  • In this video, I’ll be taking you on a journey to the Hundred Acre Wood from my Middle-Of-Nowhere Land. My dad and I drove all the way to Riverside Studios in London, England to see an afternoon performance of the new #WinnieThePooh stage adaptation called ‘Winnie the Pooh: The New Musical Stage Adaptation’.
I was very excited to see what the show like in puppet-like form (nearly similar to The Book of Pooh).
I wasn’t able to record the show itself because of theatre show reasons, but I did manage to record the Curtain Call at the end.
The tickets I bought for the performance were the meet-and-greet tickets for after the Pooh show where you actually say ‘hello’ to Winnie the Pooh and his friends on the actual stage. I was very happy to have met all the animal friends.
I had a look around the gift shop afterwards before we left for home.

    ABOUT THE SHOW:
Disney's Winnie the Pooh: The New Musical Stage Adaptation made its world premiere in 2021 at Theatre Row in New York City, garnering rave reviews from Entertainment Weekly, Time Out, Mommy Poppins, New York Theatre Guide & more. The show received both Drama Desk and OBA nominations.
Following New York, the show transferred to Mercury Theatre Chicago for a 12-week run, before returning to New York for an encore engagement. The show has now toured across the United States, including a six-week holiday season engagement at the Kirk Douglas Theatre in Los Angeles.
    ABOUT ROCKAFELLER:
Rockefeller Productions carefully crafted Winnie the Pooh’s first theatrical outing with inspiration from Disney’s remarkable films and A.A.Milne’s original text. The production was written and directed by Jonathan Rockefeller (The Very Hungry Caterpillar Show, Paddington Gets in a Jam, Sesame Street the Musical).
The show features many of the original songs written by Richard M. and Robert B. Sherman, who composed most of the music for the Winnie the Pooh franchise over the years. The puppets were lovingly crafted within the walls of Rockefeller Productions by a talented and dedicated team of artists, designers, patternmakers, builders, welders and fabricators; all influenced by Disney's seminal character designs with nods to E.H.Shephard’s original illustrations.
With a new orchestral score by Nate Edmondson, the show’s music pays homage to Winnie the Pooh’s musical history; including, the 1980’s animated series The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh; The Tigger Movie (2000); and Piglet’s Big Movie (2003). Also included in the show are Pooh’s ‘hums’ (songs that Pooh makes up himself) originally written by author A.A.Milne.

Hi, thank you so much for your review of the show. We are on the South Coast of England and the show is now at our local theatre. Tickets were purchased last Christmas for my grandsons and they will be seeing it at the weekend with their mumma's. 👏
I especially wanted to find out what merchandise would be available so your video has been really helpful. I think it's amazing that you came all the way from America to see the show in London. Thanks again! 😁
