Huh... always thought it was odd how my dominant hands wrist had this, but my left hand doesn't. Maybe I injured it? I can already think of a good few times I did something stupid that really hurt for a long while afterwards that might have stretched the ligaments in my right wrist.
my hand doesn't go up when I push it though, it also doesn't stick out from the side. plus it's always been like that in both sides. Like I can make it slightly smaller if I press my hands flat on a table but it's still way bigger then when you push it up.
Get a 5 gallon bucket, fill it like 3/4 of the way with rice. Put your hands in up to your mid forearm and workout, do all these same movements in the rice. It's nice even resistance, helps with arthritis in your hands as well by making them much stronger

I also have it ever since I was a kid. I train bodyweight excercise and have never had any problem with my wrist. I’ve seen physio etc but nothing they have told me has worked, it has settled down since I’ve stopped the work but it’s still not correct and is definitely weak from underuse! I’d say my styloid sticks out more on that side also 😁

I never really thought of the lollipop thing as the cause of a loose ligament but I've been strengthening my tendons and doing wrist rotations for a bit and it sticks out significantly less than my right hand.
I know this video is kinda old but can you do the strengthening exercise as two seperate exercises? Like can you just do wrist extensions and ulnar deviations seperately or does it have to be this two in one movement?

Didn’t know this was a problem…but my gains have been hindered by lack of wrist strength for years, and I could tell from my experience with muscle imbalances in other parts of my body that an imbalance was a contributing factor. A search for wrist strengthening resulted in my finding this video and I don’t think it’s a coincidence that I do have lollipop wrists and one set of his suggested exercises killed my forearms.

Went to the radiologist and they diagnosed me with something called ulnolunate impaction syndrome. But the same bone sticks out for me. Will this work? They only treatment options they gave me were conservative use, steroidal shots or wrist reconstruction surgery
Dude, after researching DRUJ Subluxation I found that f it's chronic, surgery may generally be required. If it's acute, a cast is generally used for around 6 weeks. I have this I think. I wish it was fixable through exercise but unfortunately it doesn't seem to be. If you have fixed yours and it is now straight, can you make a follow up video?
Can you do a video on De queverians testinovitosis/ Mom's thumb pain I've been suffering from this for the past 8 months. Doc's have said surgery is the only solution. Do you have any tips that would help me manage the pain?
I had a huge fracture when i was a child...lot of damage that nearly cost my my right hand...and now i have a huge prominent styloid process...even my hand is going more toward my radius (unfortunately, i can't attach a picture on RUclips to show the problem). I can't turn much my hand (like i can with my left arm) and my right hand is kinda unstable plus it hurt. how could i strengthen the tendons with the limitation of movement i have? I work out a lot so the hands strength are pretty strong...but i would like to reduce the pain a little and improve the right wrist stability.
also it turns out gaming for 4-12 hours a day for 2 years can also fix it and improve grip strength, I can compare my right hand and left. My left hand has been pressing all of its fingers one by one on the keyboard quickly and in awkward positions really fast and with alot of force moving across the keyboard and stretching. My right hand just sits there and clicks, it moves really fast with precision but doesn't work out the wrist, fingers, or forearms much. My left hand does not have lollipop wrist and my right hand does. My left hand's grip strength is twice as strong as my right. My left hand is faster than my right. My right hand is way more precise than my left. My left hand cannot make quick precise movements down to the milimeter, my right can. There are pros and cons of this but it is probably nowhere near as good as proper training. Just something interesting I noticed.
I ham confused on the last part of the video, the part where the author is doing the exercise with the frying pan. It that a helpful exercise to do for this?
Weird that most people got this from injury. I was born with my pinky tendon able to pretty much slide over and to the outside of my wrist. It used to hurt from overworking it but it's fine for most things.
I have extensor carpi ulnaris rotating around the ulna of the left hand in the area of the hand when I do a rotation with my hand, I do not remember if I ever injured it, but I even wonder if this problem will be corrected.

My wrists have always had these bumps but they’re not as bad as yours. What’s so bad about these? I’ve never had issues with my hands or arms?
Hey! Thanks a lot for adding another problem to my life, especially one that affects my physical health! 😃
Thank you that was very helpful but if you can fix it then why do you still have it ??
Had a bike accident 4 months, microfractured the ulnar bone on the wrist and had ligament damage as well, I couldn't do supination ever since and now the ulnar bone is bulging out of my injured wrist which has been a source of concern for me, hopefully your tips will let me heal and go back to normal, cheers man!
haha we are in the exact same situation. bike accident was 1 year ago. my bone is still sticking out like a goddamn white splotch of paint on a black surface.
@@OvercookedSteak Recently started going to the gym again, pulling exercices are easy to make and I can pull the same weight as I could basically pre-injury, but pushing exercices are simply still too painful
@@funnyv6048 ahh, i see. for me, i can push and pull wait easily, its just certain movements with my palms facing upwards that sometimes hurt a litttle bit
@@OvercookedSteak Me too its like the push ups and the benchpress where my wrist is in a werid position
@@funnyv6048 same, it feels like my wrist has a hole in it or something
Note to uploader: 6-8 weeks is not the same as 5 minutes.
WOW bro didn't know this just thought that's how my arm was been like that since birth...never had a injury or anything..but love the video bro!
Is this something to worry?
This is EXACTLY what I need RIGHT NOW. Thank you so much.
My local shitty doctor tell me that there’s no way to fix this..
I am checking out your kombucha mentioned in notes. I have been drinking for decades. But most in America, jumped on the corporate consumerism train, more about money, mass production, then actually helping heal. I will connect on instagram. I do my best stay away from social media. I’m in OC Calif
Went to the radiologist and they diagnosed me with something called ulnolunate impaction syndrome. But the same bone sticks out for me. Will this work? They only treatment options they gave me were conservative use, steroidal shots or wrist reconstruction surgery
Yea! Try these exercises. You can also use a wrist brace initially.
I’ve the same diagnosis from orthopaedic and did a closed reduction for my isolated DRUJ subluxation. 3rd week on my splint now.
Great video. I wish you can tell me why my joint disappeared aftet a distal radius fracture
Can you do a video on De queverians testinovitosis/ Mom's thumb pain
I've been suffering from this for the past 8 months.
I don't understand. Isn't the lollipop the head of the ulna (not the styloid process)?
Hi what did you use in this part of video 3:05 ???? Its an app, website or something else???
also it turns out gaming for 4-12 hours a day for 2 years can also fix it and improve grip strength, I can compare my right hand and left.
Why would i want to fix this?
Is this also coming from having hypermobility issues like Elhers Danlos Syndrome? I have this but never injured my wrists.
Um I have no idea what any of the exercise jargon means… Like what is a concentric and what is that band called
What about knees caps that looks a little gone forward, thats supposed to be a condition too, pls info.
I ham confused on the last part of the video, the part where the author is doing the exercise with the frying pan. It that a helpful exercise to do for this?
How do you fix it if you have the opposite problem?
Okay but how do you fix the limited range of motion in the shoulder if the problem extends there?
Is there any way you can teach me to fix rotator cuff pain issue? It always comes back..
Does that also helps to make the wrist more, wide. Like, does it give more space for the wrist bones?
I am an armwrestler and have this problem, and it scares me because it could lead to injury
Is this also why my wrists hurt when I bench more than 300 lbs?
Are you keeping your wrists straight when you bench?
@@mustangcody I do my best to maintain the same form every time, but when I start getting over 300lbs my wrists feel like they’ll either give or burst
