I have a guilty pleasure of trying to find the worst wincon I can get away with in Lotus Field. I had a streak some months ago of giving opponents an Ultimatum pile with Vraska and Vorinclex and seeing how many people I could trick into eating 18 poison counters.
re: Gut Shot vs. Necro from the recent podcast episode; What if I wait for you to cast Tendrils for the win, and then Gut Shot you in response, then you were at least forced to show one more Pact of Negation, right ?
at that point the necro player has all spels with flash, a stacked manapool and 10 something cards in hand, even without a pact, they can dig using valakut
57:18 with the mana floating you could've tapped everything, replay the boseiju and tap it again to get 10 total and play the omniscience, then play the balaged to get pour over the pages, no?
It was actually before Archdruids Charm. The community felt that it was a little clunky/win-more. It was specially added just to beat Sheoldred and then people found ways to beat Sheoldred without it.
Love the updates. I like having peer into the abyss in the main and sideboard. Wishing for it with a omniscience in play beats ashiok pretty well. Weaker to narset however
I watch every video you specifically do! Ive recently built your sorinbrand list for modern. And its a bit rough vs thalia in game 1 i don't think i can win with a g1 thalia in play. Unless im not seeing the line
@@TheEPICStorm thats very true! I just picked it up i have about 10 reps with the deck won 9 sets of the 10 and im really happy with the build thats what game 2 and 3 with the snapbacks are for! Love your content! One of my favorite creators out there along with bosh and phil!
I was wondering what you think of the main deck Brazen Borrower people have been running recently? I like it in the sideboard, but haven’t been a big fan of watering down my main deck for the sake of Archdruid’s Charm targets, or cutting something like Impulse for that card in the main deck
@@TheEPICStormimo it’s a meta call, if Phoenix is maining Ashiok and you expect to run into Amalia you benefit from maining Borrower. If you’re facing control or Vamps a lot it’s less relevant game 1.
@@TheEPICStorm yeah possibly. Im playing a totally different build with md atraxa, chandra, only 1 petition, and a dromoka. Im running second dromoka, niv mizzet parun, zacama, and a sphinx of final in sideboard. The list still combos really fast, albeit sometimes with a couple extra steps, but i dont lose to stonbrain/ashiok type hate pieces. Think for sideboard 2-3 satyr are really good for speed and most decks are boarding out removal. If they leave it in it slows them down and if they cast it it slows them down. Lastly, 2 copies of narset’s reversal are insane for the phoenix and control matchups. Reversel on your own pour in response to their counter will win on the spot in my experience.

You could Pact or just cast another Tendrils

I like the chandra version. I wind up being a control deck sometimes while digging for action, and she gives me great removal and value.
I like her too, but right now I think Approach is sadly better

Think for sideboard 2-3 satyr are really good for speed and most decks are boarding out removal. If they leave it in it slows them down and if they cast it it slows them down.

@@TheEPICStorm disagree. They have no answers for a t3 dromoka, and if you untap with it you annihilate them with your archdruid charms.
