HOFA Song Contest 2020: hofa-contest.com In this video I demonstrate two methods for creating pitched 808s in Logic Pro X, using Drum Synth and the Step Sequencer, which were introduced in version 10.5.
I think that when you use piano roll the way it changes the pitch is different to when you use the knob, the way the program pitch-bends, its algorithms, so your preferred method may just be the better sounding one
Great stuff as always. I was wondering if you could make a video for anyone who's new to producing and is fully determined to break into the music industry. From your experience, what advice or ideas do you have that would help someone with big goals like this ? Appreciate it.
Swift Nevison Bush Wrangler why in thee hell would you want that clunky unintuitive interface back..? Exs24 never went anywhere It just got a much needed facelift
Hi can you point me to your foundation tutorial on Logic Pro X please. (Quite a few people have recommended you on Logic Pro X user group on FB). Thanks

Great video man, thanks for posting about the new logic update!
I don't understand the math behind the pitch automation. (-4 semitones means 4 semitones below G which would be Eflat correct? )
Correct. Think of each semitone as one piano key. -4 is going 4 notes down, +4 is 4 notes up, so from G +4 is B.
Damn native's and Steinberg wooo !
Thank you! This is very indeed!
Thanks for this. Any idea why my automated notes are playing staccato while the root key notes are full?
Hello. How do you change the root note in the piano roll?
In your opinion is this method alot slower than just using a selected 808 through piano roll? I don't see any advantage of using this method? Thanks
What effect does the „gate“ - option have?
Fantastic tutorial, can you load in your own 808s?
I want the ex24 back. Good video. But how can you do pitch glide with this

I went to upgrade to 10.5 and found out my computer is too old. Guess it might finally be time to let go of my 2011 MBP
Brandon Lamb hurry up before it’s too late. My 2011 gpu failed. The new machines are better
Are these snares from logic?
Everything in the video is stock from Logic. Except for the reverb on the choir/chords.
@@MusicTechHelpGuy Im very impressed with the sounds quality compared to the old version. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.
