The farm keeps us busy, but sometimes its too busy to actually get some of the work done that actually keeps the farm rolling. This is where we find ourselves currently, behind because of numerous things beyond our control, the only thing we can do is get to it, and start busting through those tasks to get the farm back in order. But can we do all that, plus find time to successfully sell at the farmers market and stock the roadside stand, that will be the challenge.

Hope floats when you're young and strong, when you have each other, and the farm is an awesome place to raise kids. If people will buy flowers during the recent economic times, then things will only get better. Keep your eyes on the prize. Don't forget that the shaky times are only the times between here (wherever "here" is at any given time), and success (where you want to be). Don't doubt yourselves; doubt is where failure lives. I know you can do this. And so do you. 🤗💖

Congrats on a solid week of sales!!! And more congrats for getting the things planted. Your future selves will thank you! I reallllly like the crate planting method. Seems much easier to plant, and then clean up after all the cuttings are harvested. What other flowers could you plant like this? Would the ranunculus work in crates? Maybe plant inside then move crates out when temps are right. Just a thought. Can’t wait to see the peonies. I keep trying but have yet to have any successful plants. Such a grandma memory for me! Big hugs for continued progress. I think Ian has the right idea- when things are done and organized, happiness and sleep abounds with minimal worry and stress. Keep doing all the things to get to that zen zone with your business. I’m glad to see no all nighters this week! Oh and go get a new camera this week! Seeing the booth saves time and keeps your customers always seeing a full supply. There is a psychological thing when shoppers see low inventory that prevents them from buying when they perceive scant selections. Big hugs! Em 🌸🌷🌼🌻💐❤❤❤

Pausing this video before the bouquets are done and will watch later. Just wanted to comment from something in the beginning of your Q&A video. I have never considered anything you've said whining. In fact, I'm so impressed and inspired how you seem to always see the bright side of even a "failed" experiment. Ignore that comment from the producer. And I'm not a youtuber, no idea the algorithms, but I'd have been happy to have this broken into two 15 - 20 min videos. I could watch the whole thing in one viewing and know that in a day or two there'd be more of you to see. Things are looking good and thanks for sharing your info and life.

100% on face masks when dealing with soil, mulch, and compost. I garden with my mom who is 71 now. She's gardened her whole life but not like super crazy until recently. Anyway, just being around the dust from the soil causes her to cough really bad so I always make sure she has one on now and I have one on 90% of the time that I'm going to be working with a lot of soil, perlite, vermiculite, or mulch in bulk.

Y'all, I love when you sync the snipping sounds as Serena cuts the flowers to the music. Its very satisfying. I can appreciate the effort it takes to do that, I used to make art videos and I would do something similar where I'd sync different shots with the music. That takes a lot of effort. Your plants are loking great and the garden beds are getting reolanted quickly. Pays off to have all those seeds started!!
Serena or Serina, I'm not sure the correct way to spell your name. My mother-in-law is named Serena with two Es.

The Ranunculus were gorgeous. Love your videos. You guys need to consult and get advice from some time management experts stat. You can’t be having the same problems three years ongoing. Serena can video herself whilst checking and collecting the cash from the register. Why is Ian there videotaping her? Same with Serena harvesting flowers. Set up a tripod and Ian doesn’t have to follow her around videotaping. He could finish other tasks. Seems your time can and should be better managed.
