Idk exactly the reason but i start doing this 4 years ago and i’m less tired when i wake up. I stopped pushing my alarm by 10minute just to get more sleep too and it helped. Just wake up directly when you first open your eyes even if its before your alarms goes on
Our cat gets crazy twitches and jumps when he dreams. Sometimes his whole body is involved including his eyes. He'll actually open them a bit and you can see his eyeballs rolling around.

My cat sleeps right next to my head on the pillow. I only use the bottom corner and he uses the rest. I wake up all the time with is paw on my head or on my hand. He's so precious. I'm a first time cat owner and I never knew they loved to snuggle like this..
Each cat is different. I had one that would lie on my pillow and lick my forehead. My current kitty is not a lap cat nor does he sleep on my pillow. He does sleep on the bed with me done by my legs.

Omg, same here. My kitties are batshiz crazy at night, and I normally sleep with my face partially covered up. Otherwise, I get startled awake by kitty paws and sometimes claws, crashing down on my face from above. They go tearing thru the house for hours like they're Nascar drivers speeding around the track. It's truly insane, and I am awoken by my body automatically flinching/tensing up as soon as I hear the pitter-pattering of their feet across the floors. This video was quite lovely. Lol my kitties are not yet even a year old, so they have a lot of energy that I know will fade down at least a little as they grow. For now, I shall endure for love.

We knew he was gonna be a big boy when his zoomies and energy did not change AT ALL for 2 years 😭🤣 every night I was awoken to the little shit quite literally jumping off the walls. I had 4 surfboards mounted when we got him, only 1 was on the wall when we moved. He ripped them out by ricocheting off of them. That’s just one example 💀
It’s 100% a relationship saver, my partner & I do this & it helps my sensory issues & sleeping issues so much! I need to cocoon myself to get comfy & I can’t do that while sharing😩
I think every pet owner has this battle, unless you own like a fish or something. At least OPs cat took the edge of the bed. My tiny little pup always takes the middle of the bed, or if I try to lay down around him to keep him comfy he thinks it's the perfect time for a new spot and tries to take my pillow.

I saw a documentary on cats that says they chatter like that to mimic birds so they will come closer. Ive only had one cat do it. She passed away a few years ago. But she was a rescue and 18 when she crossed the bridge. She should have been called murder mittens cuz she brought me all types of gifts. Even a snake once. It was only playing dead and let it loose in my house!

Mine leaves me to sleep as she knows I need my space but in the last hour before alarm time she will start to chirps if she's hungry and sometimes I'll go "Pssst" quietly and she jumps up to see me purring away like crazy and her nose dribbles lol. Too cute ❤
The reason why cats wakes up during person sleep is to check if you're still alive and also to ensure the surrounding is safe from predators, probably because of natural instincts and also they care about you
My older kitty sleeps on my hip (side sleeping), gets back on my other hip. My younger kitty sleeps between my feet and jumps at me during the night. Older cat feels sometimes needs to warm up on my head. Oh the love that I get. Life is good with a cat.

My girl is even sweeter. I just call her name tell her it's bedtime she comes running, jumps up makes a couple circles and then scratches at the sheet so I lift it up and she goes under the sheet and blankets and sleeps like a person with her head on my arm and one or two legs either over my arm or over my chest. But then she gets hot and gets out and if I'm asleep she can't back in again so she will start knocking things off my table like my glasses my phone and whatever else just to wake me up so I'll open the sheet again. All while purring. How could I say no?

Instead of laying behind or beside me, my cat sleeps on top of me. I’m a side sleeper and she just perches on top of me and goes to sleep. Sometimes she doesn’t want to be awake alone so she’ll use my legs as a ramp to get on top of me, then slowly walk over to my head and gently pat my face with her paw until I wake up and pet her. She’s a spoiled brat but I’ve had her for 14 years, ever since I was 3 or 4. She’s my baby.
I sleep with double pillows and the way I have them set up there is a little space where the bottom pillow is revealed. This creates a gap for my cat to lay in (unintentionally… she made it a sleeping space lol). So basically she sleeps next to my head all night and she’ll be there in the morning too. She’ll put her paws on my head or curl up even closer to my head. I never get tired of it because I’m grateful that she chose me to be her person. Cats only typically choose one person to trust. Plus she provides comfort, especially after a long day :)
I'm not making any room in my space. They have their own. We both manage to get through the night well rested unless they get frisky with my feet. They sleep where they sleep and that's one reason I love em.
All this sounds right too. Most cats love too sleep by your head and neck because that's where the most warmth is. I learned that from Jackson Galaxy. That man is a genius when it comes to cats.

