I would say that is the highest collar ELVIS ever had. He stands out so predominantly in that galaxy of stars and they all want to speak to him. ELVIS can be heard saying hello how you going man as there was too many names to remember. What an incredible talented young man ELVIS was in this video and it only got better and better for him breaking all entertainment records eg the pure gold attendance belt he was presented by the International Hotel
I never dreamed in a million years Elvis would pass away so quickly and so young, I truly thought I would see him play down under in Australia one day !!
Wow ! A great occasion to cherish Elvis's awesome performance & his explicit charisma, style & love for God & humanity as King of Rock & Roll & the greatest entertainer !🔥🔥🔥👍👍👍♥️♥️❤🌹🌹🌹
I've seen this before but never tire of watching it again. What must Elvis have felt like, to be admired by all those stars who he had admired in his early years. I wish so much that he could have lived longer, to receive the acclaim that was already coming from the entertainment industry and the media who for so long had written him off as a hasbeen, poking fun at his movies, not taking him seriously despite his voice becoming better as years went by. It was only us, his fans, who believed in him, knew he was destined for legendary status as time went on.
After the Aloha concert, he needed a new direction musically, not the continuous grind of Vegas shows and touring around the country. Unfortunately, he had a terrible manager when (IMO), he needed a mentor. He had no direction artistically and he had many long-standing personal problems that went unaddressed. Many of his so-called fans have placed him in on a pedestal and prefer to ignore he had a raging drug addiction. He slid downward from '73 (after the Aloha cancer) until he died with many drugs in his system. You can see this in his concerts and if you do not, you are in denial, or blind. The majority of his health problems were due to drug abuse -- this is FACT. He died in seclusion at Graceland, a drug addict. Those around him for years knew this. Fans who discount those people as leeches are looking for a way to deny Elvis was a very troubled man. I am age 65, a big fan since age 6, thanks to a brother 20 years my senior who introduced me to his music. Elvis himself said you cannot live up to an IMAGE. Elvis was a poor boy from The South, not well-educated, who need some guidance through the fame and mentoring as an artist, I think. Musically, I am conviced he could have been even bigger if he'd been well.
@@danc3693 You have no idea and as a fan of so long, you should be much better informed. He was not a drug addict, he needed pharmaceutical drugs to keep him alive, but sadly he overdosed himself in the belief that it would be better if he took more than what was prescribed. If you can't say something nice like all the other comments here, don't say anything at all.
@@Patracat In my opinion, you’re kidding yourself, but I truly hope you don’t care much about what I think, because after all I’m a stranger to you. Sometime people get too hot and bothered about what others think about their favorite celebrity, something not that important in the bigger context of the world. By the way, I think I’m plenty well informed and a reasonably critical thinker. People who actually know me and that I respect in my life see me that way, which is what counts, to me. Simply because I don’t agree with your possibly rose-colored view of Elvis the man doesn’t mean I “should be better informed”. I look at any idol worshipped figure - Elvis, Marilyn Monroe, Michael Jackson, a few others - and there’s always a large percentage of their fans in denial about their idol’s imperfections. Many have their own insecurities, and dysfunctional upbringings which creates a void that idolizing a famous person fills. The famous person is not known to them personally, of course, so a fan can simply decide what sort of person they are, based on whatever they imagine or distort of reality. One only has to look at those fans' posts here in YT and many other places, fans posting gross exaggerations of their idol’s talents, goodness, looks, etc. Some Elvis fans are almost scary in their accolades, considering him to be on a near Christ-like level. I’m always amazed how much people equate great talent and physical attractiveness with being an overall fine human being they’ve invented in their own mind. By the way, I truly am a big Elvis fan of almost 60 years. He could’ve looked like a troll and been a serial killer but the fact would remain he was a vocalist in a category by himself, IMO. He was essentially a good man but like all of us, he had flaws. You can’t come from his background and hit the level of fame he did when barely a man and not have some internal conflicts. I think it was unfortunate he was a recluse much of the time and I don’t believe he surrounded himself with people who would have been excellent collaborators, mentors and inspirational to his creative process. Just MY opinion of course.
@danc3693 I think u hit it directly on the head in yr analysis of elvis. I too have been a lifelong fan since 1960 n believe the level of fame he reached would have eaten anyone alive TCB MAN👍👍

Cary Grant at that point was still one of the biggest movie stars on the planet as far as fame, and Elvis and him were known fans of each other’s work !
I wish he or another actor or actress would have grabbed Elvis, freed him from Parker's claws and helped him start a serious movie career. We all wish, don't we, such a tragic missed opportunity 😥

It was a short list and Elvis and Marilyn being only some of that few. Even stars were star struck, as it is evident here in this video. I wish I was there 😥
Sammy Davis said you could be in a room filled with Hollywood top stars, but when Elvis came in, he was the room. He said people including men acted like school kids they were so excited
Looks like Elvis resorted back to his old hairstyle just for the party. And his leather suit looks like the one he used in his 1968 TV Special. Am I right? It would be interesting to learn if he switched back when not in front of media cameras.
Isn't it awesome inspiring to see some serious people just fawning over Elvis?? Wow, this must've played some serious games with his head because this all came out of left field for all intents and purposes if you think about it😮
This look back makes me so sad. Elvis was so much more outgoing before he starting abusing downers. And, I hope that Priscilla was allowed to be with him? I just finished Larry Gellers book and questions were raised that he had blood cancer. If so he would not have lasted much longer than he did. Praise and raise him to his Lord and to be with his mother and later with Lisa, Vernon and all the rest of his gang.
Hi Vali! Do you know which DVD set has this Elvis after party in the best quality? Also is this the full length of this footage? I hope Baz comes out with a release asap. Have a great weekend! Tanya
