Linda Ronstadt, no other voice like hers. 🥰.
I've been in love with this woman since I was in Jr. High School in the early 70's!
Join the crowd....
I was so lucky in my life to have known someone who could have been her twin. She has passed away now but I have fond memories of the nights we were together.
It will never get better than this. She is the best of the very best
I’ve listened since I first heard Different Drum and have never been able to hear a better singing voice
I think Anna Netrebko beats her.
Everytime I listen to and watch her sing....it tales me back...What a beauty!!
Linda Ronstadt,my favourite female artist of all times ,what she has done to the industry and work after retirement,of course, her amazing voice and live performance is spectacular, been following her for the half of the century, blessed to be one of her fans and take care and all the best,Linda ❤
Today singers could not hold a candle to her
What a beauty, great voice, no tattoos, piercings, just pure sex appeal.
The older I get, the more I listen to modern singers, the more I understand the greatness of Linda.
Amen
Yes. I was talking to an old college friend and she just said there is no modern girl singer she likes. I am the same. Lol said it was because their voices were aided. I just thought their voices were crap to begin with. Adele is our modern saint and I don't like her voice. It is one-note to me: leaden and lumpen. Linda, by contrast could and did sing everything: folk, country, rock, Tamla Motown, big ballad, opera and with grace and appropriateness every step of the way. She was The Eagles: "Girl Singer"
She a foundation doin what founders had to do
Why compare?
@@lewisc215 yeah there is absolutely no comparison with ANYONE.
There will never be a better voice!
Today’s singers couldn’t carry her sheet music into a recording session. She’s the BEST.❤️❤️❤️
Too damn right she is the best this planet will hear if it lasts for 100 million years
Amen!!
You wouldn't find a better pair of lungs anywhere...
Truer words have never been spoken 😉
They can hardly say; Turn the auto tuner on.
Perfection,Linda has a brilliant voice and talent,👌👏💫xx.
+ she was sexy.
Linda defined generations of music 🎶 always the best of the best Amazing talent didn’t matter what she performed she made her own. There’s only one Linda Ronstadt, I have listened to other singers tried sing a song of hers they don’t even come close. This is what real talent looks and sounds like ❤her music.
Besides her unbelievable talent was as good a backing band as you are likely to see anywhere.
Early on was guys who formed the Eagles.
Love it 😍 thank heaven
The most fantastic voice I've ever ever heard
With Waddy yes. Linda owned every song she did and this is no exception.
And Andrew Gold !!
She'll be 75 tomorrow (July 15th.). So glad to know she is still entertaining us today.
The musician tree that branches from her is second to none.
Just 12 days older than I am - but hell, i like mature women ...............
She still has a chance with me hahaha
She sang each song like a young lady who suddenly, much to her surprise, found herself on stage, with a band, and decided to go for it. Just belted it out.
Well put. She is the best!
Yes she did. She gave every song and every performance her all. No prima donna crap.
I love this song ❤❤❤😘😘
I love Linda's voice. Great artist! I have alot of her vinyl record albums that I purchased in the 70's and 80's. ❤
A Voice like no other, Incredible!
A singular voice that will never come again.
Wow now heres a concept. Great vocals, no auto tune. No ridiculous costumes to distract from a great vocalist. Love you Linda
Linda was and still is a beauty she will never be missed,we have her music.
Her smile at the start could bring world peace
Saw her live in '75, and I'm still in love!
I saw her in '76 and I still reminisce about that concert. Those were the days my friend.
Saw her live in 75 too. Short red polka dot dress and a voice!
Saw her in 77 & 80
OMG Linda... .you're killing me still. A goddess in every way w the voice of an angel.
No words for the chills this song gives me, she was the real deal
Her music brings back the times. Always loved her.
YES ! Linda Ronstadt is one of the BEST . That new gal Sierra Ferrell is very good also. So happy some of the younger folks ( Sierra, Billy Strings, Molly Tuttle, etc) are bringing this music back and keeping it alive ! Flash & trash only last so long ...........REAL TALENT lives on forever.