I have a cat who’s a chronic cuddler and even though I sleep alone in a two person bed, she refuses to sleep anywhere but directly beside me or on top of me - which is adorable and I love her for it, but I’m the lightest sleeper in the world and I constantly switch sides at night, so I can’t share a bed with her 😭 Everything wakes me up and I always feel too guilty moving her when she’s comfortable, so we sleep in separate rooms except for when I’m napping and stuff. I’m sure she would love to share the bed with me every night tho

My babies take turns sleeping on the pillow next to me. It's never a struggle for space but I do often awaken to my 13 y/o kitten cleaning my hand or face. Cats are more snuggly than I'd ever imagined.
OMG YOU'RE LUCKY!! My cat is in and out of the room ALL NIGHT. She runs around the house like crazy for 30mins, then jumps up on out bed, climbs on me to tap dances in circles for 10mins then cuddle for 20mins, then back out the door to run zoomies all over the house for another 30mins. This goes on EVERY NIGHT and she's 7yrs old now lol
I was just going to ask if she is young? Hehe!! Is she fixed? I had a friend whose cat did the same until she fixed her at like 6 or 7 years old. As an inside cat, she didn't want to risk it, but the vet recommended it, and it changed the cats activities completely. She became much more mellow. I am assuming yours is fixed. Otherwise, you probably would have mentioned it. 🤔🙃 They really are the best, though, so smart, independent, loving, beautiful!! I just love animals in general!!❤❤❤
Yep. That sounds exactly like my 3. A couple of them just have to run across me. I try to keep the door shut but one or two of them will stand at the door and holler. Not meow. But I adore all of them.
Our catas don't have that problem because normally cats are active at dawn (morning and evening). Ours do sleep all night so they stand up at about 5 am when it's getting bringter and there they play with each other or go outside (we have a big enclosed space for them outside because of the extreme traffic right in front of our house). You should consider getting another cat or maybe playing with her more before going to sleep yourself :)
Instead of getting the cat straight to the bed at night make your cat get used to the bed at day and do not force it. Playing with your cat and bringing I'm some snacks in your hands to give to the cat in bed also helps.
@@minzt0 uh i already said she tries to sleep next to me. i dont make her, she chooses to be close to me. but because I move a lot when i sleep or when im lying down, she gets annoyed by that and jumps off. I don't mind wherever she sleeps, as long as she's safe, clean, and comfortable

😂😂😂 my little princess she was a blue Russian. We have a California king. That’s a lot of space right not for that little princess, she would not lay down vertically. She had to lay down, horizontally, stretched out, and we’re both had our feet hanging over the bed and heaven, for bid you move her. She had no problem walking up to you and nipping you in the ankles. And after you said a few will look at you like what’s wrong or you just take yourself back under the covers and try to go to sleep and you can hear ago. Kind of make a giggle sound like that should teach you! I miss that little bugger she lived to be 20 years old.

She had some pretty good sharp teeth and she would nip you. If she was a very vengeful cat, I would get up she would stretch and get up and walk all over my husband and then use his butt to jump down or she would jump up and hit him right on the back and then she run and come and sit with me like I didn’t do anything I’m sitting with mama and I didn’t look at her go what evilness did you do? My cat was like this all the time with me back in my high school years. He'd always sleep in my room throughout the night (I also kept the curtains and blinds up for when he wanted to look outside at night). I found it helped me to sleep knowing that an animal was there with me. To those wondering also, yes, he's still with us. Still a young and energetic cat too. He loves to wait around corners in dark rooms and runs out to a random spot to startle me

That tendency is cat thinks their owners as mothers and shows the butt to lick and clean it as mother cats do to their kittens.
Dogs do this too.

My favorite thing is when my baby Luna is under the covers with only her head sticking out, laid completely flat like a human. She’s started sleeping between my legs again lately, even though she’s well aware I roll around like a gas station hotdog all night. 😂

Omg my mom's cast does the same sh*t to me. I wake up kick her out.. she hit my door so hard to get back in.. then throws her fat butt right back up where she left off... This is why I told her she cannot bring her animals in to live 😂with us.

My girl is even sweeter. I just call her name tell her it's bedtime she comes running, jumps up makes a couple circles and then scratches at the sheet so I lift it up and she goes under the sheet and blankets and sleeps like a person with her head on my arm and one or two legs either over my arm or over my chest. But then she gets hot and gets out and if I'm asleep she can't back in again so she will start knocking things off my table like my glasses my phone and whatever else just to wake me up so I'll open the sheet again. All while purring. How could I say no?
I also go through this every night!! My cat had the whole other side of the bed but decides to lay right behind my back. It's cute, but I also need sleep. 😊

Instead of laying behind or beside me, my cat sleeps on top of me. I’m a side sleeper and she just perches on top of me and goes to sleep. Sometimes she doesn’t want to be awake alone so she’ll use my legs as a ramp to get on top of me, then slowly walk over to my head and gently pat my face with her paw until I wake up and pet her. She’s a spoiled brat but I’ve had her for 14 years, ever since I was 3 or 4. She’s my baby.

