome to see how far the company has come and excited to see what you guys put out. Been watching since 2013 when I wanted a Jackson V in high school haha. Glad to see all the years of work have payed off. Hope the future holds more great things for you.
Good to see you two together again!
Congratulations Rob, Lee and everyone at Chapman Guitars. It’s a fantastic achievement and a testament to your hard work, dedication and integrity. 🤘🏻👍🎸🤘🏻👍🎸
More than guitars i am happy to see you both together, remind me of good old days, still watch those old challenge videos
Congratulations guys. My heart skipped a beat when you mentioned the 9 string V.
We can make them left-handed as well 🤘🏽
good job on supporting the british manufacturers
Congrats to my friends across the pond. Long live Chappers & The Captain. Long live Chapman guitars. And, Long live the King.
Love you two together in videos, honestly got me through some difficult times watching old gear videos. Glad to see you two together
I remember how this went last time.
So good to see you together again and congrats on this huge evolution of CapChap!!
Rob, Lee those look bloody incredible looking guitars. Congrats guys what a great journey to get to this point very happy for you both.
I’ve been watching your videos since you first started making videos before Chapman Guitars existed, before you started working with Lee; you were working on the Green Ghostfret; You were propositioned by a dude to help start a brand and look what you and Lee have accomplished now. Awesome dude!!!😅
For that money, you can have any pick of great brands that will hold their value much better than these...
You guys definitely NAILED IT! Great sounding guitars and the looks are killer.
Congrats, Rob and Lee! Those guitars look and sound amazing! You guys definitely should have more videos. There is chemistry there!
What an amazing journey you two have been on. Excited for you and we think it’s brilliant to have these custom guitars made in England, congratulations!
the prices for these are out of this world!!!!
I'm nowhere near being sponsored, but if I was, I would love to work with Chapman and Andertons.
Love all this content and it's only been a few days since I found it
"The guitars are new but the licks are always the same" 🤣 when Lee said that I almost died laughing.
The spec and build quality are very, very close to the ML1 Pro Hybrid, yet it is 5 x the price... definitely a new direction
They look and sound amazing guys, congratulations, this is huge for the UK in my opinion. I hope I guys sell a ton. There isn't that many electric makers in the UK, at least I haven't heard of many.
Just bought a Rainstorm ML1 Moder Standard yesterday and really enjoying it for the limited run blue/green poplar burl look, and for a "budget" guitar on offer it is great overall! I'm an american visiting the UK and it's cool to see you guys get British-made guitars going!
FINALLY! Been following Chapman Guitars for quite some time now and this seems like such a great step forward! Congrats!
Congrats from Italy ppl! Amazing guitars with an amazing sound!
Nice to see all 5 of you together Rob, Captain, Bea, Pete, Dig. John.!!
I feel very privileged to accept delivery of my brand new chap man guitar. Thank you 😮
They really look amazing, I especially love the light blue one. More importantly those are the best sounding new guitars I've heard all year. Congratulations!
Considering the sound comes from the amp…um, ok.
@@Timbo6669 Hmmm. Great reply.
I've owned chapmans for quite some time, pretty much from the introduction of the Pro range, and having just bought a Standard ML1 hybrid (which I'm very impressed with, for the price the neck is phenomenal) I'm SUPER excited for these, hopefully I'll manage to get my grubby little hands on one to try it out!
I remember the first few attempts of trying to make an English or premium line of Chapman guitars. I'll always remember the first English made guitar by Jaden Rose and it was that green ghost fret. Congrats!
Congratulations guys. That was no small feat I’m sure. I’m an American, but I’m happy that you guys were able to build some great guitars in England. I imagine it’s very difficult/expensive to make instruments in the west.
I've got my ML1 Hot Rod sitting next to me that I bought years ago. Was the third one sold in the united states. So happy to see Chapman have a custom shop line. Only wish I had more money to place an order :)
Good move! I think distribution is less of an concern when going with upper range british made guitars.