I found Sierra Ferrell a few months ago and damn if she isn't from my home county. I binge her stuff routinely and Molly and Billy are fantastic.
Exactly. Don't forget the other Sierra...Sierra Hull on mandolin. Stand by to have your mind blown.
Nope . THE best. Didn't hurt that she was drop dead gorgeous. As we used to say back in the day, "Hubba hubba..."
I love you, Linda ❤
I heard this amazing voice when I was 14 years old. Finally got the chance to witness her in concert on October 9th, 1980 for my 20th birthday. I still have the concert jersey and admission ticket, row 34. Cost was $12.50. One of my most prized possessions. Would gladly give them to her just to see the photo of her smiling as she reminisce of the good ole days. Thank you Linda Ronstadt for the many years of glorious entertainment.
Ray,
I too am the class of 78, but never heard of Linda until last year. 2020. I guess I had my head buried in motor oil during the 70's.
What a Mesmerizing Beauty.
I fremember the song "Different Drum" with the "Stone Ponies......I woulda been around 10/11 years old. I thought she was the purtiest thing I'd ever seen!! Loved her singing too!!
Unbelievable talent!!
I forgot how much I loved her
Linda was one of a kind..Loved her and still do. She is kind, smart, and gracious. I was fortunate enough to see her in concert in Hartford CT in the seventies.
Pure music, no gimmicks.
Linda at the height of her cuteness... but the beginning of her powers!
This is a great song, and a great artist. I wish my grandchildren would listen. Someday…
I was a teen in the 60's. We had so much fun. We would dance and dance. They were fun yrs.
Didn't need two dozen dancers marching in lockstep around her. Simple, hot and honest!
What a great great great happy song.
my first "celebrity crush"...saw her on TV with the Stone Ponies & thought she was the purtiest thing I'd ever seen!!
Powerful voice, great range, along with a talented group of musicians. When you have all that, no need for pyrotechnics, gay backup dance troupes, and other such nonsense. Linda in her prime during the late 70's was the real deal...today's so-called "singers" shouldn't even be in the same room with her. Glad I got to see many of her shows during that time period.
Amen!
Just pure talent and no artificial back up. Like today's musicians all flash bang and no talent.
well said
If the backup dance troupes weren't 'gay', would that be ok with you?
@@normanacree1635 Doesn't matter. Gay or straight, she didn't need all that crap...just her voice and some great musicians behind her. Simple and sublime.
it doesn't get any better.
i am 70 years old and grew up with this voice....still makes me tingle to listen to her....
My gosh this gal was absolutely adorable and talented on top of it. It was sheer fun to be in my twenties following her and all the other cool top game musicians at that time. Music will never be as good as it was then.
This concert appeared in my daily feed and oh am I glad it did. It was this song in particular that really caught my ears. Andrew counts it in with four guitar scratches and we’re off and runnin! I wasn’t too familiar with the origins of this song but I did search out its authors and original release from the fifties. Linda in so many ways defined the term “country rock.” She’s just irresistible - fun to listen to and this band she’s got..well..they’re damn TOP NOTCH. Love it!
Both Knock Outs,,, the Song & diffenetly the Women singing it,,,,, Nothing like it😃
Agree!
Wow, wow, wow! Terrific singing by Linda and great playing by the band :)
Good Lord. Talented and gorgeous!
She has an amazing voice. So much strength and character in her singing.❤❤❤
She will always be the Queen of rock to me.. ❤️
Happy Birthday Linda, you're 75 today!
Wish you much health !
I saw Linda one week before this concert in, an L.A. concert ...
amazing !
Are you just having a play on words or don’t you know she died years ago from Parkinsons
@@stephenlong9536 She is NOT DEAD !
They'll never make another Linda.
Great singer. Gorgeous voice. Natural power and unadorned tenderness. Linda was in her own spectrum.