I sleep with double pillows and the way I have them set up there is a little space where the bottom pillow is revealed. This creates a gap for my cat to lay in (unintentionally… she made it a sleeping space lol). So basically she sleeps next to my head all night and she’ll be there in the morning too. She’ll put her paws on my head or curl up even closer to my head. I never get tired of it because I’m grateful that she chose me to be her person. Cats only typically choose one person to trust. Plus she provides comfort, especially after a long day :)
I'm not making any room in my space. They have their own. We both manage to get through the night well rested unless they get frisky with my feet.
They sleep where they sleep and that's one reason I love em.
All this sounds right too. Most cats love too sleep by your head and neck because that's where the most warmth is. I learned that from Jackson Galaxy. That man is a genius when it comes to cats.

I have a cat who’s a chronic cuddler and even though I sleep alone in a two person bed, she refuses to sleep anywhere but directly beside me or on top of me - which is adorable and I love her for it, but I’m the lightest sleeper in the world and I constantly switch sides at night, so I can’t share a bed with her 😭 Everything wakes me up and I always feel too guilty moving her when she’s comfortable, so we sleep in separate rooms except for when I’m napping and stuff. I’m sure she would love to share the bed with me every night tho

So very sweet. Reminds me of my precious wee girl, now over the rainbow bridge. When I had surgery or just fell asleep, there she’d be, cuddled up to me, purring and stroking my face with her little paws. I miss you so much, little Mooch.

My babies take turns sleeping on the pillow next to me. It's never a struggle for space but I do often awaken to my 13 y/o kitten cleaning my hand or face. Cats are more snuggly than I'd ever imagined.

OMG YOU'RE LUCKY!! My cat is in and out of the room ALL NIGHT. She runs around the house like crazy for 30mins, then jumps up on out bed, climbs on me to tap dances in circles for 10mins then cuddle for 20mins, then back out the door to run zoomies all over the house for another 30mins. This goes on EVERY NIGHT and she's 7yrs old now lol

I was just going to ask if she is young? Hehe!! Is she fixed? I had a friend whose cat did the same until she fixed her at like 6 or 7 years old. As an inside cat, she didn't want to risk it, but the vet recommended it, and it changed the cats activities completely. She became much more mellow. I am assuming yours is fixed. Otherwise, you probably would have mentioned it. 🤔🙃

Yep. That sounds exactly like my 3. A couple of them just have to run across me. I try to keep the door shut but one or two of them will stand at the door and holler. Not meow. But I adore all of them.
Our catas don't have that problem because normally cats are active at dawn (morning and evening). Ours do sleep all night so they stand up at about 5 am when it's getting bringter and there they play with each other or go outside (we have a big enclosed space for them outside because of the extreme traffic right in front of our house). You should consider getting another cat or maybe playing with her more before going to sleep yourself :)

Instead of getting the cat straight to the bed at night make your cat get used to the bed at day and do not force it. Playing with your cat and bringing I'm some snacks in your hands to give to the cat in bed also helps.
@@minzt0 uh i already said she tries to sleep next to me. i dont make her, she chooses to be close to me. but because I move a lot when i sleep or when im lying down, she gets annoyed by that and jumps off. I don't mind wherever she sleeps, as long as she's safe, clean, and comfortable

😂😂😂 my little princess she was a blue Russian. We have a California king. That’s a lot of space right not for that little princess, she would not lay down vertically. She had to lay down, horizontally, stretched out, and we’re both had our feet hanging over the bed and heaven, for bid you move her. She had no problem walking up to you and nipping you in the ankles. And after you said a few will look at you like what’s wrong or you just take yourself back under the covers and try to go to sleep and you can hear ago. Kind of make a giggle sound like that should teach you! I miss that little bugger she lived to be 20 years old.

If she was a very vengeful cat, I would get up she would stretch and get up and walk all over my husband and then use his butt to jump down or she would jump up and hit him right on the back and then she run and come and sit with me like I didn’t do anything I’m sitting with mama and I didn’t look at her go what evilness did you do? My cat was like this all the time with me back in my high school years. He'd always sleep in my room throughout the night (I also kept the curtains and blinds up for when he wanted to look outside at night). I found it helped me to sleep knowing that an animal was there with me.
To those wondering also, yes, he's still with us. Still a young and energetic cat too. He loves to wait around corners in dark rooms and runs out to a random spot to startle me
