I have been a student of Jim Rohn since 1983 when I became self employed as Business Growth Specialist showing companies how to grow. I listened to Jim's cassette tape over 400 times entitled "How to be the BEST ! I had worked as an executive in the Automotive Industry for 22 years. From my knowledge I acquired during that experience I was prepared to consult with the top executives in my industry applying what I learned from Jim and getting up everyday focused on service. From this approach I became very successful and more God fearing. In the end I learned to apply a strategy !. To Get Up 2. To Pray Up and 3 To Show Up and always look for opportunities to serve someone. It has given me a great God filled life.
I have an awesome page I use, it's broken as follows 1. What is my current situation? 2. Where do I want to be? 3. What must I do to get there? 4. Who must I rely on to help me get there? 5. What must I become to achieve these things? You need to be brutally honest with these answers. Best to write it all down. Print it and put it up on your wall. See it everyday. I use this to do yearly goals. Hope this helps you, dude. A beautiful life is created.

"Purpose has to be stronger than the object." This is one of the best 24 minutes one can spend and his message of purpose has to be stronger than the object really hit hard. Think about it for a bit because most of the objects that we want, we want for the wrong reasons. Powerful stuff!

Yes, learn from the past and work towards the future, but don't take Scripture out of context. It never promises that you can have anything and everything you want like a spoiled kid. In fact, it says "for what does it profit a man if he gains the whole world, but loses his soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?" Matthew 16:26 It also says "You do not have because you do not ask God. When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures." James 4:2-3 A text taken out of context is just a pretext.
I do wish youtube would support disabling music. To me I just find it annoying but to a lot of hard of hearing people it makes it impossible to listen to. Hearing aids can struggle separating dialog from music or noises. I lived with a family member who had top end hearing aids and she basically couldn't make out any dialog once the music started. A video like this would have to be skipped.