You two played a huge roll in me getting back into guitar after an almost 10 year hiatus after having to sell ALL my gear for personal reasons, I came across the andertons channel in 2019 and after it gave me the urge to play I went to guitar center with no money just to be able to play again.. 3.5 years later I have acquired all the gear I wished I had as a teenager and I play daily and love it more than ever. Thank you guys😊
A guitarists dream in the making right here!! 🔥 so many of us can only dream of making a guitar of such beauty!
I live in South Africa, and I'll probably never be able to afford one of these instruments. Yet, I congratulate you from the bottom of my heart.
Years ago, a controversial presenter on a very high-profile car show said something along the lines of "It's true, we no longer build great cars in Britain. In fact, it seems we no longer build great... anything."
It's time to change that, lads.
Look like nice guitars, obviously price needs to reflect UK cost of manufacture but 3.5k is a lot of dough. PRS core territory. Be interesting if these work out.
Consistently great brand, exciting direction- always innovating
Pete friggin rocks!! My ears perked up as soon as he broke into that first lick!
I bought an ML1 modern recently and I love it, Chapman guitars are something a bit different. Would love a UK built one!
Super cool seeing this line come back, they look absolutely fantastic
I am very happy and weirdly proud too that you guys have stuck to it and carved yourselves your very own, or rather, 'our' very own dragon slaying, tea drinking, queue joining, googly bowling guitar from Mighty Blighty. I will proudly shred an upper lip stiffening rendition of Jerusalem that will blow the head off your 'not quite cold enough' pint of Lancaster Bomber when i get mine!! Very well done indeed you lot. I look forward to seeing your names in the new year honours list, obviously!! 🏴🍻🙏
Looks a lot like G&L binded guitars. I had one just like the red/orange one there. Same color and same type of binding - looks almost identical. Nice work (Whoever actually made them)
Thanks man these are made by “UK Guitar Builder” in the north of England, they also make Seth Bacchus and PJD :-)
Was just watching the Chapman page video; congrats and hell yeah !!! All my love brother 🤟
Let's Talk private 🌞🌞🤘🤘😉🌞
Bought a Chapman last year. I got the best guitar in town hands down.
They sound superb in that first track! Nice one.
Hmmm, is it just me who's having a deja vu moment? Didn't we have something similar launched at NAMM 2018? That said, thet do look and sound awesome........proper bad ass.
Yes, sir, we did launch something similar awhile back, but unfortunately that workshop did not work out. Now we have a new Workshop, these are made by “UK Guitar Builder” in the north of England, they also make Seth Bacchus and PJD :-)
Congrats guys- look and sound fantastic - best of luck with the line. Make more videos- they have been fantastic over the years
Absolutely stunning. Whats great, that the guitars sounded radicaly different in hands of Pete, Bea, Chapers and D I G I T A L John, meaning, they are dynamic and expressive.
Super cool.
And super nice to see relaxed Captain and Chappers in one video together
They look and sound really nice.
Awesome news fellas, congratulations on your level UP!!!
Miss Chappers at The Andertons TV
The last run of UK models ended up being “relic’d” and sold for 1/3 of their original price… don’t think I’ll gamble £3k+ on something with so little resale value. These look nice but that’s that’s Fender Custom shop dollar, for something nobody has even held or seen in the flesh….
Hi, we actually just closed production on our first run (Orders came in quick), so you’ll be able to see the new guitars with people holding them “In the flesh” soon.
its been almost 11 months. Were they built? Curious to see demo's and people playing them who got that first run of orders. Did you guys video anything? @@RobChappers
I just have to say real quick, I havnt been tuned into the youtube guitar chanels in a while and its nice to see some news, I really love the colors on all the guitars :) Looks great. Keep it up
// Need more captain shredding
Having been around since like 2008 I'm so proud of you both! Cheers!!
