- Download software from (Google Drive): drive.google.com/file/d/0BwEX...
Then extract the .rar file.
Open EOSinfo.exe and connect your Canon DSLR camera in your PC with cable and power ON the camera.
Done!

Just bought a Canon EOS 70d off eBay And will be buying cable even before it arrives so I can download and check it out. Will definitely leave a review and a ration for cannon for not including it in the built-in functions then. But already gave a like because this guy is informative and well-spoken. And can't understand who would dislike this video unless jealous of his camera not being theirs. Should have to leave a reason before being able to just simply be negative. Hint-Hint RUclips.

Thanks, Chris! I just got a great deal on an EOS T2i and so was very curious to see just how "used" it was. First clue: the firmware is still at 1.0.8, but the shutter count is only 6215! I think this camera spent most of the last ten years sitting in a closet. Gotta love that.

Thanks! Still works in 2020. Just used it in Windows 10 on my T4i. I'm surprised that in 7 years with the camera, my shutter count is only around 4700.

Thanks, great video, software pointed to above on the Google drive works well and does exactly as it says in the video. FYI, I am the original owner of Canon 40D that I bought when canon 50D had just been released (chose 40D for price and performance that met my need, still an overkill). Anyway, that has been sitting in the closet for a long time and I just took it out and out of curiosity wanted to see how many shutter clicks I had done. Well, no other place could I find the info (all other software etc. were no longer valid, page not found, etc.) so came across this video and voila, quick and easy. My shutter count was 18k btw, so plenty of life left in this camera that will probably last me a few more years (given my below average photography skills and the iphone phenomena ) :) Thanks again.

Thank you! Will give it a try. It is crazy indeed that it is not easy to find out the shutter count number. At some point I thought perhaps the way you count the files can help but one can have a custom system and forget what one :)

Awesome made my day 5550 shutter count on my new used T4i camera. I had found out that there was such a thing after I bought it and was a bit concerned how much it was used. Not much from what it looks like. Thank you. :) I was so happy I went to check on my T3 and only 2700 counts WOW I had bought this one used as well. lol. People don't take too many pictures that's for sure.

Thanks! so easy and worked great for 6D. Had to disable Wi-Fi on camera first before camera would connect to computer, after I did that, worked within seconds.
