Imagine if an artist of this caliber showed up today... the moves, music, vision, discipline, fashion, understanding of pop history... with the state of music as it is... I think the world would go absolutely insane.
It's not beyond the realms of possibility. The only issue is, would they find people of the calibre of Quincy Jones and Bernie Grundman to work with. If they did, then yes, the world would indeed go insane.

I remember, when I was a kid, I had a little tape with the BAD album on it, this intro was on it. But when I bought my first BAD cd, it was the 2001 re-edition, without the breathing intro.
Hearing this again is like time travel !
I'm glad to hear this little video made you go back in time :) The early pressings of Bad had different mixes of the songs Bad, The Way You Make Me Feel, I Just Can't Stop Loving You and Smooth Criminal; in the case of the last the difference was the breathing, which was removed later on due to a copyright issue with the holophonic sound. Thanks for posting :)

Also, is there somewhere a version of Liberian Girl without the ending of Speed Demon at the begining ? I think it doesn't really exist because Jackson wanted some kind of continuance... (they cut this part for one of the King Of Pop album, I think, though. But it's not the same...)

Why is this way clearer than whats available to us- i get the dynamic range/compression aspect but the background echoes and transient notes were way clearer too

This sounds more like the PAL version of the music video but so does my picture disk of the Bad album that sounds like UK PAL pitch as well this is how it sounds like on the Picture Disk album in fact as the picture disk is faster than the CD/Download/Tape versions.
I used to have recordings of my picture disk on the hard drive but stupidly seleted them just for the little jump because the needle was too light for the album.

I have not heard any Ortofon in person but on here and to my ears with the few times that I have heard them the bronze seems to sound better than the black. I would love to hear them in person. Anyway, love your channels.

Would the CD single version be the same too then? I prefer the sound of this version but it seems hard to find
why MJ didn't put this version in the cd format? It sounds much better than the currently version...
because modern production/mastering engineers have to follow the wishes of stupid modern marketing execs who think louder (more compression, less dynamic range) == better
