Central London is best avoided on a Bank Holiday weekend. I've a couple of other things planned over the weekend but they are away from the tourist hot spots.
Welcome to the West End of London Iain and my local LEGO store ! London is a busy place which is probably why I find all the others so quiet 😃 ... but yes, best avoided during the peek of the day - especially during school holiday time 👍
Hi Greg. Unfortunately it was theory time I had to visit the store while I was in London over the weekend. Luckily the queue outside to get in wasn't too long.
Yesterday you were in Poole Smiths… today in London…..mad lol. I went to that store in Leicester Square at Xmasand it was mad… Thank you Matt from Dorset
Yes, unfortunately my trip to London coincided with the Bank Holiday. Still, glad I went as I was able to get those 2 dragon sets and the London busses.
@@iainsbricks Yes, the London bus is a cool little set (I'm sure I have the larger version somewhere in storage!!) I imagine you it's a set that sells well, when you go to shows.
Great video Iain. Rather you than me, I’d rather walk barefooted on Lego bricks than walk around London. I go to my local Manchester store at opening, peace and quiet.
The little dragon has been available online for quite a while now on the lego site. There is however still a bit of money to be made on those ☺️. I must agree with you on big crouds like that, way to many people haha.
Hi Peter. Oh, I didn't realise mini dragon was still available online. I've already bought my the 3 I'm allowed so couldn't get anymore anyway at the moment, so glad to get 2 more in store.
I probably missed you by a few hours. I was there myself today but about 2 pm. There was still quite a crowd in the shop but nothing you could really describe as a queue to get in.
i was able to get the little london bus in canada for my mum for her birthday, now i am trying to get her the leister minifig to go with her london lego stuff. My mum was born in england, and has been back many times. One day I will get across the pond.
Thanks for your comments. Unfortunately, I don't think the Lester polybag is available anymore - I think they all sold out sometime in the last 12 months
I only go to London on extremely rare occasions. I did manage to snag a Lester poly bag in January of 2020. Do they still sell those there or have they discontinued them now🤔.. Good tour and some nice pickups. 😆
I got the London bus at the airport while visiting London as well. Glad to have it as a souvenir as I don't live in the UK so I don't think I could get it otherwise without paying a premium. By the way, I got the Micro rocket launchpad GWP recently in one of my orders and the box was badly damaged, which was quite disappointing. Do you think it's worth contacting Lego customer service?
Yes, I think a lot of UK airports have the London bus in their duty free shops. If the spacemen set is really badly damaged then customer services will , if they have any left, be able to replace it.
If sets are made by the millions and/or sold for many years how are they rare? Rare is just far too much, most of the time to increase prices. Sought after might be a better way to say is.
The London Bus set is not available at Lego stores or online anymore and the year of the dragon set is only available online, but again, not in stores.
Brave man going there on a bank holiday weekend . No way for me, avoid that place like the plague when it's liable to be busy.

It's def. too packed on bank holidays
A brave man, wouldn't go myself go on a day when schools not on holiday
Unfortunately it was my only opportunity to visit the store this weekend. Luckily I managed to get in and out fairly quickly

You deserve a medal braving that crowd
Great video as usual
Yes, it was a bit too busy, even for me!
I like the Lego store in Battersea, even if the only reason is it’s a bit quieter, that place is near always packed!
Yes, the Battersea store is small but usually much quieter than Leicester Square
I popped up there about a month ago and went on a Saturday! Never again! So busy, couldn't have a proper look round! Left after 5 minutes!
Yes, I think unless you can get there first thing when they open, weekends are best avoided
Wow that is super busy. I like my mini London bus.

Hi Matt. Yes, I've been getting around a bit!
Would love to go to London. Maybe one day great video Ian 😀
It's good to visit once in a while.
Another great video. Thank you
Thanks Sean
Wow! Crazy busy… and it wasn’t even a Lego release day!

Looked crazy busy there! You mad man..lol
Maribel, I think will do well once retired 👍🏻

Damn you’re getting around at the moment!! Nice haul!!
But like you, that crowd would not be my cup of tea!! 😳
Yes, I'm making the most of my weekend.
Far to busy for my liking. I didn't hang around too long.
great to see in side ive never been there so nice look about thanks
Definitely worth a visit, but don't go on a Sunday like I've done!
You do get around Iain, kudos to you
I certainly do!
Nice little haul. About 5 months ago they were still selling 007 speed champ set.. maybe all gone now.
Hi Adam, yes it looks like the 007 Aston Martin sets have all gone now as well.
Great looking store. Jealous!
It's a lovely big store, but very busy with it.

Hi Barry. I was in around 2pm myself I think. Must have missed each other in the crowds. Good that there was hardly any queue though.

In Canada they currently the flowerpot and mythical Pegasus.
We have had the flowerpot online, but not in stores.

did you see if they were selling the dungeons and dragons minifigures there? i’m hoping to go soon
I don't think they are out until the beginning of September
@@iainsbricks oh right, i saw some people on reddit that had some. thank you though
Have you seen there lester 40308 minifigure?
@@miloslavcermak8244 They don't have any left on store anymore

I just managed to get a RRP £45 set for £4.50. Still can't believe it 😅
That's fantastic. Which set was it?
@@iainsbricks 76211! Not the best theme but can't go wrong for the price ☺️
When are you doing a little breakfast in bournem
Breakfast?
Lego london Architecture zombie set.
They had loads of those sets.
I am view 555. What is this rare set?
The mini London bus and the year of the Dragon are both sets which are not currently available in other Lego stores (as far as I know) or online.
@@iainsbricksnot being available anymore doesn’t mean it is rare. Rare is a word used far too much.
