  • Scratching is usually a normal behaviour for cats, they simply need to be provided with appropriate ways to express this.
However, if you notice any sudden change in your cat's behaviour, including an increase in scratching furniture, carpets and wallpaper around the home, always take them to the vets first to rule out any physical or medical causes.

Great short videos that cover all the key points. Big thank you! 👍🙏😊❤️ Every cat owner should watch. I will try the foil and see if it works.

Totally agree with the premise that cats claw furniture as a means of scent leaving - however didnt really cover cats scratching on carpets - providing a horizontal distraction for my cats offer little difference - i dont have a magical solution - i think i need to look deeper into why they do this

My cat is 6 months and has always scratched the carpet in the narrow hall. I've put a rug similar texture to the carpet, but he will scratch next to it. I've got 3 horizontal scratch pads and he's not interested in any of them, even though I've used cat nip. Am struggling to know what else to do! Could you do a more indepth video on this please?
