    Ok Interesting. I found it quite entertaining, watching all the mods to save weight so you could load it up. I rode up to Tuk back in June. I timed my trip to be on or near the Arctic Circle on the 21st. Got to Tuk a couple of days later Had a coffee turned around and rode home via Alaska.
    Hope you enjoyed your ride. Mine was amazing.

      @@CLP2102 nothing wrong, just the nature of the 180° crank. I wish it had a 270° crank like a T7. Those things sound amazing!

    Just found the channel today. This bike looks amazing. It makes me want to go buy and build a similar Versys 650. Definitely going to be watching this series. Great work man.

    I'm a fan of Shinko 705 tires, they're good on road, good enough on gravel most of the time. You're right about not having many choices for 17" wheels.
    Great job fabricating all the mounts 👍

    My boss has almost 60K miles on his 2016 Versys 650 with no issues, just the usual service intervals. He has to commute 140 miles a day..

      @onemilemore541 . Late dinner watching the video. Excellent. Off to the actual ride video. I've just had 3 days of welding projects. But I'm taking my truck camper with my quad and Rally 300. Staying in Alaska till end of September.

      Thanks so much! I’m honestly not sure about the factory luggage. I’ve never looked closely at the way they mount to the bike. I’ve always thought it’s cool how they latch on without a bunch of bars going everywhere. I suppose worst case scenario, you could wrap a ratchet strap around them to hold them on. I had to do that with a KTM I had in the past.

    In hindsight, would the shinko up front have been sufficient?

      That’s a really good question. I think it would’ve been OK but the TKC 80 was definitely better. I’m pretty confident I could’ve done it on the 705 but I’d probably have to be more careful. thanks for watching!

    They make a Tractionator RallZ for that bike? I use one in my 500x and they last quite a long time. And very aggressive lug.

    From past experience with a KLR650 something tells me your rear sub frame is going to be your weak point.

      Yeah, that seems to be a weak link on a lot of bikes. Especially when they’re overloaded… The Versys subframe seems somewhat stout, and I really try not to overload. Definitely something to keep in mind. Thanks for the comment!
