Thanks for sharing such detailed information. Like you, I am registered for Self-Assessment with HMRC for my Bricklink Store and Ebay selling. I pay the correct amount of tax on my sales. That's life, but I do ok. Again, like you, I love what I do. I would like to do brick lego festivals, but they are circa 4 or 5 hours away from where I live.

You could make bank on those merch shields if you can find the matching Nexo swords of Ninjago weapons. Parents will buy them for their kids, just like at Legoland.

Nice video Iain and great to hear that the festival was successful.I still have to wait 2 months for the next brickfestival over here in the Netherlands. I can only hope to sell that many sets for that amount, that would be really great 😊

Wow - what a good day! Nice to see the revenue ready to be used for Black Friday! Hope Leicester will be busy as it’s around the school holidays and parents will be more inclined to spend money as it’s getting colder and coming up to Christmas 🤞

Sad I couldn’t make it to this one, it wa Mrs Minifig Jez’s birthday, and she’s supportive of Lego, but not THAT much! But I’m sure I’ll bump into you at either the Southampton or Portsmouth Festivals, glad this one was a good one for you. (Also… 20:20 “The Winnie The Pooh Steamboat Willie”- I think you might be mixing your Disney genres!!! - it actually made me lol!)

Good going selling that amount, the best part is the fact you enjoy what you do. I love buying Lego for my daughter to build and me to put away sealed sets. Good info as usual, keep them coming.

Great video Ian. Sometimes you have to take a loss, that's the thing with investing if it was shares they go up and down that's what we do. We think it will sell but everything is a gamble we use experience and history in sales but as you said if you take to another event you could sell the sets you didn't think you would. BD-1 sells on eBay for around £105-££115 people listing for loads higher but not selling. I sold 1 for £115 Inc p+p and still have 7 left. well done.

It is good profit as you can buy lots of new lego on top of the money returned!

Great days work with a very good profit margin. You made the right decision to sell the Lego fun fair to then be able to re invest in the future. If you enjoy it then it’s not really work is it 😜. Thank you for the insights as always.