So happy Chappers and the Captain are back!!! Didn't seem right to review Chapman guitars with the man himself absent!
well this just threw a spanner in my next guitar purchase plans, that quilt top is a thing of glory
As long as they don't cost an arm and a leg, like the previous attempt - glad to welcome them :)
I’ve enjoyed watching you guys for years now , all the guys at Andersons are so entertaining and I’ve learned loads just from watching you mess around with gear . These guitars look stunning fair play but I always thought the chapmans did look great. Keep it up guys you are needed by so many people ! On a side note , Lee’s playing has gotten so good since I first started watching you lot, Robs always been awesome but you could tell Lee was a bit of a nervous beginner in the early days but recently you can tell he’s putting in the practice
Great news! Long may it continue.
The Captain's son can really play, man .. great tones
Every guitar I've ever spec'd out has been mahogany for the body with a maple top. You just can't beat it.
Oh these are... just... awesome!!!! Well, time to hit up the couch for change!
These are really good looking and good sounding guitars. The new colors are great. I would love to see a 7 string guitar and a 7 string baritone with a tremolo system. I'm playing the ml1 modern baritone storm burst and I love it. The neck pickup was a bit too dark for my taste and I adjusted it a little bit. This will not be my last guitar from Chapman. I hope I can try out the new models next year, when I will visit Thomann in Germany.
As a yank im so glad they used the British pups! If i purchased one of these i would want it to be Brit, top to bottom.
Congratulations guys. “Made in Britain” you make us all proud. Just wish I could afford that beautiful “tigers eye”. Beautiful indeed.
Congrats Rob and Lee, fabulous instruments. Mine's ordered, can't wait. Now, what to tell She Who Must Be Obeyed......! 😁
Thank you so much for trusting us to build you something super special :-)
Well after these house renos are over guess I have a new chapman piggy bank to build up for one of these. good show guys!
So what's different than the other UK built guitars you have made over the years and then sold at dramatic discounts later? And why would I buy a overprice guitar with a Chapman logo instead of buying a hand built British made guitar from the manufacturer for far less money just like every other British made line you have ever done.
Hi Stu, I’m going to answer this because I think you’ve been misled.
Respectfully, we never got as far as making Custom/English guitars to sell before - we made a series of Promotional prototypes which we displayed at NAMM - some of these have now been sold as B Stock. We ended our relationship with the workshop that made those because they wanted to sell up (Fact)… we took a step back and started again.
The new English Workshop guitars are not overpriced, they sit in line with other brands with equal spec… these are custom built for each customer at “UK Guitar Builders”, where we have a dedicated line.
It’s the same facility that makes Seth Baccus and PJD…
That’s where we are now, we’ve already taken a bunch of orders and they’ll be in production soon.
Thanks for watching.
i miss the hot rod so much. i used to own one but had to sell away for financial reasons but man i wish it is still available as I'm older and working now
Awesome!!!!! Congratulations to you both!
I'd consider one if I ever get a chance to try one - especially if it didn't have a reverse headstock.
Well done. Best of luck with the whole endeavour.
And great lead at the start Captain Birdseye!
We're getting my kid his first guitar and it really seems like Chapman guitars has the best guitars in the $300 to $500 range. Maybe I'll get him a beginner ML and get myself a English ML.
Finally. I was on the list years ago with lots of promise, but nothing until now. Well done..
That is so cool. Congratulations!
The woods are insane! ❤
great news and congrats! I remember seeing an english made chapman explorer shape that was a sick green color way back in the day. cheers
I Have ALWAYS LOVED Chapman Guitars.. If I Could Afford it, i would Get one YESTERDAY!!!!!
My Chapman came with this ...plus 10° angled headstock...set in neck...3 Seymour Duncan pick-ups...ebony board... stainless steel frets... Walnut cap...plus the hardshell case, for less than half the price
Also .. it's always a good day when the Chappers and the Captain are together 🤘🏿😎👹🤓🤘🏿!!🍻🍻 Getcha Pull 🥃-CHEERS 🍻
Congratulations!
Congrats they look stunning
Man, I miss the old videos of you two playing together!
Good to see you guys together again!
