Vice News finds out how Filipinos survive or if they can cope at all, as the pandemic changes the way humanity thrives and connects.

There is always something good in anything and even if we have bad internet at least we have beautiful nature/wild life and some kind people.
Just to clarify about this comment. 1. I do not romanticize bad things like poverty, corrupt government and the like( maybe I wasn't clear about "always something good in anything". 2. I get your point that this mentality might hurt me in the end. 3. Even if people are living in miserable condition I know that they still have hope in their eyes and that everything has a solution. 4. I cannot fix the flaws of the world and it's inherent evil because without that their won't be any inherent good.
I hope that this clears your mind and just please try to understand others and their mentality because were all different, hope all of us will be open-minded and not jump into conclusions because that's the worst mentality.

Unfortunately, they are still very new so their services are still in-development and spotty, and for sure the big boys are gonna do everything in their power to stop them. There's a factors that affects the internet in the Philippines. not blaming the telcos alone... The first is the geography, we know that philippines consist of 7000+ islands making it difficult to construct fixed networks. The other one is the lacking of towers because of the bureaucratic red taping where numerous permits that requires so many signatures to build a single tower in different location and the approval runs for months..So less cell tower catering a large number of user leads to slower connection.