The best version of this song imho
The very first country rock song THIS old man ever heard.
We sure all looked great 45 years ago.
Went to a Neil Young concert and this somewhat known just left The Stone Pony's opened for Neil. Not to often do somewhat known opening acts get a standing ovation. Linda did. My how I remember that voice.
Lll
That's where I first saw her, Ft. Worth ,Tex ...
How lucky can you get! Anything specific you remember from that performance? Standing ovation, huh? Kudos to that crowd. They knew.
@@lnl3237 Yes she did get a standing ovation. Things I remember are she was anti drug, her voice was so strong it hit the wall behind us and we could feel it hit the back of out heads. Neil Young was the only performer who sang "turn on the lights" as his standing ovation. Always thought that was funny as the crowd was asking the venue to turn on the lights and the concert would then be over. This concert was almost 50 years ago. Such talent.
@@corvairkid63 Thank you so much. Your description of her voice bouncing off the wall confirms everything I've ever heard about her live performances. Hopefully, there will be lots of "venues" in Heaven. Her 75th birthday is tomorrow. We'll celebrate with her.
Thank you for taking the time to respond. All the best.
Mary Ann Summers(Gilligan's Island) flashed through my mind the moment just before she started signing!
I wish I had discovered a long time ago, what a voice
She had a way of taking a good song by someone else and making it soooo much better and before its over you can't seem to think that she wrote and was the only one who sang it. Her version of Paul Anka's song You Won't Matter Anymore originally done by Buddy Holly which was good, but then back to back Linda does her version and it just slays me!!! Same with Blue Bayou and that was with Roy Orbison singing his version before she did hers!!! Hers with steel guitar on it is incredible!!!
Just WOW! What a voice!
I hope Linda is happy and well. X.
Oh, saw Linda at a Neil Young concert, no one paid attention, I wanted to tell everyone to shut up and listen! That was her beginning! Have loved here since then! Way back in the 70's!
What made Linda unique was she could sing any kind of song .She is coping with her illness with great dignity .God bless her
What a GREAT singer back in the 70’s!
I saw her live in oct.1976 with andrew.gold and kenny edwards..at nash.tenn.
I first saw Linda live in '71, when her backup band consisted of 2 unknowns- Glen Frey + Don Henley. Saw her many times for years. What a joy!
Sure miss her great voice and cute looks. It seems like only yesterday.
🥀Amazing Song I love it I remember my Mama and sisters use to play this song all the time🥀☝️
Forever an Angel from heaven
BEAUTIFUL
What an incredible woman - RIP Linda.
She’s still with us. Just can’t sing anymore.
hey, you brought me down
Still here. IMHO greatest female vocalist ever.
😮😮😮 She's still very much alive.😊
Damn. She's beautiful.
Great song very true thanks for sharing 😁💜💕🧛♀️✋💯percebt true
how, for christ sake, this top stays in place
magic
We thought we had reached the top when Patsy Cline topped the charts then along came Linda Ronstadt and turned pop music on its head. If there was a god she would still perform. We all love you linda
I agree. But listen to the first version in 1956 by Wanda Jackson. It is a different style of song, with slightly different lyrics, but sung by a great artist.
Well, Bob, there IS a God and Linda is still with us, even though she can’t belt out those great songs in person anymore. I am thankful for the joy she has brought to millions throughout these years, and I pray she will still be with us for a long, long time!
this song has such a solid melody, can't miss with it

Liiiiinda ! When she was smoking hot ! I hope she has had a fine life! And hope she will do her silver years in as little pain as possible. Love you Linda.
Brings me back to the farm.
There are two kinds of men, those who never heard of LR and those who fell in love with her.
THE INFAMOUS WADDY WACHTEL!!
These young female country stars could take a lesson or two here.
¡¡¡MUCHAS FELICIDADES LINDA!! TE QUEREMOS DESDE MADRID (Spain)
Lord have mercy.
helluva band backing her too...
